That would be great! My email is: [email protected]. If I could get DC 6 and on I'd appreciate it. Could I also get the pre-season league preview magazine emailed to me? Thanks!

Was hoping he would go to Yale, drop 30 PPG on the Ivy League and then school them in chess. UCF is an interesting choice tho. It'd be cool to see other big time recruits go there now. We'll just have to see tho, good luck to him, and hopefully he's just as good (or better) as his dad was. (and hopefully he doesn't get into trouble with the law)

        January New Feed

        January 4, 2024
Freshman point guard Enrique Burrell is reportedly unhappy with his lack of point guard duties since the emergence of star freshman point guard J.C. Graham. While the two have played side by side with one another frequently, Graham has been dominating the ball and Burrell has been forced to play off ball. An unnamed source reported that Burrell was promised to be the “guy” at the PG position when he declared but that was before Graham announced that he would be going to Oklahoma. Even with Burrell unhappy, Oklahoma is still the number 1 team in the country and have been destroying teams left and right.

Duke Sophomore center Montego Hennessy has continued to show why he is one of the best players in the country. Hennessy recorded 28 points and 14 rebounds against the Clemson Tigers in a 85 – 69 victory last night.

Miami SG Keon Webber is once again having a superb season. In a local radio interview, his father Charlie “slipped up” when he said that his son would be declaring for the draft following this season. Keon has declined to comment regarding whether or not he has made a decision about declaring for the draft or not.

Christopher Bishop Jr. has officially announced that he would be attending the University of central Florida. Well… actually his mother did. The announcement can be heard here.

Blindside sits down with North Carolina SG Shaun Vegas Wade

        February 1, 2024

There have been names floating around the league for a few seasons now. As you’d expect, NBA scouts are on top of these guys very early into their careers. Perhaps you’ve heard us speaking about them perhaps you can even name them. But let me introduce you to one of these guys set to take the NBA by storm and become the next household name.

BlindSide: Shaun! How are you going buddy?

Wade: Eh, you know man I’m just chilling right now. Schools just started again so I’m just waiting to get back on the court.

BlindSide: I don’t feel like it’s at all necessary but a quick recap on your achievements from last year. You were name a 2nd team All American, you made the All Freshman Team and we had you ranked as a Top 10 prospect on the big board. That’s pretty incredible for your first year in college.

Wade: Thanks man but I’m just out there playing my game ya know. I’m not worried about stats or any of that other cr*p I’ll leave that for some of the other guys out there…

BlindSide: You sound disapproving of that behavior? Anybody in particular?

Wade: Naw man, I’m not about to drop names and start drama for nothing. I’m just saying that I don’t feel that is a necessary part of the game.

BlindSide: So even after such a phenomenal freshman year why did you decide to return to school? You would have had teams foaming at the mouth hoping for you to declare.

Wade: Education man. First and foremost. It would be too easy to go play for a year and then hit the league. My parents as supportive as they have always been they always stressed that my education was just as important. What if for some crazy reason I can’t step out on a floor again. I don’t want to be cleaning toilets for the rest of my life.

BlindSide: That’s very grown up of you. I have to respect that entirely. It’s also something I agree with. But anyway what can we expect from you this year?

Wade: More of the same, that I can promise. I’ll be bringing it though. Like I already said to Mr Sapp last year was just a taste of what I can do. This year I want to assume the leadership role so people better look out cause I ain’t playing around.

BlindSide: Well I know myself and everybody else is waiting and watching intently.

The closest thing we have to him right now is a foreign guy (Fabijan Novoslec) from a few classes back. You know I am not a fan of cloning player but me and Dreece actually have a couple of players in the chamber that have a similar skillset but even better than Thon from an overall standpoint. After Bishop Jr. plays his one year of ball we have a ton o surprise and treats in store. Stay tuned!

                    February News Feed

                    February 2, 2024
Connecticut has had their fair share of extremely talented players come through campus and this year is no different. SF Allan Rondo had a great freshman year and has shot up the big board. This year, the team has seen another freshman emerge in SF Dashon Kee. The two may play the same position but they have been able to make it work sharing the floor. While I have Allan Rondo rated a bit higher than Dashon Kee, Kee appears to be the most explosive player. When asked about the possibility that he will declare for the draft, Kee said “It’s truly 50/50 right now”. I think that Dashon Kee has the potential to be a high profile starter in the league for many years to come and I think now would be the best time for him to bolt for the NBA.

                    February 6, 2024
We briefly discussed NBA prospects that are playing at smaller schools. Pacific C Darmani White is beginning to separate himself from the pack. His success as a freshman can be attributed to his confidence in his ability to compete with the bigger schools. “A jersey is nothing but a jersey. If a player is wearing a Duke jersey or a Kansas jersey, it doesn’t matter because he still has to step on the floor and play ball” Darmani said. “And on the court, I don’t think that any player is better than me”. White first turned heads with his 24 point 11 rebounds performance against the Big Ten’s Missouri Tigers. White appears to no one is quite sure whether or not he will declare at the end of this season. The team appears tournament bound and you can bet that you will start to hear the name “Darmani” many times in the near future.

                    February 13, 2024
These days, seniors seem to be forgotten in a world dominated by underclassmen. Arkansas PF Shelby Clausen may be the best senior in the nation right now. After a 21 point, 9 rebound, 3 block, 2 steal performance against the 4th ranked Utah Utes, Clausen is seeing his stock rise tremendously. Clausen will be a solid pick in the middle of the first round for a team next year.

                    February 18, 2024
Stanford PG Reggie Rice was a top prospect coming out of high school and when he signed with the Cardinals, many expected that his future would be bright. While that dream is not dead, Rice has had his share of struggles. Earlier today, it was reported that Rice will take a short leave of absence as he has been dealing with depression and suicidal ideation. The team did not want to release further details out of respect for Reggie but a psychological evaluation will take place during his leave of absence and hopefully Rice can get the help that he needs.

                    February 23, 2024
Minnesota SF Jesse Sparkman became Minnesota’s all time leader scorer last night after a 31 point performance against conference foe Nebraska. While Sparkman isn’t a top prospect, his accomplishments at Minnesota are very impressive and he should find a spot on a roster in the NBA.

Blindside sits down with high school phenom Dontae Brown

As everybody knows it’s not often we delve into the world of high school basketball but sometimes exceptions are made. With all the hype surrounding Chris Bishop Jr lately there has been a bit of hostility surrounding some of his peers. I’d been hearing a lot of talk out of one guy in particular so I took a flight to see if I could find out a little more.

BlindSide: Dontae' what's going on man. I heard you've been looking to uh, let's say express yourself?

Brown: Wow. A reporter. First time I seen one come around here looking for me. What, Chris "The King" Bishop not talking to yall anymore? Yeah, I got something to say. All of these magazine stories and ESPN specials need to be on the real high school gem, Dontae' Brown.

BlindSide: Oh so somebody is feeling a little left out? Alright well I'm here. This is your moment. Tell us why we should have been covering you instead?

Brown: Thats easy. I'm a baller and not a pretender. Bishop is all name and no game. The kid lived his whole life with millions, never having to work for anything. Whatever he has was handed to him, INCLUDING his alleged "talent". Me? I've been working my *** off since I picked up my first ball at 4. Aside from that, there is NOTHING on the court that I can't do at this point. Scoring? Averaged 27 points as a freshman last year. Rebounding? 3rd in the district. Defense? Go ask the star SF of our rival school how well he played while I was guarding him. Passing? If you're open, I'll find you. It's about time to start actually looking into the talent of the high school level because I can go pick up some guys at the park who can zip Bishop as we speak.

BlindSide: Well well. You see it’s the “Bishop” name that got us looking. We've been in this scouting game awhile now. And we generally keep to a college level. But man everybody loves a rivalry. So let's skip the juvenile jealousy angle and just talk basketball, cool?

Brown: What you want to know?

BlindSide: Well you say "alleged" talent when you speak of Chris Bishop but you don't earn a no1 spot by "allegedly" being good? Are we looking at a similar LeBron & Melo comparison between you and Bishop?

Brown: I can see that being a comparison to us. In high school, Melo had the edge but now this deep into their careers, Lebron has it on lock. I feel like that right now. Someone living in the shadows for now, but then having your talent recognized and surpassing the original "top dog". Only difference is that, I know I'm the best high school player in the country and it'll take a whole lot of work to convince me otherwise. As far as me saying he had "alleged" talent, it'll be obvious when we step on the court together, who's the Lebron and who's the Melo.

BlindSide: I kinda get the feeling you're already calling yourself the LeBron in this story. And that's a pretty big call! About you stepping out on a floor together. Chris has already made it clear he'll only be in college for one year. Does that mean you'll be a one and done yourself?

Brown: I didn't know getting a college degree makes you millions at 20 years old.

BlindSide: Right, well. Have you put any thought into your college career yet? Cause it's sounds like you’re just going after Bishop?

Brown: I have a few schools in mind. The top 3 being St John's over in NY, UNC and UCLA in that order.

BlindSide: Any particular reason for those schools? UCLA has been turning out a lot of guys in “The League” for years now.

Brown: I feel St.John's is underappreciated nowadays. Back in the 80's & 90's, it was a hotspot for NBA talent. Now, who the hell wants to go to St.John's? I feel like I can make that team an instant contender the second I slip on the jersey. UNC simply because of the school's history and conference and UCLA because it's where my parents first met.

BlindSide: So there's a compassionate side under that thick outer skin. I definitely appreciate the St Johns comment. Some of my favorite players have gone through there and with your personality I feel like you'll definitely fit in. But look, Dontae' it's been great coming out here and getting to speak to you I feel I might spread my search more often. Is there anything else you want to add before we wrap this up?

Brown: Just something Kevin Durant said which I feel is more than appropriate for this current situation “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”

BlindSide: Well there you have it guys. Looks like Bishop should “watch” his back. Dontae’ doesn’t plan to be in his shadow for long…

Hey Sapp in that latest write up is the first SF for UConn is that Allan Rondo or Dashon Kee?

                      From this piece:
                      February 2, 2024
Connecticut has had their fair share of extremely talented players come through campus and this year is no different. SF has had a great freshman year and has shot up the big board.

Allan Rondo. Because he's talking about Kee. Just after that sentence

OK thanks I just wanted to clarify and I'm looking forward to the budding rivalry between Bishop and Brown... and also isn't it a little too early to determine that rivalry to be Melo v Lebron??? And great write up on that piece

I don't think so. Was just a comparison to that rivalry. Nothing more. But thanks for the kind words

Woah Dontae Brown is acting like Bishop got his talents from the illuminati. Man can't wait to see how their rivalry look like in the future.

Definitely just an error when I was writing. Sorry about that. But yes, Blindside is right. The sentence should say "SF Allan Rondo HAD a great freshman season". Rondo is a sophomore now and Kee is the freshman.
