Man my phone was acting STUPID so I couldn't post yesterday. Wanted to let you guys know that Blindside will be contributing some interviews from here on out so expect to see some of those later today. In addition, I'm grinding hard on this scouting report and Dreece is doing his thing as well. Unfortunately, I have to work late Monday and Tuesday and I won't have the time to really work on the class until Wednesday after today. My prediction is that it will be done Wednesday night at the earliest and Saturday at the latest. What you think Dreece.

Oh, and tournament scores coming today as well! Yall better hope Temple don't get bumped out early or all of yall's picks are going to be in trouble lol.

DeAndre White already hates Blackshear. Maybe we can get Wilbur to throw some his way as well lol.

I restarted my Lakers Association and am kinda doing the drafts in a weird order, I already drafted DC4 and am about to draft DC1. I need to decide if I'm gonna draft Kurtis Holden or someone else. I've been playing small ball with Beasley as my PF and raining 3s and loved it but I had no interior play or toughness. My roster right now is (starters first).
                PG- Norris Cole, Erick Green
                SG- Russell Lawson, Jorgen Haksson
SF- Bradley Beal, Justin Tryon, Royce White
                PF- Michael Beasley, Ryan Kelly
                C- Greg Oden, Anthony Wilson

I had made trades for other teams picks this draft thinking they were going to be low and I could package them and players for a high pick but they all had horrible seasons. I have the 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 10th picks in this class; it feels like cheating to have that many top picks so I'm either packaging all but one for a first rounder next year or something. So any advice on if I should take Holden and become a legit inside-outside playing team or keep up the 3s style of ball. Or any other general advice would be awesome. (My long term plan at PG is to get Ayo Wilson since I'm an Aggie so I'm not going for Cameron)
well in my opinion, I like your roster short term and it will probably put fans in the seats by scoring points but I'm not quite sure how far you can take that team in the postseason. My proposal would be to draft holden and start him immediately and then play the frontcourt depending on how the defense is playing you. Having a stretch four is always a good thing in my opinion. With holden you will have the versatility to play him at the 5 ala 05 phoenix style with stoudemire. You could also play go big ala current Memphis and drop Beasley to the 3, Beal to the 2 and Lawson to the point. Anyways that's my cents hope it helps.

As announced, Blindside has been added to the team and has provided us with several interviews from some of the talent in the NCA and around he world. Check those out below so you can learn more about upcoming prospects.

                  BLINDSIDE SPEAKS WITH DOMINGO VARGAS

This is BlindSide reporting from Barcelona, Spain. Sapp called me up and said we had to get a hold of International Prospect Domingo Vargas. Solely based on him just being snubbed from the U19 World Squad who are preparing to take on Team USA in an upcoming exhibition game.

Domingo’s agent agreed to a meeting that following afternoon at my hotel.

BlindSide: Domingo, thank you for meeting with me on such short notice. The squads have just been released for World Squad who are taking on Team USA and you weren’t named. What’s going through your mind right now?

Vargas: To be honest with you, I don’t really care. It’s just an exhibition game. It’s not like there is anything on the line by missing this.

BlindSide: I see. Currently you are the top ranked international 2 guard. You’re sitting just outside the Top 50 on the big board. Do you not think that with a good showing at this game, you could push yourself up in that list?

Vargas: Of course it could, but let’s get real. Spain has a history of producing great talent. And with Domingo (Garcia) already representing us. It’s going to give scouts a reason to keep their eyes on this country.

BlindSide: So we all want to know what is next for Domingo Vargas?
Vargas: I’m going to continue training and continue to prove I am an elite level SG, even with an international snub.

BlindSide: Would that be proven by declaring for the draft?

Vargas: I’m not ready to comment on that just yet. We’ll let the rumor mill churn for now.

BlindSide: Thanks for your time Domingo. All the best for the future. Maybe we’ll see you soon.

Sitting down with standout Freshman from Arizona State, Omari Hill, and pick his brain on the season just past.

BlindSide: Omari, thanks for taking the time to talk with me.

Hill: Oh man, thank you. It’s an honor to speak with you guys.

BlindSide: So Omari, you’ve come off the back of a pretty solid year, making the All American and All Freshman teams. By my count you also ranked second in scoring among freshman. Talk us through your season.

Hill: Man it’s been crazy. I worked my butt off last summer knowing this would be a competitive year, especially running the point. And I came into school this year, where I knew we’d have a great team and that showed with us finishing third in the West. I just gave it all I could every night. My Dad use to say that effort was everything. So I kept that in the back of mind all season long.

BlindSide: It’s funny you mention the competition among Point Guards. We, as viewers have had the pleasure of watching an all-out battle between Whakil Blackshear & Ayo Wilson. Which a lot of people have pegged could possibly be the National Championship game this year. The burning question though, from another Point Guards perspective who is the better player.

Hill: *laughs nervously* This has been the question of the year, I think we’re all hearing it regardless of our position on the court. But like you say from another guy running a team out there I have to hand it to Whakil (Blackshear), he can do everything out there. He scores, he passes, gets back on D. What’s not to like in his game. I can honestly say I’ve learnt a lot playing against him.

BlindSide: Interesting answer. And you could quite possibly be going up against both of these guys again once the tournament begins. Like you said earlier you have the 3rd seed in the west going 27 -4, you are up against Long Beach State first (20-11) How do you and the rest of the guys feel about your chances?

Hill: We’re feeling good man, confident. It’s been a great year and we just wanna carry that momentum forward. We can’t worry about guys like Ayo (Wilson) or Whakil. There are other games before that we have to approach with the same mindset. Because there other guys to worry about before those games.

BlindSide: Other guys? Care to drop any names for us?

Hill: Absolutely, I think they deserve recognition just as much, like I said its all about effort. I was talking about Skyler (Hyun) from Princeton, who I’ve had some great matchups with and then there is Chris Griffin (SG). When he came in with Notre Dame they kept us on our toes. And last I checked both guys are Top 30 on the big board. So that’s talent man.

BlindSide: Okay, last question Omari. What are your plans now? The 1 and done is becoming quite popular among college players. Are you declaring this year or will you be returning for your Sophomore year?

Hill: To tell you the truth I haven’t thought too hard about it yet. The tournament is my focus right now then I’m going to sit down with my Coach and my family and just work out what is best for me.

BlindSide: Thanks for your time today Omari, and all the best to you and the rest of the team.

                  Hill: No problem man, anytime.

Blindside speaks to Oregon's Colin Henry..... kind of

We all remember last years National Championship. A game so tight, it wasn’t until we had 0.2 seconds left on the clock that we knew who the winner was. With that in mind I introduce Colin Henry, a junior Center for the Oregon Ducks who not only won the National Championship that night, but also walked away with Player Of The Game.

Due to the media hype surrounding that Ducks team right now Colin was difficult to sit down and have a face to face interview with. So I got his agent to set up a call with me with a promise that the “Paid player scandal” was not allowed to be part of the conversation.

BlindSide: Colin, Good evening. I know there’s a lot going on right now but we just wanna focus on you, the Player of the Game winner from last years championship.

Colin: Uhh, yeah okay. Sure. What a game huh?

BlindSide: Absolutely it was a game for the ages. Nail biter to the end. So lets talk about the last 15 seconds. Whakil (Blackshear) drops the layup to bring Temple within 1. They foul Sampson and he knocks down both free throws to make it 82 – 79. But this is where it gets crazy. 9.7 seconds on the clock Whakil misses a 3, Wolfe rebounds it and kicks it back out to Blackshear who puts up another 3 and makes it with 3.9 seconds on the clock. Coach calls time. You set a great screen on that inbounds to free up Sampson for the shot off the inbound. What did that feel like from your place on the floor?

Colin: We knew it was going to be a tight game. But we were also confident we could take it out at the end. Coach is great with those end of game scenarios. We wentin from the start with a play up our sleeves anticipating a close game. Above anything I was nervous. We should’ve had that game on the first 3 that Whakil put up. It was me who missed the box out on Wolfe, and he still pushed me around waiting for the second 3 to come in. After that man, Coach tore me a new one. Then when I went back in I knew it was on me to make up for the previous play.

BlindSide: There are still people now who think that after a lapse on your part you maybe shouldn’t have walked away with POTG. It was Sampson who made the free throws and made that game winner. Do you have an opinion on that?

Colin: These people obviously haven’t been out on the f*&$ing floor in such a clutch situation. I don’t think my one **** up should take away from the previous 39 minutes on the floor. Yeah he (Sampson) scored those last 4 points to give us the win. But that’s the game of basketball. I ****** up and somebody else covered for me.

Colin’s Agent: Ok I think Colin has said enough.

Blindside talks with First Team All American Christian McLain

There aren’t too many guys filling up the stat sheet the same way the Christian McLain is. I took a moment to catch up with the Senior from Wisconsin before the season winds down.

BlindSide: A massive year for you, one of two guys filling up the entire stat sheet with some pretty respectful numbers. And a first team selection. You have to be feeling pretty good right now leading up to Tournament time?

Christian: It’s pretty surreal, I just went out there and played the game. And that is exactly the same way I will approach our game with Alabama A&M.

BlindSide: That’s the attitude we’ve all seen develop over these past four years. You potentially face a pretty tough pool in your conference. Obviously the unbeaten Temple, but Maryland hit that 30 win mark also.

Christian: Every game has potential to be pretty tough it’s all in the mindset you carry. We’ve all seen the game of basketball unfold in the unlikeliest of ways over the years.

BlindSide: So what happens once the Tournament comes to a close. Obviously this is your last year at Wisconsin. You’re currently ranked Top 10 on the latest big board. Do you have any thoughts on declaring for the draft?

Christian: You know it’s something that’s been on my mind since before the season even started. I’ve had Gabe (Ripple) hounding me about it and how he wants to join me and we can run things like we did here.

BlindSide: Just for those who may not know, we’re taking SF Gabriel Ripple. Your back up at Wisconsin.

Christian: Yeah that’s him. He’s an awesome dude. I took him under my wing from the first practice. I think he has all the potential in the world to take that next step. As for me though I’m about to graduate with honors and I’ve already had a few interviews for jobs. So I’ll let the tournament play out and see what comes of it.

BlindSide: Well I think I speak for us all when I say we can’t wait to hear your decision. You’re going to be great no matter where you go next. I personally would love to see you and Gabriel on the same team somewhere in the future.

Thanks for that Blindside. Time to get into this tournament. Stay tuned for scores

I was going to pick Domingo but like I said didn't want to confuse the coach with two of them. He can hold it against me. lol I was the one who passed him by for a much lower rated talent.

By the way nice work Blindsidez!
