Re: PuntNL's NBA 2K11 slider tweaks (for use with the Real 2K Insider roster)

    UTA VS. BOS(me)

    76 Points 87
    32/79 Field Goals 35/75
    40% Field% 46%
    6/16 3-Points 7/13
    37% 3-Point% 53%
    18 Assists 22
    8 Turnovers 9
    9 Team Fouls 4
    40 Total Reb. 40
    5 Offen. Reb. 2
    6 Steals 9
    5 Blocks 5
26 Points in the paint 42
    19 Bench points 21
    6 Second chance points 0
    4 Fast break points 6

Now I slightly adjusted the sliders. Help-D to 60, dunk attempts, blocks went back to default. The effect of blocking going back to normal is obvious. In the previous game we had only 3 blocks in the whole game now 10. Made some sweet steals with Rondo and Pierce was on fire from the 3-point line 4/6. Maybe I will tweak the 3-point to 53. The 3rd quarter was a real struggle, wasn't hitting anything, that's the reason for the little lower result. Any further suggestions are welcome. Will back you up with further results soon.

I'm not sure if this was answered already and I'm sorry if it has but can your sliders be used on All Star or just Pro?

Re: PuntNL's NBA 2K11 slider tweaks (for use with the Real 2K Insider roster)

Definitely go for Pro, if its too easy bring in some differentiation in the shooting success sliders in advantage of the cpu.

About the slider set, this is what I want to do: I will still get some games in and than post the set as I have it by than (probably in 4 or 5 hours from now). Normally I would not put them out so early, but I am getting so many mixed results after the patch, that I just wanna throw it out and see results from you guys and hear feedback on what is good and what still needs improvement. So v4.0 probably in a couple of hours from here, but remember it's work-in-progress (like a Beta )! Upon feedback and more and more games I hope it can eventually evolve to a 5th and final version. I hope to get to the final version somewhere in the beginning of december so we can all start to really enjoy this game, but that is if I will get enough feedback.

        Thanks guys!

Re: PuntNL's NBA 2K11 slider tweaks (for use with the Real 2K Insider roster)

Okay guys the opening post is updated with v4.0! So check them out. I got some more consistent results in my last games and am getting quitte happy actually with where it stands right now.

Again not too many sliders touched. Most of the sliders again remain on default 50. Most eye-catching changes are offensive rebounding on 100 (reason obvious) and the look for post players tendency which is on 80. In the simulation gamestyle the same value is used for this tendency. I tested this several games (also because this was noted in the purist slider thread) and was quitte surprised by a better flowing game of the CPU. Please don't ask me why, but as it is also used in the 2K's simulation gamestyle it maybe has a more deeper background somewhere in the programming of the gameplay or something. The higher looking for post tendency doesn't seem to overwrite how the teams should play, I got some satisfying results and PIP are looking great (they were on the low side with this tendency on default and with use of my previous slider set (3.2)). Anyway I noticed the teams to be more active in offense and less static, it just felt right. Just test it out for yourself guys and please leave stats and your feedback.

Here are some stats from my last game which I had with the exact v4.0 slider set, patch 1.2 and the latest Rashidi Real 2K insider roster for PS3. Celtics (cpu) @ Lakers (me).

(From my 25 fouls, 4 of them were late game fouls as it was a close finish)

How can I download those sliders from the game ? I can see PuntNL 1.0 et 2.0 in the list, but no v4.0.

            Thanks for your help

Thanks for the cite, man. But it's not necessary. Your statistics and, therefore, your sliders look great. I hope your having fun again.

If you ever solve my TurnOver issue-- please let me know how! Lol.

                Love the slider set.

Just one thing I noticed. Stamina does not seem to go down. I'm playing in my association game, it's 10 minutes into the 3rd quarter and the lowest energy I see is 86.

Edit: Maybe lowering the stamina and fatigue sliders would help?

Thanks man. Fun is definitely returning. I will keep looking for solutions for the problem areas, however I don't want to touch to many sliders (that just my philosophy). But will keep checking your thread and will post if I come up with some new stuff!

Good to hear that you love them . Thanks for the feedback. Will definitely look into the stamina. Just wasn't a point of my attention yet.

Nope. I only have a PS3. But hey not so much to adjust, so easy to put in by yourself .
If someone with an xbox 360 wants he can put them up there, just let me know than so I can add it in the opening post.

My stats on 10 minute game. Overall a good one...however some notable areas:

                        1) Foul on collisions during a layup. Several times my player went fouling but no foul was called.
                        2) turnovers seemed very high. Lots of interceptions (even by Shaq).
                        3) Point guards seem to be getting a lot of rebounds.
                        4) Faster players do not get a "step" on slower players which seems unrealistic. The animation on D takes over and "jumps" (predicts) your next move.

                        Thanks for the update !

I played an NBA Today game yesterday, Knicks @ Pistons.
That was the first time I used the new sliders with Real 2K rosters.

End result was a 127-120 Knicks win in OT.
Real life result was a 125-116 Knicks win in 2OT.

I'd say those sliders are pretty accurate

Well really liking your stats. Most things just look great.

Fouls are just a problem area, almost impossible to solve. Turnover are a tad high, but usually i see them being on the low side with this set. So that seems to be ok.

Will look into the other stuff, although these things didn't catch my eyes in the games I played.

@frenchdavid any chance you could post some stats of your games (or maybe next time)?

Proudly present my lose against SA. Missed the buzzer beater with Rondo jeeeesh. It was very challenging, was behind for 4+ points most of the game. Tried to make a comeback in the 4th. The shoot sliders are perfect. Maybe to many turnovers. The standard problem already mentioned above. Noticed some bad passes from the computer side, it looked like trowing the ball away, nothing like a pass xD. Also a little to many fouls in the paint for my preference. Otherwise the game runs smooth and it plays well. And the most important thing it is challenging! Back you up with new stats soon.

Thanks raiy0! Stats looking good. Still low on the offensive board, but can't do much about that anymore I am affraid. You played the v4.0 sliders I suppose?

Yeah there are some strange turnovers, but in real life sometimes also some passes are off. average turnover last year were 14-15 a game according to my information, so those are pretty nice.

I worked on some nice small experiment today to test out what the looking for post players and attack the basket tendency do to the game. By watching 3 cpu vs cpu games. Got some interesting stuff with stats coming up, which confirms that v4.0 is on the right track! Coming soon!!
