These post-patch sliders look really good. I'll give them a shot this evening.

Re: NBA 2K10 Gameplay Sliders PuntNL

Hey man just played a crazy game against Denver in my Cavs association. I won by a final score of 109-105 and was on the edge of my seat the entire game. It definately felt like a fast paced, west coast style game going back in forth. It was closely contested. Their biggest lead was around 5 and my biggest was 8 early on in the 4th.

I found myself up 3 with 5 seconds left to play. They tried the hack-a-Shaq to extend the game but he made one free throw to make it 109-105.

LeBron was held in check in the 1st quarter. I think he only had 2 points yet I put up 24. Al Harrington lead the way in the 1st with 7 points. He ended up with 15 points and 9 boards. LeBron was a beast and unguardable in the 4th getting 20 points in the 4th and putting the team on his back.

For them, Billups and JR Smith were brutal. There was a stretch in the 3rd where they had Smith as pg matched up against Boobie and he scored like 9 straight points for them. They also hurt me as I had Shaq matched up against Nene in the post and he couldn't keep up with Nene so most of the game I went small ball.

Anyways, it was a great game and here are some stats for you.

          Cleveland / Denver
          Field Goals: 42 / 69 / 41/78
          Field Goal %: 60 / 52
          3 Pointers: 7/14 / 5/13
          Free Throw: 18/25 / 18/24
          Assists: 34 / 30
          Turnovers: 12 / 4
          Total Rebounds: 33 / 33
          PIP: 48 / 58
          Bench Points: 27 / 18
          Fast Break points: 3 / 8

          Cavaliers:
          James: 31 points, 4 reb, 10 assists, 13-21 FG, 5-6 FT
          Harrington: 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 1-2 3PT
          Shaq: 14 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 4-10 FT
          Moon: 12 points, 2 rebounds, 2-2 FT
          West: 11 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 1-4 3pt, 4-4 FT
          Williams: 11 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 3-3 3pt, 2-2 Ft

          Nuggets:
          Smith: 29 points, 2 rebounds, 4 assists, 3-7 3 PT, 6-6 FT
          Billups: 24 points, 3 rebounds 14 assists, ,2-4 3pt, 6-7 FT
          Nene: 18 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists,
          Anthony: 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists
          Graham: 9 points, 4-4 FG

Hope that helps. It was a great game of hoops though let me tell you. Keep up the good work!!

          Jon

Re: NBA 2K10 Gameplay Sliders PuntNL

This was a good game up until the 4th quarter. I couldn't buy a shot. Literally. I was missing everything. I dropped 20% in FG, and not 1 3P was made, though I had been draining them up until that point. It was tied after 3, but the 4th quarter was ridiculous. Completely deflated everything.

Fouls started off uneven, so I increased the fouls to 75 after the 1st quarter. I was also playing on 10 min quarters. For the most part we were pretty equal. They did shoot 87% in the 1st quarter, and I was a bit alarmed, but it wasn't a problem by the end. Right from the start I put high pressure and double in the post on LeBron - not sure if that was the reason, but he was not aggressive at all, preferring to defer to teammates whenever he had the ball.

To be fair, I thought the sliders were really good. I had to work for everything. It's just really unfortunate that the 4th quarter turned out the way it did. I was hoping to go down the wire for the score...instead, they made everything and I made nothing. It was almost as if I had completely forgotten how to play.

I'll be back later when I run through another game. I gotta get some rest for now.

Also, if it makes any difference, I've primarily played PS2 NBA 2k ... next gen I've played a few times at friend's place, but I recently got a PS3 and received 2k10 as a present. It's definitely an adjustment but I can see what all the fuss is about.

Just got a game in with these sliders and got COMPLETELY destroyed by the Thunder playing as the knicks.. I went ice cold...

Here is a screen of the stats:

Based of this and some other experiences I made some tweaks to my set which are bold in the opening post. Version 1.8.. Hope for some of you to also try these and come up with stats and experiences..

Re: NBA 2K10 Gameplay Sliders PuntNL

Ok another small update: Version 1.9 available... All adjustments from version 1.7 are highlighted in the opening post. I decided to go back to minor adjustments and make maximal adjustments of -10 or +10 (in the 40-60 range). Only alley oops will be at 5 / 5 because even post patch there are just wayyy to many... Will test some more these coming days...

PS. Also dropped the quickness concept of playmakers, don't know it its the patch but things didn't look smooth enough to me anymore. Still giving the user a +10 advantage because CPU tends to catch up too easy, especially on fast breaks...

Re: NBA 2K10 Gameplay Sliders PuntNL

I took off in the second quarter of this game. Things started to click I suppose. I've been playing a lot of different sliders and each time I end up losing by a ton....this is the first time I've won. I think it's because I got smarter with my shot selection, instead of just jacking it up each time.

One thing I noticed was that in the second half, I saw a lot of holes in Sacramento's defense. It wasn't that hard, every 3 or 4 trips down the floor, to do a few cross overs on Udrih/Rodriguez and take it to the hole. Carney was especially adept at performing this. I also had a lot of points on the fast break, which was great....good to see the way the 76ers play in real life being reflected in the game.

I'm hesitant to say to change interior defense, because I was playing Sacramento...pretty weak defense to start with. I'm going to play another game, this time against a tougher time, and I'll see how things turn out.

                        Recommendations:
*Possibly more free throws for both teams. Lots of outside shooting from both of us, so I'm not saying right away that it needs to be changed. I'll confirm this in my next game.
*Interior defense already addressed above. Wait and see approach.
*I was playing 11 minute quarters and looking at the stats, I think that was a good idea. I would likely have been approaching 90+ shots had I played 12 min quarters.

Will leave Version 1.9 (all-star) for what it is for now.. Hope to get some more stats in still..

Currently working on some Pro sliders because a lot of people are telling thats the way to go... As a base I used Pared's tweaks and sort of migrated those with my sliders... Will be tweaking them today and tomorrow if my son will let me :-)... Curious what the outcome will be of this... Will post them ASAP..

Okay, so there are definitely issues with the interior defense. I was able to get inside a lot on the Rockets, and they've got a pretty good defense. Often I just dribbled around with Williams, waiting for someone to cut inside, but most of my points came from pushing the ball hard after a rebound and finding the open man cutting to the basket. Iguodala scored almost all his points from inside. Young was a bright spot in that I shot a lot of midrange jumpers with him.

My three point shooting was horrendous in this game, but I shot 6-15 in the last one, so I'm not concerned. They shot pretty bad again, so perhaps there is something there that needs to be altered. Not sure.

I increased "Shooting Fouls" to 75 before the game, and this helped greatly (I had done this before, not sure if it was your sliders). Both teams had 20+ FT attempts, so I definitely recommend that you move the slider to 75.

Other than the interior defense and their foul shooting, I thought it was a great game. The first half was mine, especially the 2nd quarter, where I really dominated and got to the rim easily. Something happened after half time though, and those easy shots I was getting disappeared. They got within 3 at one point with 3 minutes left, but a couple of baskets by Carney and Young put me up for good. Still, I think I had something like 7 turnovers in the 4th quarter alone...I almost lost this one.

Sliders are looking good man. Couple adjustments are needed, so I'll be back later to test, but thus far I'm really happy.

What would you recommend for improving the interior defense problem... I could raise defensive awareness a little and lower or higher the Help D a little? How are you experiencing the Help D?

As for 3 point shots I also went ice cold in a couple of games, maybe going there for 51/48...

As for shooting fouls will probably bump that to 75... Great work with the stats! Thanks man!

As for 3 point shots I also went ice cold in a couple of games, maybe going there for 51/48...

As for shooting fouls will probably bump that to 75... Great work with the stats! Thanks man!
My suggestion to improve interior defense:
For All-Star raise on ball d to 60,blocking to 65 and def awr to 100+help D at 75
For Pro raise on ball d to 70-75,blocking to 65 and def awr to 100+help D at 100
