          parad is defensive assist at 0 still after post patch?

            I thought defensive assist at 0 turns off lock on D? Lock on D is a gimmick at best, but it's the only way to trigger the animation where you are pushed up against the guy with the ball

              I've pressed up against the ball handler with it at 0. You can still play good D even with it at 0, just gotta handle it smartly.

                one question pared....

                why is on ball d so high for the CPU? Is that because your on pro or would u do that on any level? I thought d was supposed to be alot tougher now post patch.

                  In my experience, the CPU on ball defense after the patch has gone soft. Pre-patch, a full court press would see Kidd have trouble bringing up the ball. Now, a full court press doesn't do much to slow Kidd down. So I guess that's why he cranked up the on-ball defense slider.

                    Just played a game on Pro and I see why. I was Devin Harris and he abused Nelson.

                    Pared do you think I should raise the defensive awareness or raise the on ball more?

                      Pared, in your first post you mention that game speed alters clock mechanics(i guess slow/fast) but this is not true.It only changes game speed.The clock works the same.A sec is a sec even if you set game speed to 30.Lowering game speed means that scores and FGA will decrease in general.

                        I left game speed at 50, but lowered quickness to 30. They just slide too much at 50. At 30 they feel much more realistic.

                          I had to make a few tweaks myself. Equalized CPU and human shooting, lowered layups (too many contact layups were going in for the CPU & human IMO) and tweaked quickness (players are too twitchy and slide a lot). Also turned down CPU on ball d a bit; too high for my tastes, bad defenders became great ones.

                          So, the sliders I have now don't resemble Pared's much. Thanks for the base anyway.

                                Pared, can you explain me the rationale behind the tweaks to ball handling, hands, on ball D and Def Aw?
