Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

I'm having a weird problem. I keep trying to edit my accessory colors and jersey names. In HxD everything seems to take. I save it, rehash, inject. But when I go to load it on my Xbox, it's all the same as before I edited it. Last week I was doing the same exact thing I am now (but with different files) and it was working perfectly. What's even weirder is that even before I edit the jersey names, they don't match what shows up in game. For example, The Knicks current away uni says exactly that in game, but when I look on HxD it says secondary. Same with the Christmas uni, except that says retro 1 in hex code.

The only edits it seems to register are jersey swaps.

This all makes absolutely no sense to me. I've tried deleting all of the rosters on my Xbox/usb/pc. Redownloading the rosters off 2kShare, then save as a regular roster file and try again. I've uninstalled HxD and then redownloaded that. I don't get what's going on. Do I need to clear my cache on 360? If so, how do I do this?

If anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Edit: Cleared my cache and still nothing. Man this is annoying.

I've read and learned so much and may actually have found something that you were looking for earlier in this thread. I have found the fix for the jersey glitch that happens when you apply those 60's -80's style shorts. I figured out how to make the jersey tighter. If you have already figured this out, maybe someone else will find this useful.

I first will show a pic of hex showing the current Suns team ID. This is for their CURRENT HOME jersey. The following pic will explain what's going on.

The next image will show the changes I made to the collar type and shorts style.

That's it!!! No more black shadows on arms and legs. Sorry, but I don't any IN-GAME pics to prove it but it does work! And if you want a tight jersey with the ''V" neck (exp: 85 Sixers), use collar type 6.

One last thing, hokupguy. I will get the reditor when it comes out but I never have messed with it. The only question I have is can I assign retro jerseys into the current jersey's slot? HEX won't allow it because of the length of letters in the jersey code. If you could answer that, I would appreciate it.

So how do I get this to work with exported teams without it making my game freeze? I had the shorts working fine in the edit player menu and everything but I couldnt play a game or do a shoot around or anything without the game freezing... any help?

you cant, the best you can do is make another CAT or exported team arena in quick game. If you want it for season or assc. You would have to use the practice court and only have one logo on center court. But it can only be done with reditor.

I spent crazy amount of hours last year with 2k11 on this. There is no why around it, it sucks...

Ok what about changing the logo, say I have the exported bulls and want to change the bulls court logos to logos from CAT? - I don't want the logo that shoes up in quick game menu to change though, if you understand what I'm asking lol

while i was hexing my 66-67 roster i found out that the Warriors Shorts code is different instead of it being 0140 it is B140.

Hmmm. I'll have to look into that. What is the thing that lets you do that called? 360 transfer kit, right?

you can make the edit you want threw hex. You can do it with reditor have one in quick menu and the picj a cat one based on the home uni that will show on the court.
