Guess who's back. Well guys I know I have not posted as much in the thread due to work, personal life and working on the fictional league. Now that we are in the final stages of the fictional league I will be much more active in the thread. If you have hit me up, texted me (Sorry Yellz, I'm gonna hit you in the morning man), or sent me some kind of message and I have not responded, please understand that it is not personal. Ian….. Who?
Normally we all have a pretty good idea of who is going to take home Player of the Year honors prior to the year starting. I think back to the years of players like Adam Cameron and Whakil Blackshear where the only way certain guys would not win the award would be an injury or some other nonsense taking place. This year a variety of players had the opportunity to really take the crown of best players in the country. While many of those players are still in the running, someone else is the front runner…. Texas A&M center Ian McNeal. I think that so many of us took for granted how good he was due to the fact that he was playing on the same team as amazing point guard Ayo Wilson. Now that he is the leader of the pack he has really surprised the country with just how productive he has been.
With only a month and change left in the college basketball season, Ian McNeal has led the Aggies to a 20 – 5 record and is averaging 19.2 points and 10.1 rebounds. Of course it is still anyone’s award as Larry Barry and Wilbur Adams are still having great seasons as well but Ian McNeal is looks like the favorite. Stay tuned to see how things turn out.

Will I stay or Will I go? Part 1
Every year in college basketball, there create a bit of buzz for themselves or lose a bit of the hype that they already had going in to the year. Today, we are going to look at three freshmen that should bolt for the NBA and in a couple more weeks we will take a look at a a few guys that should go back to school.
IT’S TIME FOR ME TO GO
1) Von Rushing – Center – Virginia
Well earlier in the year, Von Rushing was not only kicked off of the Virginia basketball team but also out of the school. Initially, Rushing stated that he would enter the NBA draft but rumor has it that his mother wants him to attempt to get in to another university. Von, if you are reading this DO NOT LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER. Unfortunately for this kid, the damage has been done. To be honest, the kid has proven that he has NBA talent and he is freaking 7’6. I think he should simply cut his losses and go with his original idea to just bolt for the Association.
2) Geno Smith – Shooting Guard – Memphis
Well for those of you that have not heard the name Geno Smith, allow me to officially introduce you. As it stands, he is the fourth leading scorer in the entire nation. Some scouts have not been shy about Geno’s lack of energy and interest on the defensive end. While that is a point of concern, Geno Smith would more than likely be the number 1 SG available if he were to leave this year. He may not hold that title if he stays at Memphis any longer so that alone is reason for him to leave.
3) Stewart Braxton – Center – Oklahoma State
I know that Stewart Braxton said that he wants to stay in college for more than one year but I have to be honest… this kid is the best prospect available in college right now. When you are at the top of the mountain, I really don’t see the point of going back as it can only hurt you. I suppose that he may want to win a championship but he honestly has a great chance of doing that this year as the team is ranked number 2 in the nation at the moment. I can’t knock Braxton or any kid for wanting to stay in college but my honest opinion is that he should go and make his money.

I NEED A LITTLE MORE TIME
1) Leon Auzenne – Small Forward – UCLA
I know that the UCLA Bruins are having an amazing season and because of it, the entire starting lineup are the beneficiaries of more hype than they probably deserve. One of those individuals is Leon Auzenne. I do believe that Auzenne is going to be a pretty good pro prospect but if he were to leave now he would probably be a late first or early second rounder in a class that looks to be above average as far as SF talent goes. If he waits, I think that he could be a lottery pick. We will see what he decides to do in a month or so.
2) Justin Day – Power Forward – USC
So I really like Justin Day and I think that someday, he will be a top ten pick. At the moment though, he is just a talent that scares many scouts due to his recent injuries. Day has shown flashes of greatness with his ability to score inside and shoot it from behind the arc. Day has scored 25 plus points on four different occasions this year but his issues with his knee have kept him out of more than a few games this season. My suggestion? Go back to school and show the scouts that you can get through a season without the injury issues.
3) Rameek Toole – Shooting Guard - Oklahoma State
I know that Rameek Toole is pretty high on the big board and he would go pretty high if he left now but hear me out. At the current moment, Rameek Toole has accepted the fact that he is not THE GUY on this Oklahoma State team. He often times defers to Stewart Braxton and because of it, I don’t think he has really shown what he is capable of. If Stewart Braxton leaves this year like many people feel that he will, Toole will have the opportunity next year to take on that “star role”. If things go the way that I suspect them to, I think the Toole can jump in to top ten or possibly top five discussion in a future draft.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes
