Re: Playmakers NBA 2K10 Pro Level Sliders

Ok thanks for the PM fellas i put them on 2kshare now

    Update is available under playmakers1978

Most of the tweaks were either a +5 increase or -5 decrease in the sliders nothing drastic as i stated. So if you like a setting the way it was before it's easy to put it back.

I still need to work on a few things for Association mode that I'm testing for game speed, player speed and quickness. I'll have more time this weekend to update those settings again.

Can you make a game/player speed quickness setting for 50 gamespeed?

Also is it necessary to alter the shoothing tendencies that drastically? Most that i've seen on here so far don't

        I'm trying this weekend....

At 50 speed it appears everything is moving just a tad too fast IMO. I'm working on lowering Player speed and Quickness with Game Speed at 50 right now.

As for the tendencies you can drop them down but i'm using default rosters and to me the players don't shoot enough 3's or attack the basket enough off the dribbble that's why i increase those two tendencies.

You might find some edited rosters that make players attack the basket more and shoot more 3's or you could adjust the coaching tendencies.

I normally do that type of stuff myself in basketball games but it's becoming so damn time confusing now days i'm just rolling with the default rosters right now

          Sweet

Okay I'll try your sliders on default rosters a few times and see how that works.

Could you explain the Hustle setting at 100?

I notice that it affects fatigue levels incredibly. It gets to the point where I'm playing my starters minutes in the high 20s (12 minute quarters) due to them getting to low fatigue levels quickly

Setting it back to 50, I find that everything is fine. However, I don't want to affect any of the shooting %s and such that may come with the lower fatigue levels

4 minutes into the 1st quarter, I had one of my starters at 1 fatigue bar today.

You can lower it down to about 75-80 if you like........

I just don't like seeing players watch a loose ball and show lack of effort. If it is effecting your player stamina then you could also tweak the Fatigue slider to offset hustle at 100

I usually play only 9 minute qtr's so it (fatigue) might not be that apparent to me as someone that plays a little longer 10-12 minutes

I find the Defense with Playmakers sliders a major headache. Playing as the pistons, I never have anyone under the net rebounding, computer seems to make A LOT of difficult shots, and overall defense is just poor. I am not the best player in the world, but even using lock on defense, the computer is making 80% of their shots it seems.

Not sure what I should tweak, or try a different set of sliders.

Re: Playmakers NBA 2K10 Pro Level Sliders

I'm loving these sliders playmaker, thanks a ton for making these.

I've played 4 games with the sliders so, 2-2 so far. I feel like I'm getting more diverse games. With default sliders all the games felt similar, plus I could get to the hole with Manu almost every trip down the court.

Last nights game was a good one. I'm the nuggets in my association and I was playing the Celtics (I did a fantasy draft, my team is pretty good, the C's are pretty bad). I got out to a 16 point lead in the 1st half.
In the 3rd quarter they got it down to 5 with the ball and all of the momentum. I honestly couldn't do anything on offense in the 3rd, it was driving me crazy. So anyway, they have the ball with no shot clock, they put up a shot with like 6 seconds to go, miss, I get the rebound and outlet to Manu who drills a half court shot to put me up 8. It turned the entire game around, I ended up winning by 13 or so.

One thing I've noticed is the game takes quite a bit longer to finish. A lot more stoppages in play, but that's realistic so I'm loving it.

                  Thanks again playmaker.

thanks a bunch for these sliders playmakers! they really give us a great game experience with realistic stats. couple questions..do you play with 9 min quarters and living rosters? also what are you getting shooting percentages wise? i personally like the discrepancy because i've had games were i shot close to 60 but also games were i struggled to stay in the 40s..

I use the regular rosters....i guess that's the 2k living rosters.

I'm only playing 9 minutes because i don't get much time during the week. I know that isn't realistic but i don't have the free time so you can bunp it to about 11-12 minutes for realistic scores.

I'm still not completely happy with the sliders. So, with the X-Mas break coming up i should be able to fix some of the problem areas with the sliders since i'll have some free time to observe them more.

Also it seems that when comparing games played to the simulated stats the turnovers are a lot lower in the games played. Last game I had 6 and the Nets had 7 both were the lowest in the league and I think the next lowest was 10. I was trying to think of ways to increase this so it balances with the simulated stats.

Assists seem to happen too often. Usually both teams get around 30 and that's at the high end of the spectrum in the association stats. Most of them are from unguarded kick outs or quick pass and shoot in general. I'm thinking of turning down every shooting tendency. It seems like I cannot stop my team from switching their defensive assignments and then losing a guy.

I'm not really a hardcore realistic stats kinda guy since I don't know them very well in the NBA but I like to make sure my stats won't be too far off of the rest of the association teams
the way Ive been able to increase fouls is by increasing all of my players foul sliders into the 90s.
also increase the AI attack the basket slider.

lower assists- lower your players pass tendencies. I lowered mine to each player in the 40s. also player quickness and player speed helps. lower you Offense Awareness also.
                          game speed-50
                          player speed-40
                          quickness-0

turnovers, decrease hands, increase play passing lanes and decrease handle.

assists will still be high but not in teh 30s over the course of a season. Im currently averaging 28 assists a game. Ive seen a high of 36 and a low of 14.

                          @PLaymaker
dont you find the CPU teams offense stagnant with the Offensive Awareness at 20. I see no movement at all by the CPU when its this low.
In addition, Ive noticed that the CPU is less aware of game play situations. they call less timeouts. less subs, dont take appropriate shots when the game is on the line.
The user at 15-20 is fine cause once you call a play there is movement.
Ive left my CPU offensive Awareness between 45-50.

Im playing 11 minute quarters and getting great stats. Im on 2 seasons now with the same slider set.

I had a franchise as the Clippers where they played absolutely atrocious defense. I thought maybe it was the sliders, perhaps me killing the hustle (I had issues with fatigue) played a role, etc. Then I realized: it's the Clippers.

The point is that your team may just be bad on defense. I had guys getting good looks/to the rim from poor man/team defense, but also had issues where the CPU shot too well (especially inside). I'd be careful when adjusting the shooting sliders as they seem to be sensitive and you'll go from them hitting 50% to 30% quite easily.

I'd play around with def. awareness, on-ball d, and contest shot sliders as well as coaching tendencies for defensive pressure/help defense.

I'm playing with a hybrid of these and my own. I just had Orlando drop 16 3 pointers on me in a win. Vince had 43 on my Pacers. I'm getting some very nice flow on offense from the CPU and a good "organic" feel on turnovers, etc.

My only issue is the fast breaks...I keep seeing a guy like TJ Ford getting caught from behind on the fast break..which should NEVER happen.

I'll post them later on but overall these are a great set IMO from Playmaker.
