Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

The major things that reditor does over hex.
set retro uni / dlc uni s as default
    edit courts with/out exporting teams
full editing of name arena players coaches no restrictions
edit player height and weight more or less then the game always
adding extra player slots, teams, coaches , arena, court,
editing all season type for who , what, were , when
    player / coaches stats
    record book
    hall of fame
    player / coaches audio
    draft line up / projection
overidding rotaition for all extra teams all star and rookie game etc
    change team type

Should i keep going.... No... Best thing to do is get the free demo that will be released at the intal release. You can see everything in your files in it and edit... But i wont let you save any changes....

i didnt even know about this, might be something that others can test when they get it...

But with REDitor you can change any team you want into what ever you want. And wont need to even make CAT's...

In the 90-91 roster, 2 of the 7 created teams played 164 games instead of 82. So I am wondering why it would happen to those 2 and not the others. I could be wrong but I thought this was also the case last year even with the Reditor.

Not sure if this was asked before but are you able to change short length for individual players or does each player have to have the same length? For example Karl Malone always seemed to have baggier shorts than his teammates.

I think the shorts length are assigned to each jersey. I don't think they can be changed for individual players, hex or REDitor.

no not last yr i had no issue with roster after i tinkered with it in REDitor.

No the last time that this was possible was back in 2k6 on the old xbox...

Not trying to bash 2k and this is unrelated to the Reditor but is there a logical reason why they don't allow you to edit shorts in the games since it was always an option in the old 2k's and NBA Lives up until the last few years?

im pretty sure that last year there were issues with the amount of games played by created teams in simmed association or season mode games. not sure if it had anything to do with hex editing or the reditor program but as far as i know nobody has gotten to the bottom of it.

as for the shorts length, im wondering if vlad can come up with a workaround to make a player appear to be connected with another team so he can wear shorter shorts while still being on a team that has long shorts....ive said it 1000 times, i dont know why 2k over looks things like this but shorts length (and jersey tightness) should be an individual player edit screen option, the same as it was back in " last gen" consoles. how the heck can they overlook john stockton wearing those booty huggers and karl malone wearing shorts longer than anybody in the nba? OH BOY!!! that really looked like stockton while shooting that free throw! too bad he has huge pants on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a players signature shot animation should be just as important as a players appearance on the court. smh

Don't get me started on 2K eliminating the ability to edit shorts. Seems like 2K took out a lot of player editing options from last gen (editing the color of socks is another big one).

With Reditor there is no need to make CAT's. You can just edit the team you replace in season. It will limit any bug the CAt's cause in game.

There no way to trick the game about player with shorts. because of the team ids.

You recalled wrong, when editing courts and arena does not add any new art to the arena or floor. There are no new art when edit the courts only the color sets. You work with what is in the game... Cant change wizards to bullets on the court that would be new art file...

You can only edit unis as type of style on neck... and if you want to change color would make that uni into CAT uni set and edit the colors but will have team logo on chest always..

Like what i did and showed back in jan of last yr with bucks and nuggets having there old look and logo with correct colors.

So just to much there no more confusion you can not add new art...
