Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Seeing as how I'm new to this redditor/hex editing stuff, someone mind explaining how redditor works, like, is it easy to use/read for someone who isnt technical savy?Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
FYI The code to change the black arms does not work over 2k share, I'm just goofing around today but it does work if you hex it in yourself, I thought I would give it a shot but a least we have a fix and I credit Hokupguy for an amazing find.
p.s I'm referring to individual player DNA, the team method still works.Last edited by jon_superman; 04-19-2012, 05:23 PM.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
according to hokupguy, to use the reditor which comes out either tomorrow or saturday, you just need to know how to use an excel spreadsheet. hex editing is much harder and complicated. that is the basic idea, just saving hokupguy the explanation.Originally posted by Ken Griffey JrMe, I'm the little guy in the group. Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Compared to Hex Editing it is much simpler, the one last year was great, I wouldn't want to edit without it, an hour or so in hex would take minutes or less in the REDitor, I gladly supported Vlad last year and will gladly do it again this year, without him and without Hokupguy starting this thread I don't know where we would be.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
thanks for helping me out but I am a bit confused.
Hokup said "are you setting the player as CAP ? And then changing the player skin tone. Wont change on its own by only changing the port id to 2203."
So I can change the portrait to 089B no problem, but how do I "set the player to a cap and then change the player skin tone"?
thanks

Easiest way is to make a cap, for the shoes use the green in the left hand corner, save the roster and then put it into hex,now in HEX I like to use bytes per row 27, then search for ff00ff99ff00ff99ff, now the player id will be 46 bytes to the left of the first FF and the player portrait will be 64 bytes to the left of the first FF and that is where you enter 089B.Comment
