maybe you are right and what we'd get is something totally different from what I imagine, but this is what I would like 2 get combining tighter jerseys with current shorts:

If you like my work I appreciate any help: https://www.paypal.me/s3anbarkl3y

you might want to go the route of playing it on pc..... there is no way to get that on the 360...

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

Hokupguy I noticed something interesting today while messing around with some rosters, I loaded up my glitched roster from the DLC and noticed that the "retro8" sixers jersey home and away was on that team, this was the only team that had the DLC jersey on there, but it had correct jersey style and short length, it just had me curious, if there can be the correct jersey style on the sixers jerseys then there should be a way to get the retros on other teams/exported teams as well and still have that retro fit, I tested it in a practice mode and all worked perfect, not weird spots on the jersey or shadows on the legs/arms anywhere..

yes there are 2 ways for the to happen...
          1. 2k gets done
          2. new reditor

for the 60's-80s era style uni cut is based of hidden bytes in the hex code that can not be found just threw hex editor. This something that can be only done by to 2k or with the reditor....

I spent 3 mths looking and going in every possible direction to crack this and you cant.

I posted a page or 2 back of it being done with the new reditor for 2k12...

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

ok to 6 people that who have pm'ed me since yesterday all regarding there hex edits no longer working on there roster since the patch. Nothing has changed folks everything works the same as before. It something that your doing or not doing , make sure your roster is not being replaced the newest roster when you login. Also make sure you dont have auto save on it will over right everything you have done....

But like i said everything works as it did a week ago...

SIDE NOTE : You dont need to PM me regarding hex editing question ask in them in the thread. I am not on here as much any more and there are others to with knowledge regarding hex.

There are guides and tuts every where and please dont pm me to give u step by step on what and have to do something. I have tons of guides in my arena blog if there for 2k11 they work on 2k12. Also other members (PB/Yanks/Chrome) have been kind enough to post others look around. If you cant help your self many of us that do know will be less likely to help you. And if you still dont get it , then hex is over your head.

I have a question hokup and I figure it's probably something fairly easy, can you change the name of teams in a roster file, say if I wanted to change the '97 '98 bulls to the '98 '99 bulls or something is that possible? I've never really worked with a roster file, I know I can change it on the .tmm file but I don't see where the teams are located on the roster file, thanks!

Where can I find the tutorial about how to hex edit jerseys for 2k12? I have the programs but I am unsure how to proceed. I would like to learn how to edit the classic jerseys from the DLC into the game.

just a quick question(s), if i use the settings file here, with all the unlocks, jerseys/teams, etc it has nothing to do with rosters correct? so i can use that settings file with default 2k roster updates and even roster files made by the community, right? thanks in advance..

Yes. The settings file has global edits on. As long as you have that settings file loaded you'll have every jersey unlocked regardless of what roster file you have loaded. They operate independently.

Not necessarily true, unless I'm missing something. For example, I loaded the Official Sim Roster (the Paul Pierce/Tomba collaboration), and the Mardi Gras jersey disappears, regardless of which settings file I load before or after loading the roster.

That's weird. I've never had that problem before. Perhaps they locked them by accident or something. That's really weird. It's really REALLY easy to make mistakes in hex editing. I accidentally changed the Nets home jerseys to the magics black alternates.. lol

hmm, so, then it wouldn't be an issue with the settings here, but the roster creators somehow hexed them out to be selected then?
