I have a question for "Thee" Rick Blaze. What type of offense do you think will make best use of your skills? And do you think you will be as dominant in the NBA as you were in school?

I think any offense that gets me the DAMN ball, will be making the best use of my skills! Hell!... all I need is basketball, a baseline & a painted key to do my thang! --- I mean... if I could be a part of an offense that gets me a little space in the lane, I think i'd be most effective.

As far as my thoughts on my NBA outlook... Of course I think i'll be dominate in the NBA!!! By the way... just thinking about it; I had this one fan of mine whose name is MavsManiac4Life that gave my fans the name "The Blazers"!... my bad. Let me get back on track here. I honestly have a hard time answering this question because all I can think of is this commercial idea that I've had since high school --- The scene of me dunking on nig... cats comes on the screen & then suddenly stops. The screen turns black & you hear the narrator say this: "We're not going to show you Rick Blaze dunking. We're not even gonna show you Rick Blaze draining the 3. Matter of fact... we're not gonna show you Rick Blaze doing ANYTHING. We're not gonna show you.... because you already know what he can do." --- Now THAT'S A F*^%ING COMMERCIAL!!! --- Do I think i'll be domin... DO I think i'll... DO I... come on kid?! anybody got any better questions?!

Mr. Sapp. Yes. Saw PLENTY of them when I was on my way to tutor some of the "little brothers" & "sisters" in my neighborhood. There were LOTS of clinics in our area... wait... I think I see what you're getting at here. NO SIR. We didn't have the money for me to go. Some of us weren't as privileged as others. NO shrinks. NO surgeries. JUST beasting! Me & my sisters grew up rough man. nN gimmies & no breaks. We fought... I mean LITERALLY FOUGHT for everything that we had. Does that answer your question Mr. Sapp? Thought you might have a rhetorical question or two after our last interview.

I know this is an open forum for random Q & A... but I have a question for YOU Mr. Blackshear?! You ready to see me on the court?!

Blackshear: Whats up Mr. Sapp! What NBA player am I most similar too? Shawn Kemp 100%!! He was my dad's favorite player growing up...his flash... his power..the highlights!! I watched him so much that I guess I started to emulate his style...I wasn't physically gifted as I am now back then so I guess I didn't get the attention I probably deserved. Doesn't matter to me none it's their lost!

What's up guys I can't be more happy to tell you that the regular season for DC8 is about to be underway tonight with our special midnight madness blog which will take place at none other than the Liacouras Center! The Temple Owls and Devon Blackshear will have a special sit down with us to hopefully clear up the Rick Blaze rumor and to give us their outlook for the upcoming season I can't wait. Dwight Manning: That Player that Almost Wasn't

Mississippi State Junior Dwight Manning is just like many players in the nation. He’s competitive, he’s a great teammate and most importantly he is a great basketball player. Unlike many however, three months ago, Dwight was unsure if basketball was in his future. I had the opportunity to meet with the Mississippi State Forward before their season opener.Sapp: Ya know, I was very scared that the next time I saw you, you were no longer going to be a basketball player.

Manning: *laughs* You’re not the first person that’s said that to me.

Sapp: So why don’t you tell me exactly what happened.

Manning: I was going through a phase. I was trying to find myself just like every kid my age is doing.

Sapp: Of course.

Manning: Anyone that knows me personally knows that I’m very big on writing. I’m huge on fiction and really just love finding a fantasy world that I can engulf my brain in.

Sapp: Ok.

Manning: During last season I kept asking myself “Is this really want I want to do for the next twenty years. Is this my life”. It all just seemed so black and white to me.

Sapp: So then you did what?

Manning: I told coach that I wanted to quit basketball at the end of the year to become a full time writer.

Sapp: And how did coach respond.

Manning: A bunch of expletives that I can’t say here but let’s just say that he was quite shocked.

Sapp: So you announced that you were quitting bsketball. The school and the team was preparing to go forward without you and then next thing you know I see a message scroll across my screen that says “Dwight Manning will return to Miss. State basketball team”. What the hell happened?

Manning: Well, a lot of things go through your head before you make such a drastic decision. But even more go through your head afterwards. There was one defining moment though. I went to the CHKD hospital to read to some of the ill children like I do every month. One of the kids Paulie that has cancer has really taken to me so I try to give him extra attention when I can.

Sapp: That’s really nice of you.

Manning: Well, before I left one day Paulie called me over and whispered to me “I know I’m dying but when you get drafted to go to the NBA, I’m going to be there one way or another”. The funny thing is that I never told him I played college ball. I cried… and then after I cried I thought…. hard. I was already on the fence but that did it. That really did it for me.

Sapp: Ok, now I’m trying to fight back tears. Dwight I really have a new found respect for you. So now that you’re back what can the world respect from you this year.

Manning: The same player… but a different person.

Sapp: How so?

Manning: First of all I now know that I don’t have to dedicate all of my time to one thing. It doesn’t have to be black and white. I can write a book during the season if I want to.

Sapp: Ya know, I was going to say that but I figured you would get around to it.

Manning *smiling* yeah I know.

Sapp: I don’t want to hold you up any further but just know that I am rooting for you to succeed. Thanks for coming in.

Manning: I think I will Chris. Thanks for having me.
