Davis is one of the guys that probably needs a ratings update, at least with his shooting. Reading scouting reports on him out of high school you get the picture that's he's a poor man's Kevin Durant, a 6'10" guy with a jump shot, but at Kentucky he hasn't shown the ability to hit anything outside of 5-6 feet from the basket. Most of his made FGs have come from dunks. Theoretically I could see him playing some SF in the NBA, but realistically his ceiling is that of Kevin Garnett/Marcus Camby. He's a guy you want around the basket protecting the rim on defense.

      These classes are great!
And I absolutely LOVE the idea for your fictional classes. That would be amazing!
Keep up the good work my man!

I agree he can become a start player, I was mostly just saying he's not nearly as athletic or as built as Lebron. Also sure he could play some SF in the NBA, but it'd be a HUGE was of what he does best. I see him as a Josh Smith type almost IMO. Can hit a couple J's but not enough to justify him (Smith) shooting so many 3's and long 2's. He's better served being down low and using his athleticism to get easy baskets etc.

Chilliad, great job on the 2013 class! I love all the international players you included, it makes for a very realistic 2nd round. I did notice one interesting player you missed though. His names Dario Saric, he's a versatile SF from Croatia (I'm sure you know who he is). Was this done on purpose? Will he be part of the 2014 class?

Thanks again for all your hard work, and if you need some suggestions for players for the 2014 class (as well as 2015, 2016, 2017 etc.) just let me know!

Definitely love v.1 of the 2012 class, but I simulated about 10 years of franchise, and from that class, there were about 3 90-95 players, about 10 85 players, and a lot of 75+ players. Any way to help stop players' potentials from increasing so much every year that it makes them superstars?

Not sure. I didn't think the potentials were that outrageous, as Davis is the highest at 85, and then 3 other players are at 80. Then there's a drop down to 75 for a handful of guys, and everyone else is 70 or lower, with most older guys in the class being in the 50s. I never simmed further than 5 years, because I didn't want to start using the awful generated classes 2K gives you, but I'll try simming a decade to see what results I get.

Just edit the guys overall/potentials after every season of Association. I know it might be a hassle but the progression system of 2k is so messed up it's what I do for every player after every season of Association.

You might want to update your front page to have the 2013 draft class and any future ones. I hated that I had to scour to page 5 for the draft classes. I also bookmarked this for others. Thanks for good Draft Classes.

The magic number for rookies' potential is 75. If they're rated lower than 75, they won't reach the high 80s/90s. But if they start with 75 potential, every year their potential will actually increase for some reason. And they're much more likely to get to at least 90 overall based on how good they were when they were drafted.

My advice is to take every current player in the league and drop their potential by about 10 (except for the veterans/budding stars like Blake Griffin). NBA2K doesn't know how to account for busts...so every young athlete typically reaches their potential..thus, your association becomes flooded with too much talent.

The other thing I would do is to watch your overall potential ratings in each draft class...be very selective about who you rate over 75 POT.

                        Hope that helps everybody.

Thought I would touch base and provide an update on how the 2014 class is coming. I finalized which 80 prospects would be in the class, and I have all of them entered into the game with correct names and schools. Hopefully I'll be able to get started on the actual edits later this week.

As for the 2012 and 2013 class, Bedwardsroy19 has been gracious enough to go back in and edit those classes so they mesh with his outstanding roster (I think touches and speed are probably the biggest areas that will be edited, as well as other tendencies and ratings). I highly suggest you download those edited classes when they come out.

I'm hoping to learn how to properly edit the 2014 class so it works with his rosters and leaves him with less work to do when he goes over the 2014 class. Still not ready to give a timeframe on when the 2014 class will be completed, but I am confident that I will begin work on it later this week.

(Also, the first post in this thread will be updated with info on the 2012 and 2013 classes, both the original versions I made and the Bedwardsroy19 edits when that time comes)

                                Yes, yes, yes and yes.

Those are actually 5 of the 6 freshmen I included (Chris Walker being the 6th). I used random.org to determine their schools (based on current interest). Parker is a Tar Heel, Noel and Randle are Kentucky Wildcats, and the Harrison Twins are headed to Texas. Chris Walker is an FSU Seminole.
