Looking for some advice from you guys in my Association since y'all know the draft classes (otherwise I wouldn't use up space on this thread with something like this). I restarted my Lakers Association and am kinda doing the drafts in a weird order, I already drafted DC4 and am about to draft DC1. I need to decide if I'm gonna draft Kurtis Holden or someone else. I've been playing small ball with Beasley as my PF and raining 3s and loved it but I had no interior play or toughness. My roster right now is (starters first).
PG- Norris Cole, Erick Green
SG- Russell Lawson, Jorgen Haksson
SF- Bradley Beal, Justin Tryon, Royce White
PF- Michael Beasley, Ryan Kelly
C- Greg Oden, Anthony Wilson

I had made trades for other teams picks this draft thinking they were going to be low and I could package them and players for a high pick but they all had horrible seasons. I have the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 10th picks in this class; it feels like cheating to have that many top picks so I'm either packaging all but one for a first rounder next year or something. So any advice on if I should take Holden and become a legit inside-outside playing team or keep up the 3s style of ball. Or any other general advice would be awesome. (My long term plan at PG is to get Ayo Wilson since I'm an Aggie so I'm not going for Cameron)

Holden is an absolute beast. I'm playing as the Raptors and I have him next to Jonas Valanciunas. Holden is averaging 10 & 9 to go with 5 assists. He's a fantastic playmaker out of the block. Take him into some workouts to see for yourself. But you won't regret it

Like I could use Ryan Kelly as my stretch 4 if there was a dynamic enough Center that is worth taking over Holden. Since I love both using Holden and having that 3 point shooting PF style I'm at a crossroads with this draft that changes the teams long term future. You know what I mean?

Oh for sure i see what your saying. As of right now i can't recall the entire draft class in terms of whether it holds a center you're looking for. As far as your team philosophy goes it's really gonna come down to your playing style. I run a lot of pick and rolls with my bigs and look to push the tempo through my wings then my PG can shoot the three should he be left open.

When i think about teams with a stretch 4, the Pelicans jump to mind first. Or the 12-13 Knicks team. Who have Chandler as that defensive specialist.

What you could do though is take a guy like Holden and use training camps to achieve that dynamic C/PF hybrid. Like Anthony Davis is. Which i personally think Holden could quite easily become.

The other potential option which comes to mind. Is if you have the scouting reports Sapp provided for each class, then you can take a look and see if somebody else can fill that need later on? I personally can think of the perfect guy to fill that role for you. And is quite capable of being the stretch guy himself.

Lorenzo Giordano the best you gone get in DC1. But if you use DC2 you have Ray Ray Francis(very beastly). DC3 Bill Cheadle, Fabijan Novoselec, Scottie Horace. DC4 Elijah Harper. DC5 Damion Peterson, Jeremiah Devlin, Luis Ramos. All stretch pf and c. Thats why I personally wouldn't skip around in the class order. When we build the drafts we try to balance out the incoming talent. Stretch 4s and 5s that are good to great don't come along every year so it won't happen here either. We do have them in every single class though, the overall talent of them varies greatly. When you searching for our faceup bigs in scouting look for players with at LEAST a C in outside shooting. Thats a clear sign thats he's one of our shooting bigs.

Ray ray dc2 being a beast doesn't even cover it. Him and Augustin from dc1 are two of my favorite players. And Lawson of course.

I ended up drafting Holden with the 5th pick, traded down and got Chris Wells near the end of the 1st, and Will Lanier in the 2nd. I've played one game so far and I love all 3 of these guys. It's really making me possibly rethink what guys I want to keep long term cause I got too many that are gonna be good in a few years.

I usually go in order but I had to get Lawson as soon as possible so I jumped on that draft class first.

Yeah I can see him just destroying people. I'm gonna have to decide between Tryon, Lanier and Beal eventually though and it's not gonna be easy.
