High School High!
Our NCAA tournament is underway and so is our high school circuit! In preparation for our upcoming highschool showcase game in which 20 of our best HS athletes will give you a glimpse into the future of our classes. Be warned though! Just because a guy is rated high on our high school list don't mean that he will become a dominant pro OR even make it pro(R.I.P Fernando Doggette DC8).
My first order of business is to head down to Statesboro, Ga. to check out the #1 HS player SG Russell Lawson. Lawson has been on fire lately averaging 29.8 pts over the last 5 games, not including the 52 point out burst he had against Milton earlier in the season. Early signs is that his jumper is the real deal! super silky stroke and he handles the ball very well. Athletically he is in the upper echelon of available high school players but he is just average on defense at this point, but for a 18 year old kid with the scoring capability that he has I wouldn't sweat that too much. (Early draft entry: Average)
I know I stated earlier that the main reason I took this trip was to see the #1 HS player in the land but the #79 player in...........whoooaa Dreece #79?!? Yes the #79 rated HS prospect in the nation has been creating quite a buzz for himself lately and now SG Nature Minaj....LMAO I couldn't get enough of that name, has a chance to show the nation what he is made of.(Early draft entry: low)

Game Analysis
If I told people once I told them a thousand times! Basketball is a game that you cannot gauge players by raw numbers alone..matchups, heart, will, all play a big part in this game and tonight this game showed me one thing....never sleep on the underdog!
Nature Minaj not only came into Stateboro and won the game but he also matched one of the most dangerous scorers in the nation point for point and attacked the rim like there was no defense in front of him.(current rank #79: Stock Rising!)
Statline and highlight reel>>>>>>>24pts 3reb 3ast 1st 9-13 fg 0-1 3pt 6-9 ft
Russel Lawson was bested in tonights matchup by a super aggressive player but that doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve to maintain his #1 rank. In my opinion if they didn't have the one year in college rule that he would definitely head pro straight out of HS but he would need to hit the weights ASAP! He is sooo fluid though...GT got a good one!(current rank #1: Stays Same)
Statline and highlight reel>>>>>>24pts 3reb 2ast 2to 9-14 fg 2-4 3pt 4-4 ft
