Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
So I am assuming that I would be able to use the editor and make mass roster edits. Will the ratings view as an excel spreadsheet type of view? If I send you a file would you be able to mess around with it and make a few global edits?Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Regardless of what is and is not available compared to the PC version, it will be great for 360 folks, since it's a huge step forward in Roster editing. Unfortunately that's the extent though, Roster editing. Other files will likely never be editable on consoles. Now if you guys can just convince Microsoft and Sony that you should be able to modify files on your system that you have paid for, more progress could be made, legally. Good luck with that though, since even game companies, like Bethesda Softworks (The Elder Scrolls), cannot even convince them of this.
Below is a screenshot showing the Arenas tab.

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Oh, I see. But no, sorry, that texture is located in the global.iff file, which is inaccessible on the consoles, and with REDitor II. REDitor II only handles roster files, such as .ROS, .FXG, and .FDC.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
I'm not sure whether you're referring to court logos (sXXX.iff & tXXX.iff files), or the scorers tables(XdornaXX.iff files), but either way you will not be able to add new ones, since that requires editing the contents of the actual .IFF files. Which you cannot access on the console. Editing the .IFF files is how we change courts, logos, backboards, dornas, cyberfaces, etc... for the PC version. Other tools, such as Photoshop, GIMP, NBA2KXXModTool, and other software is used to edit and manipulate these files, since once extracted they are simply images (.png .bmp) and textures files (.dds). However I imagine you could change a court to use another existing add or logo from another team by re-assigning an existing file.

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Screenshots and video tutorials of REDitor are all over the place, a simple Google search and anyone can view them. I didn't post anything that's not readily available to anyone with the internet. As you'll notice I also indicated that those shots are specifically from the PC version, and commented that I'm unsure what the differences will be. It's not like what I posted is top-secret voodoo or something."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Presenting information and explanations is not what causes confusion, quite the opposite rather, it helps avoid confusion.Comment
