Yes he has and I wish I had addressed it with version 2. He should still go in the top 10 in both versions of the class, but it wouldn't hurt anything to raise his overall a bit if you wanted to. In the test association I ran he progresses to the mid to high 70s after a few years. Also, I think switching him to SF gives him a slight ratings increase as well, so doing that might cause him to go higher in drafts.

Good to know man. Hope you're enjoying the 2012 class in the meantime. I plan on working on the 2013 class for most of the day today. I'm still on schedule to have it done by early January.

Thanks for the response. This is one of the bets classes I've seen yet and I'm looking forward to the 2013 class. Thanks for your hard work.

I get what you're saying about Coach Cal and his recruits. He definitely puts out NBA talent. Just saying no way they get 5 picks in the first 12. It seems like you're a little high on Kentucky.

You're probably right about 5 in the top 12. It doesn't happen in every draft, but I have seen it more than once. The thing with Teague and Lamb though, is that they rate comparable to other PGs and SGs in the class. Teague is only a 63 overall (4th among PGs), but I guess it's his 75 potential and high speed that's putting him higher. A total of 24 prospects have a higher rating than Teague, but again, with it being a weak PG class teams seem to reach. It usually seems like either him or Kabongo go in the top 10, and whichever one doesn't gets knocked down to around 16 or 17.

I have no idea why Terrence Jones goes so high. I think being a 6-9 SF might have something to do with it. The AI seems to value height when drafting. The thing is though, he comes in as a 71, but in the test association I ran he barely progressed through 5 years, and was sort of a bust, which I like. Not every top 5 pick should develop into an all-star, and he certainly didn't. Meanwhile a guy like John Henson, who comes in at 63 and usually goes early 20s, progressed to a higher rating than Jones over 5 years. And Teague got stuck behind Raymond Felton and Scott Machado in Portland and barely progressed at all. Same for Kidd-Gilchrist, who joined 47 other small forwards in Minnesota and didn't progress that much.

Davis was really the only guy that ended up being a value where he was drafted. He went #1 to the Wizards and progressed from 69 to 85 in 5 years.

Dam, wish more people made draft classes like this for PS3, real or not. Even after your 2013 comes out, I'll never be able to play past 2013, as no one seems to make GOOD draft classes for PS3.

Do you have a formula for ratings and potentials that you use? I LOVE your draft class, and after you make 2013, I want to make my own for my association years down the line.

I'll probably do a 2014 class, there's just no timetable on it right now. Plus by that time you're talking about current high school juniors as the prominent prospects, and that's just difficult to forecast.

As for ratings and potentials, I just try to look at trends. I put a cap on how many guys I think should be rated 70+, and I go down from there. For potential I max it at 85, because potential increases over the years and if you start a 19 year old higher than 85, they're going to progress way too quickly. Most college seniors I give a potential between 50-60. Juniors usually 55-70. Sophomores 60-75, and freshmen 65-85. There are exceptions, but that's sort of subjective as I go along. I also try to make sure younger guys have decent physical ratings but lower awareness and shooting ratings, since those are the two areas NBA players typically improve over time. Hope that helps if you do decide to make your own classes.

And there are a few decent fictional classes on 2Kshare. I downloaded 3 to use when I ran my test association and the ratings were close to on par with mine. Look for Operation Sports Fictional DC1 by VanPelt42, and Fictional-1 and Fictional-2 by ripken523. The ratings are on par with my classes, but the appearances are pretty generic and random. That said, they're still pretty solid classes.

I may try to do some fictional classes of my own after the 2014 class, because I too want to play multiple seasons of my Association. But again, there's no real timetable for that right now. It took me roughly 3 weeks to do the 2012 class and that was without taking any time to play the actual game.

Don't forget about Steven Adams in your 2013 class! If you don't know about him, you should! I love your 2012 class, and really hope you continue making classes past 2013! It would be great to have Jabari Parker (2014 eligible), the Harrison twins (2014) and "the Canadian LeBron" Andrew Wiggins (2015 eligible) in my classes! I'm happy to help and provide any info regarding high school players you need!

I think Quincy Millers a bit low, as some sites have him as a top 10 prospect, and him being a freshman, Hensons a lottery pick, plus Miller tore his ACL last year so you could offset him being high rated, with a low durability rating

Im OK with Teague going high, because Cal's guards usually do progress, but Kabongo a bit lower, as he just doesnt have Teagues upside.

Just curious, are there draft steals? Wish I had access to these, XBOX could use a good draft like this!

Steven Adams will be in the 2013 class, and should be one of the better center prospects in the entire draft. As for 2014, I haven't even begun to think about it yet, but I do know it will be headlined by Parker, the Harrison twins and Nerlens Noel. I probably won't get as far as 2015, but if I do Wiggins will definitely be in that class.

There are definitely steals, including a couple of guys you mentioned in Henson and Miller. They both seem to be going late first round in every draft but their potential is such that they can become very good players. There are also a couple of high-rated low-potential guys like Zeller and Festus Ezeli that constantly drop into the late first round, but can step in and be contributors right away.

And I think you guys are reading way too much into the results of the one draft I posted. It was just one draft, and there is a lot of variation between drafts. There are a lot of variables that determine who is selected where. What I feel is much more important is how the players play and progress once in the league, and judging by the 5 year test association I ran, they seem to progress really well.

CAN'T WAIT for the 2013 class.

Hey, great draft class. Quick question: Do you guys do go in and edit the D-League (like make the guys older so they could retire) so the rosters could look somewhat good with real players after the first season?

For whatever reason 2K decided to eliminate the option to edit the age of D-Leaguers this year, so you're basically stuck with them. I haven't tried it, but I suppose you could edit their ratings down so they're replaced by undrafted rookies and other free agents.
