Re: NBA 2k12 (PS3) Roster File Resign - PS3 Xploder

It simply means that I can take any other user's roster file and make it work on my PS3 or the other way around. But it's specific to the game (meaning 2k12 to 2k12, 2k13 to 2k13, etc.).

Remember, it is a re-signing tool not an editing tool.

Could you send me 2 roster files to REDitor@ya***, please?
It should be the same file, but the first copy being before resigning and the second one - after your resign it for your PS3.

To clarify, currently i just wanna take another look, not to work deeply on it. I have to ask you doing so, because i don't own PS3.

      Thank you!

This thread i made a few months back for madden so we basically just resigned and rehashed the file from m13 to m12 i think it would be possible for nba 2k. Sucks since i only had a trial for xploder and it ran out so i was able to continue my work.

But im pretty sure if you were to take a 2k13 roster and resign and rehash a 2k12 roster it would work
        NBA:Philadelphia 76ers
        NFL:Philadelphia Eagles
        NHL:Philadelphia Flyers
        NRL:New Zealand Warriors

I don't think this would work for NBA 2k12 / 2k13 because the 2k13 rosters have different attributes (not all of the same rating criteria -- for example, 2k13 added signature skills). So unless you could actually go in and edit the files (which would require an editing tool and which I don't believe Xploder allows you to do), the rosters wouldn't work.

How can Xploder be used to edit rosters beyond resigning / rehashing?

Thanks for clarifying that because I think some people were confused as to the capabilities of Xploder. I had indicated all along that Xploder was simply a resigning / rehashing tool -- so that people shouldn't expect editing -- that would require another tool -- which is what you have confirmed.

yes u are correct..now, we cant edit the actual rosters (Players, equip., etc.) really only thing we can do is attempt to make a roster from 13 to 12....

You cant use a 2k13 roster in 2k12 ... if that is what you are saying/trying ... if not, can you express better ...

On the other hand, if I understand correctly, you have been able to hex edit for PS3 (solely Madden) ... just not 2k roster files ... so, you can open and alter in hex but not make the roster load after doing that ? ... or you cant even hex edit it ? ... or you think you can but dont know how to hex edit 2k files ? ... any more details would be appreciated to try and see if we can help (guide) you to hex editing 2k13 rosters/association files.

as of right now yes ur right, we CANT use 2k13 rosters in 2k12. i did hex edit the nba 2k file the same way i do madden. that is changing the game tite (ex 13 to 12). then editing the blus #...i loaded the file on my ps3 perfectly fine..but i could not load it in to the game (nba 2k12).

idk y i cant load it, but im thinking it may be because the new teams, faces, jerseys, etc

So is it a possibility that u would be able to finally hex edit nba 2k13 rosters???

the only hex editing that can maybe be done is changing a 13 roster file into 12...i cant edit any thing else in the editor...ive never tried association mode yet.

Since more than a few years, 2k changes the base of its roster/association files so they are not the same, they cant and wont load ...

when you say you cant hex edit nothing else, what do you mean ? can you open up the file and see the data and if so, do you know how to identify shoes from jersies ? cant you open it up and if so what does it say, any pop up message, screen ? what exactly is what you are ecountering ? ... dont want to bother you with such details, just that in them may reside the prospect of us being able to either hex edit or have an editing tool ... detailed description in conjuction with some possible screens are recommended.

THANKs for your contributions tho !
