As previously stated there were some mistakes in the original scouting report. I have emailed those on the scouting list the corrected report and here is the powerpoint link to the updated version.

I moved Nash, Gasol, Kaman mid season for picks and role players. Ended up with a 75 overall Michael Carter-Williams in the offseason, a tanked season, and two first round picks. Gave LeBron 90.77million over 4 years, got Kyle Lowry, resigned Kobe Bean for 13million.

I already asked VTCRB and Eaglerock what they thought, but I'm curious what do you guys think of this "evolution of Association", "MyGM"?

I guess I don't want to jump to conclusions but I don't like it. The fact that I will lose control of the other teams scares me because theirhas never been a Franchise/Association mode in any game that I can recall that does everything right to the point that I don't have to change something. So basically if I see something that's off or screwed up I just have to smile and get over it. I'm not a fan of that but we will see what happens. Either way, I'm not getting it this year so maybe they'll make some changes by 2k15

Finally got a chance to check out the scouting report, and I gotta say that David Roberts is a guy I'll be rooting for. Great job on them as usual!

The sad thing UKWildcat is that the story is based off of what actually happened to a good friend of mine six years ago (but instead of drowning it was suffocating). Crazy world we live in my friend.

 Kareem Bishop??? …. Aren’t you related to somebody we know???

Six years ago, Cincinnati recruited a kid out of Hampton, Virginia Chris Bishop. He came in to the NCAA as one of the biggest recruits in years and left as one of the best college basketball players the country had seen. Six years later Cincinnati has brought in another Bishop. We talked to sophomore power forward about living in the shadow of his big brother, expectations at Cincinnati and life in general.

Sapp: How often does your brother become a topic during your conversations.

Bishop: That’s how you are going to start off the conversation man?

Sapp: I am a little inconsiderate. How are you Kareem?

Bishop: I’m good.

Sapp: Good, me too… now answer the question.

Bishop: *uncomfortable smile* I don’t think I can even count that high if you really want to know.

Sapp: I don’t mean to be so straight forward but you really seem to be uncomfortable with it all. Is that so?

Bishop: I mean, that’s my big brother and at the end of the day I love him and we are proud of each other but I don’t think anyone would want to have to live up to what my big brother has done in his career.

Sapp: Don’t take this the wrong way Kareem but if you feel that way, why would you come to Cincy… a place that Chris has pretty much cemented himself as the King.

Bishop: I sort of felt like I didn’t have a choice. It is what everyone expected. I mean…. I don’t know. I’m here now. I’m going to make the best of it.

Sapp: Are you not happy at Cincinnati?

Bishop: No no no, I am definitely happy here.

Sapp: How bout we talk some basketball. Last year you had a great freshman season, made the All Freshman team, third team all American and led your team to the Final Four. Tell me about your experience last year.

Bishop: Man, it was great. Jamaal (Warrick) really took me under his wing and helped me with getting used to the college game. I may be the player that everyone talks about but Jamaal is the emotional leader of this team and he has been like a brother to me.

Sapp: Maybe you get to return that favor to the young point guard coming to town this year (Lamont Randle).

Bishop: Most definitely. I have gotten a chance to spend some time with him for some months now and I really like the kid. I think with me and Jamaal having another year under our belt and a talented point guard, we can make an even deeper run.

Sapp: So basically deeper means the championship since you made it to the final four game.

Bishop: I do think that we can bring Cincy another championship. It’s really all about staying focused.

Sapp: Alright, I want to ask you some random questions from some of the fans. Deshawn in Toronto asks “Do you think you have a chance to win player of the year this year and who is going to be the biggest competition”.

Bishop: I think Ray Ray Francis and Che King are the two guys that really stand out to me.

Sapp: Really? You think Che King can win player of the year?

Bishop: Did you see how productive that kid was last year on a stacked team? He is underrated but now that Cameron is gone I think that he will be able to show more.

Sapp: Interesting. Lauren in Waco asks “What is your favorite subject in school”.

Bishop: Economics is fun to me.

Sapp: You’re crazy.

Bishop: I get that a lot when I tell people that.

Sapp: Last is from me…. What is your favorite television show?

Bishop: Walking Dead is the only logical answer.

Sapp: Ok, now see… I’m with you on that. Nothing tops the first season though.

Bishop: Definitely. When Rick had to kill Shane…

Sapp: You cried didn’t you?!?!

Bishop: I’m not answering that.

Sapp: I KNEW IT. Kareem, thanks for visiting with us and good luck during the season.

Wait lol...so the 2k13 classes are in the same timeline as these? So DC5 of last year would be 2010 (if it was six years ago)?

The first two classes for 2k14 were made for 2k13 with stories and everything already prepared. So I faced the decision of either scrapping all of that work or recreating them for 2k14. When I decided to go forward with the classes we already had I could have either started the date from 2025 or just go back to 2015. While it does open up a "flaw" in the way things are dated I wanted to use these dates as opposed to starting so far in the future and getting a ton of questions about how they could play with the previous ten years of the classes. Unfortunately, when you do anything like this you have to sacrifice some level of realism. Even if this was a new timeline separate from 2k13 draft classes someone could easily say "what about the players that are in college now in real life.... where are they"? So to return to the original question, yes the storylines are on the same timeline with the previous game but I ask for you guys to forgive the date/year. HOWEVER, if it does bother people then we can just take the dates away all together.

By the way Melbourne you won the NCAA tournament competition. Hit me in a PM if you still wanted to claim the prize man.

If it's alright with you guys I'm happy for the prize just to be being able to maybe come up with one top 5-10 prospect in a future class (style of play, name, nationality etc)?

And I don't mind at all about the dates, I was just curious.
