So with a storyline in MyCareer, does that mean we can pull an Andrew Bynum and get injured playing bowling and sit an entire season while getting paid? *sarcasm*

        These video shots are amazing.
I think this is the first step into Next Gen.
Next will be even improved player models, game modes, and commentating system. But i think they want gamers to get a true tv like experience.

Anyway, there's nothing really wrong with an enhanced, tweaked and polished current-gen 2K14 gameplay with next-gen presentation, which was pretty much what I expected.

The tweet hype was kind of ridiculous without having anything to look at though with your mind filling every description in with the nearly flawless, epic imagery of the trailer.

There's actually still quite a lot of minor foot sliding, so I'm not sure what was meant by new "foot planting". I don't think it's true foot planting but it does look like they reworked animations to minimize it-- which is at least an improvement and pretty nice.

I was really hoping to see Live 14 level size-up foot planting, but everywhere or mostly everywhere. I guess that's still a long ways off.
This..I'm in the group that enjoys the current gen gameplay. Does it has some flaws sure but if they did their best to eradicate said flaws then anything else i can tweak(almost wrote twerk for some reason) myself with sliders. This game is def a buy for especially since I held off on the CG version.

Hey...Stop it!! I was Bynum hair stylist for that year and I was ridiculed almost he whole year. While we chose the Perm-Fro in the beginning:

We wanted to settle on the Shaquille Sunflower Look. It would have a been a trend setter if not for that damn bowling night.

Current gen has been fun but I know its time to upgrade. No mention of blacktop tho outside of park hangouts.

Can't believe the complaints about the lack of offline game modes. What more do ya'll want? A "MyCrib" mode? A "MyDUI" mode? C'mon. It's a basketball game.

2K gets a late patch, a few tweaks, and that's about it for a given year. Then it's Lord of the Flies out there.
Don't forget though: those games control the patching process. 2K has to go through (and pay) Sony and MS. But, I agree.

Because it just sounds like LOT of work. So much work it takes the fun out of it, you know?

Some people love to take a "world" and run a simulator to recreate a complete experience.

It is a lot of work but that work is the fun for many people. For others it is the same as painting a painting - except this painting is a recreation of the league and its happenings.

The only concerning part for me as a MyPlayer/MyCareer user is the whole "40hrs of gameplay in your first season" talk. It sounds like a more fleshed out version of SCEA's The Life mode in their game. Which was cool and all but not what I have grown to love in the 2K MyPlayer mode.
