Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Lol man when you load a roster into REDitor it only shows what is active in the roster. The way you do it is by swap out a code of pic or cyber face,
But i found all the hidden ones and put the list up a few days ago."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
i think the dribbling moves are part of the dlc mode... kinda like how is has been for the past few yrs regarding black top mode... Best thing i can tell you to do find the dlc glitch roster on 2k share the one that has all the dlc player on there team and no more free agents and try to cut and paste there info from that roster to the one you want to see if the "dribbling moves" come over. But i really dont think they will and might be a big waste of time on your part. I am almost 99.999 % sure its mode realted. That s all i can really tell you sorry."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
I've recently started searching for someone to make 3 hex edit jersey changes for me...are these even possible to do?
Still looking for someone to do this.
Exact details below:
Gamertag: NFCastle
Roster name: please edit me
What I was looking for was to have
Charlotte:
Racing (a) replaced with the away jersey (blue changed to black)
Hornets:
Retro home 1 (teal changed to black)
Retro 2 away replaced with home jersey (white changed to black)
thanks in advance if you are able to do this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Is it possible to make changes like this? Also if it is, if someone could do it thatd be great.<!-- / message -->*AKA NFC3PO on the Madden Modding Discord*Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Can someone answer this for me. I'll try to keep the answer to these questions as simple as I can.
1.) For someone who has never used something like REDitor, and is not overly computer savvy, is this simple enough to figure out how to use and worth getting and investing time in?
2.) Is it simple enough to add in new teams beyond the teams that are already in the game, including the classic teams and the limited 10 CAT slots?
3.) Can you use a roster downloaded from 2kshare that already has alot of edits, hexes, etc., and simply add to it via Reditor for your own personal preferences and additions?
4.) Are things like name glitches and black arms and adding in 'hidden' unis to your newly created teams easily fixable through Reditor "on the fly"? (like if you have invested alot of time into it, are there certain problems that will arise that will make you start over?)
--obviuosly I am new to it all, but I am a rosters and basketball junkie. More so than a 'computer guy'. It all sounds very interesting and something worth investing the time into, though. So just wanted to see if anyone out there might have some helpful incite into it all. And if the answer to Q1 is don't bother, then obviously everything else after is mute.
Thanks in advance.
2. yes
3. yes you can but sometime not knowing what has been edited an how can cause problem and crashes.
4.yes very is.
now let me ask you a question did try to look at the DEMO ?"Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

But this is no different than a game developer pushing back a release date for a game. People are paying for it, and thus would like communication from the developer on release dates, progress, changes, etc. I have major problems with people criticizing roster makers. Those guys are doing a thankless job for free. They don't owe us anything. Vlad is not making a roster that he is simply releasing for free. This is a program like you'd buy from any other developer and as consumers, we have a right to complain a bit.
With all that said, my post was intended to be a bit tongue-in-cheek.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
You need to learn to be able to accept some criticism. Vlad isn't exactly doing this out of the kindness of his heart. Last I checked, people are having to pay for this program, and I am assuming Vlad is making some money off of it. How much money? I have no clue and have zero problems with him charging. He should charge for his AWESOME work.

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
ok lets keep this moving , just got on and found my in box almost full. list leave all questions in the thread. When i or vlad start a new thread solely dedicated to REDitor. This thread will go back to being the hub for hex editing. Link will be posted of the new thread and we will leave the thread for hex and the other for REDitor...."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

You are what is wrong with the world today and lack to show respect where needed to be show and given. Guys like vlad and hokupguy and other on here do so much and are greatly disrespected.
And totally understand someone being offense by coments like this. When they give so much to so many... so to vlad hokupguy portlandblazers hyperball thank you for all you do for os and the nba 2k community. Thank you.
But I do have a problem with the way he responds to people sometimes. In my opinion, this project (Reditor) is no different than a game released by 2k. After all, both parties make money on the product. But according to you because I respect 2k and the great work they have done, I have no right to complain when 2k pushes back a release date. Or what about if 2k didn't give us a release date at all? What if all they said was it will be released sometime in April and as the date grew closer, 2k reps responded with anger and frustration when fans asked when the game would be released? Is that the way a company is supposed to conduct themselves? If this were anyone else, would you be ok with it?
If this were a project like Banzo (sp?) did for the MLB the Show community and it was free, you'd be right. Criticism, expectations for release dates, etc would be unwarranted. But this is not a free product, and this is the responsibility one should expect when they sell a product. People will ask about release dates. They will get frustrated when the product doesn't come out on time. They will want updates from the developers. This is the nature of business. And when hookup responds angrily to prospective buyers, he is not conducting himself in a business manner.
With that said, thanks hookup for all you do. We do owe you a great deal of respect for what you have brought to the community. If our paths ever cross, I'd be honored to buy you a beer (as long as you are of legal drinking age of course).Last edited by TheGame8544; 04-23-2012, 09:52 AM.Comment
