Thnaks miz. What up guys. Just wanted to know everything worked out fine with my family emergency and I'm back to business. Thanks to everybody (Dreece, ronyell and vtcrb especially) that reminded me that these rosters are secondary and checked on me. Also thanks to Dreece for holding down the thread as usual. Im just ready to see that National Championship game between the Badgers and Longhorns! Now I wanted to discuss a couple of things.
1) While I was gone I had the chance to think about the structure of a few things. Me and Dreece are going to continue to post storylines and such here but I have decided to post more detailed stuff as a blog. Havent decided whether to use OS or my wordpress.com account since I have never really used either and am not fully aware of the limitations of each. None the less, I think that posting stories as we work on a draft class, itll feel even more like a real season. You can have the opportunity to follow teams while you wait for the next draft class and see who you want. Feedback or suggestions on this are more than welcome.
2) I have really been doing a bunch of test and simulations and I have decided that I want to have a wider range of potential (on the lower end) on both versions of the draft classes. Looking at previous drafts, there is a large amount of players (first round) that not only don't reach their potential but simply disappear after a couple of years. This means they weren't even good enough to make a roster. I want the drafts that we make to duplicate that type of danger in drafting a player. If you draft a top ten pick player with 69 potential, sure it sucks but you can easily jump him to 79 with offseason training and your pretty much back in business that quick. So what I'm thinking about doing is going as low as 50 or maybe even 45 with the potential rating to really separate players and really punish you for making the wrong pick (similar to real life NBA).
Let me know what you guys think. Anyways, I'll be back in the lab working towards finishing draft 6. And once these last three weeks of school are finished for me I will be able to move even faster.
