Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
I'm not sure how much modding, if any, you've been involved in before but you should know that with any great mod or great breakthrough that draw lots of interest, also draws a lot of questions. That's just how it is, how it's been, and how it will be. The only way to cut down on this is by compiling a list of the most common questions, the known features, and other "common" tips into one place, a FAQ. Until then you'll continue to receive the same questions over and over, likely you'll see it soon, in the next handful of pages.
So my advice is to take the time to write up an introductory post including a FAQ and then point people to it. This will save you much time and many headaches. Otherwise the cycle continues every few pages with the same questions and the same, "I've already answered that somewhere in this thread." type responses.Comment

Until a true opening post or FAQ is established you will continue to get repetitive questions, that's just how it works. People are not going to sift through 80+ pages to find an answer to a seemingly simple question.

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Then he can ignore those PMs because its well within his rights to
OS is not a hosting place for edit FAQs and he's not a staff member here
He's a regular poster like the rest of you guys are, and he should be able to enjoy his time on the site just the sameComment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Ok let's get this train back on track... I have found a hand full or more unis, hidden retro , werid verison of alts and some old school ABA unis. I will upload some pic's of the findings of in game over the weekend. Still got about a 1000 lines of code to go threw to see what else is there based on unis.
What is driving me nuts is i could sworn that passed game of nba 2k recent on the xbox 360 had the old black jazz alts. Does anyone remember seeing those in the game???
Portlandblazer has been kind enough to forward me some old save files for 2k7-2k9. I was wondering if anybody has any files of NBA 2k6 for the 360 that can send to me."Never say never, because limits are like fears and they are often just an illusion."-M.J.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
^ i dont have any saves from 2k6 on my 360 or pc. i tried searching the internet to see if i could find any without any luck. i cant remember when they last had the legends teams in the retros. i tried looking up pics of that also but only found 2k5 pics and it looked like they had the generic 80s legends unis so i guess 2k4 was the last one that had the real jerseys, thought it was more recent but must have been wrong.Comment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
Hey hokup for those of us using custom arena music... I know the classic teams you can't assign 2k beats... but it you were to switch slots of teams... say for example... you swap the sonics and thunder... then would you be able to assign the sonics tipoff, home and away chants, individual player sounds, etc...
If thats not the way that this can be done... is it possible to edit classic teams music in an editor itself by assigning sounds? ThanksComment

Re: editing roster w/ hex editor?
hmm the uniforms used in the dunk contest don't seem to be tied to the roster file, I was just trying to get the Chicago retro on the dunk contest Jordan, I even replaced every Bulls team away with it, but the dunk contest is still using the "BULLS" one. Any idea where that's stored hokup?Comment
