Has anyone ever consider hexing a draft class?

ex. you have like the 2002-2003 classic season roster and for a draft class, you hex edit lebron, melo, darko, wade, bosh etc into the draft class.... it would kinda be like rewriting history and could be sick..... i imagine it is possible with the Reditor and with the methods out there, it could be done in hex

i am sure it can be done it hex never tried or been interstead in doing that. I dont think that we will have time to decode the draft class before Oct 4th with 2k12 is out.

i imagine hex wise, if i use the shoe editor and assign the draftees certain shoe colors, i can find them under hex and then assign player bytes (like lebron, melo, wade, etc) to the draftees.... ill prob check it out in a few, i want to think its a easy process but well see lol

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

Ok through all my trials and tribulations with the free Reditor, I have finished the ALL TIME GREATS roster file with everyone from Bill Russell and Bob Cousy to all the ABA stars to Hakeem and Barkley.

                      Real pics and cyberfaces galore...

Includes all current stars as well...Kobe, Lebron, Dirk, etc.

I need a bit of help to finish this throwback heavy roster. I need someone to:
                      1. put short shorts on all the teams and
                      2. some hidden jerseys like the ABA Nets, etc.

Can someone help me out, so I can release it for the community?
(also, you get first dibs on this roster!
                      thanks

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?

                        hokup,
I am trying to work in hex and your Tuts help,
but how do I change all the teams to short shorts?

You said change all the 5090 to 5080 to change to short shorts but there are no 5090's can I can find.

I see player names, arena names, cities, logos and unis, but no 5090 values.

Please tell me how to do this.

                        thanks

ps-if I want to change the Nets home Jersey ( uh018) to the ABA version (r1h018) how do I do that when the Nets current version is one less letter there?

Also is it possible to change a city, like if I want the Nets in New York instead of New Jersey?

you need to search in the hex value field and not the text value for the shorts. i could be mistaken but i think its 5080 to 5090 to make em short. if im wrong it wont be hard to change back.

as for the nets jersey you wont be able to assign to the nets unless you use reditor or go through a huge ordeal with exported teams. hokup explained to me how its done and it takes hours. i tried and was unsuccessful, youd be better off dropin the $10.18 on reditor

You are correct PB. Hokup had it backwards!

I just got my short shorts in about 10 seconds with "replace all". Man I love the hex editor. It's so easy to use. I'm hooked! I'm reading through this whole thread to find out all the secrets. Anywhere that has all the info condensed? It's taking a lot of time to go through 133 pages of posts...

I will take your advice and get the paid version though, so I can get the throwback unis.

Do you know if cities can be changed in Hex? Like Jersey to New York? Or will it crash the game?
                            thanks!

you can change the name no problem. the game will still call them the new jersey nets though. unless you change it to new york knicks or "home/away"

Becareful don't do masive edit for short shorts for your file w/ hex editor. I have just found doning that is cause things to disappear in the game roster and when you go into the Reditor you can tell things are missing like unis and other info. And if you dont see it and save again with Reditor it is cause crashing and frezzing. To your file , so keep a back up.

I have found this to be true based on roster i did myself for pb which was never released.
