And NHL. It's a HUGE part of it. I've gotta agree that it's most likely to try and make us get Music Unlimited so that they can make some extra money. Sorry Sony, but as disappointed as I am, there's no chance in hell that I'll be subscribing to that. The only time my Playstation gets connected to the internet is for roster updates and patches, because internet service SUCKS where I live.

Is that confirmed? Can Xbox One at least stream from Windows 8? Kind of the point wasn't it?Comment

Sony and MS are fools for this. Apple has won the music war sorry and I don't even buy my music from Itunes. I refuse to believe there will be no streaming on Xbox that defeats the whole media center purpose. Can anyone confirm that? I am not signing up for Sony or MS's music offering for their cloud storageComment

Thanks HustlinOwl sneaky capitalists trying to suck every dime out of the consumer. I guess I am the fool for thinking otherwise. Sounds like music, video is all app specific and must be streamed or lie in the cloud you sign up for. I wonder can you even see photos haha nope you need a photo app, screen saver nope probably have to buy a theme?Comment

either way thats stupid from both companies, but especially sony. after all their talk about 'once you own something, you own it' they pull this. so disappointed in both right now.Comment

Re: PS4 doesn't read MP3s --> No custom sounds for next gen?
im probably being hopefully optimistic, but it doesnt say anything about having music directly on the XBO's HDD, or using an external drive thats connected directly to the XBO. it only says you wont be able to access files on your pc or home network.

Yeah I think you are being optimistic. The only thing that can get them to change their ways is console sales numbers. There is a reason they hold out some of the key details till the end. I am more surprised at Microsoft than Sony but money is money to them. These are convenience items and add some custom effects but I don't think there will be enough outcry because there are other devices that can stream to your network. The small minority of users that use it for customizing games are in the minority again not enough of an outcry.Comment
