Or maybe even, top recruits choosing another sport over Basketball

We've done this before.

Remember I don't look ahead so you guys may have already incorporated some of these items, but how about serious injuries, decommits, transfers, top recruits decommitting and choosing Purdue , grades for draft classes by positions and overall depth for future classes included in scouting reports (to help with future planning)...you guys are making it fun!

We did every last one of those except choosing Purdue

I was just telling Sapp that we already did damn near everything lol. We in the think tank tho fellas, you can believe that.

I keep forgetting, but here is my draft class player. I'll make it public so people can be on the look out, hope you guys like it.

College: N/A (Chinese Pro League)

Strengths: Comfortable playing outside and up and down ball. Decent outside and midrange shot. Tenacious rebounder. For a big man, exceptional ball handling skills. Consistent free throw shooter.

Weaknesses: Low stamina. Inconsistent shooter. A bit injury prone. Still developing a low post offensive game. Rarely dunks.

Personality: A very quiet, shy person. Lets his game do the talking, shakes hands, and you don't see him again until the next practice or game

Tendencies: Frequently uses the pick and roll to get his shot. Shoots most threes from the top of the key. Drives to rim when guarded by another big.


Story: Known as the “Chinese Kevin Love", Ao Long was born to Chinese parents in you guessed it......Seattle, Washington. Living in Seattle for the first 8 years of his life, Ao was the first member of his family to learn English fluently when his parents moved him back to China after the 3rd grade. Upon returning to his homeland, Long began learning the game of basketball from his uncle, a famed Chinese basketball coach.



Under his teachings, Ao was able to enter the CBA at 18 years old. At first, Ao was a secret to China alone, until highlights of a 26-20 game popped up on Youtube. US fans went insane. He was in the SportsCenter Top 10. All of a sudden, Ao Long was being surrounded by Chinese press to his face, and NBA scouts from afar. No one is sure if Long will be able to handle the pressure and scrutinization of the NBA, and he isn't letting it be known. Most of the time he just walks past the cameras and reporters. He can't hide for long though. Once he hits American soil, those interviews will be required.

I know you kind of have this with the new player ceiling stuff but how about adding a player comparison part on players scouting reports. Mainly in terms of playing style and not necessarily overall skill. Say someone's player comparison is Paul George he an athletic exceptional defender that can hit the outside shot but may never actually be as good as Paul George.

We took this about because it was taking to much time to do. And to be honest it became a little boring a repetitve to find guys to comare our guys to when in the powerpoint we list players by rank. We have all the different lists for shooters, rebounders, defenders, etc.

Ranked 4th defensive at postion
Ranked 8th overall offensively
Ranked 10th overall defensively
2nd on high flyer list
5th on the perimeter defense list

Its then your job after readind the report to kinda guage the player.

Thhheeenn do predraft workouts and you will have plenty of info and a comparison during the draft in game

It way waaaayyy to much work and to be honest it really doesn't project OUR players how we want. Give me a NBA comparison for Fabijan Novoselec....I will wait to you give me a valid answer lol

Come draft day the game gives you an NBA comparison in the players that you've scouted during the season

Lol yeah kwc.... the NBA comparison thing is stupid hard. When I first started doing all of this years ago I used to give comparisons just for the lottery players and THAT took me forever lol. Like Dreece said, a player like Fabijan whom is power forward with better handles than almost every point guard in the draft. Even if I look through the history books for a guy like that I have to determine whether the comparison works on any other levels or if I'm just giving the comparison because it's another PF that can handle the rock. I do appreciate the feedback though but it's so damn much and almost impossible to do it accurately.

Any other suggestions guys?

Man, I miss this!

I sold my 360 when I got my PS4. I have restarted my franchise more times than I can count due to currupted files or them getting boring... Nothing ever got boring using these classes.

Hopefully 2K next-gen basketball will get all it's features back and be a bit more polished so you guys can start working your magic. The depth of these classes and the fun they gave me these past 2 years will not be forgotten!

I think a cool thing for someone (maybe multiple players) is that they take the "Brandon Jennings route" and go from high school to overseas and then enter the draft.
