I always use autosave normally, but i was trying to expidite the process.

Just played a game, Cavs (me) vs Magic. It was the ECF all over again. LeBron puts up huge numbers (40-8-4), Cavs lose by double-digits.

I enjoyed the game for the most part, but a couple things irked me:

-Fouls. Neither team went to the line enough IMO. I shot 8 FTs compared to the Magic's 14, and we were both attacking the basket, as evidenced by the 56 and 60 points in the paint respectively.

-Jumpers and dunks seemed to come too easily to the CPU. Vince Carter was 8/11 on mostly jumpers, and I contested them well IMO. Also, the CPU dunked WAY too easily. I know Dwight is gonna get his as far as slams, but I felt like I was in his path and he should have been forced into layups a few times.

-Dwight Howard didn't seem to contest shots enough for my liking. He blocked one Varejao dunk, but other than that, he didn't appear to be looking to swat on too many layup attempts by my players

Other than that, it was a good game. I'm gonna make some slider changes if that's cool. Nothing major:

CPU/User Dunk Ability: 45

CPU Mid Range Success: 47
CPU/User Ballhandling: 25 (this is so I can get more non-steal turnovers-- players will lose control of the ball, at which point it can go out of bounds. I'll raise it if Nash, Derrick Rose, Rondo, etc., start losing the ball more than like once a game)
CPU On-Ball Defense: 15 (I don't like not being able to attack off the dribble with anyone)

NBA Rules:

Shooting Foul: 75
Loose Ball Foul: 100

EDIT: Don't you think Shaq deserves higher than a 60/51 Dunk/Standing Dunk respectively? I'd give him at least 70/80 respectively. He still can bang.

See, I am getting TONS of fouls. Played two games this morning using the latest updates, and I was over the limit in the first quarter with 6 min left.

The CPU offense is KILLING me. I just started playing on HoF difficulty and the CPU is consistently hitting upwards of 60% and scoring 30+ points per quarter on me. I know the Warriors defense is pretty bad, but they aren't quite that bad.

The other problem that I am having is game tempo. I am playing on game speed 40 and I purposely played slow paced teams for testing, expecting to see noticeable difference between their play styles and the Warriors....and that just wasn't the case. Both teams that I played were shooting early in the shot clock (10 sec or less) nearly every time down the floor, likely the cause for the high scoring.

Also the And-1 plays are out of control, I am getting like 3-4 per QUARTER right now.

Anyway I am sure that some of this is that I need to practice of the new difficulty. Also- Corey Maggette's free throw looks good as D. Williams. The one he is at right now (Turkoglu I think) isn't even close to what he does in real life.

Just played a quarter against the Bucks, and it was weird-- my players (and the CPU's sometimes) seemed to move like they were stuck in quicksand sometimes. I wanna say it's because of the Ballhandling being lowered, but I dunno. I restarted my system (downloading the game to the hard drive now) without saving sliders, so I'll play another game and see.

Another thing about Milwaukee, their offense was REALLY stagnant. I know, I know, "But it's the Bucks." Even for them though... their offense didn't look like an NBA offense. A lot of one guy holdin the ball doin nothing, and I know that's a time for guys to get open off the ball, but it just wasn't good. You might wanna check out their tendencies, probably a lot of guys Drive tendencies not high enough, or maybe their team Drive tendency as a whole.

A note about that also is that when Jennings was in the game, the offense was a lot better. He attacks the basket way more than anyone else on that team. I'm not saying everyone should drive as much as he does, but they should probably drive more.

Also, I think Shaq's 70/80 Dunk/SD ratings are good, and also, I'd give Hickson around an 80 Dunk, West 68 or so, and Varejao around 75.

Okay, just finished a pretty realistic game: 76ers @ Warriors. Made some key changes to improve my defense...controlled PG exclusively on defense & turned defensive assist down to zero (from 50).

Settings:

12 min quarters
Hall of Fame difficulty
No Sliders, except custom penalties

My Thoughts: This game was played pretty close throughout the first half thanks to Curry and Ellis' 26 combined points in the first half as well as some good rebounding. Also Morrow played pretty well during the first half, hitting I think two threes. My defense was kind of lacking during the first half, but my scoring was able to keep me in the game (typical Warriors). at the half I trailed by I think a score of 62 to 55.

The third quarter was a disaster for me, though. My defense fell apart and all the sudden the 76ers were getting easy buckets, both in transition and in their half court set. Lou Williams, who was ice cold during the first half, suddenly started dropping dimes and Andris Biedrins was getting destroyed in the post by both Brand and Dalembart. I entered the fourth quarter down by I think 16 points.

I came back to make the game interesting behind the scoring of Maggette (who had foul trouble throughout the first half and struggled in the third quarter) and Curry's dime dropping. Monta Ellis also played solid. There were two points in the fourth quarter where I was down by only four points. The first time I got to the line with both Maggette and Monta on consecutive trips down the floor, but only made 1/4 free throws (choked). With about 40 seconds left Monta turned the ball over and Iggy was able to hit a fadeaway jumper with about 12 seconds to go, putting the Sixers up by 5. I missed a three and the were able to dribble out the clock to get the win.

All in all it was a really fun game. I didn't feel like I was getting cheesed by the cpu, and defense felt really realistic with the "defensive assist" slider all the way down. The only thing I had a problem with was the three point plays. They were still WAYYY out of control. Oh also there were too many dunks, including one dunk by Lou Williams in traffic during the third quarter and a few reverse dunks in traffic by Monta Ellis, but I know that Neon hasn't finished adjusting those tendencies/ratings so I will just assume that those will improve.

Ok...I had a crazy drama filled day. Massive layoffs at my job and apparently i fell victim. Just got my laptop back with my database from crazy lady.

Bad news: I have no job.

Good news (for you jerks :P) ias that these rosters will be association ready most likely by or before the end of the weekend.

Oh...I wanted to suggest a ratings drop for Andris Biedrins? He has not been the same since coming back from injury. He has lost all confidence, can't score, gets about half as many rebounds as last year and is the worst FT shooter in the league. Turiaf is going to take the starting C spot IRL.
