Also, I did a few games with the roster, and you sliders, and all except me last one (blew out the Magic 105-90) were great! I'll post some stats in a bit. Also, I tried increasing freethrow difficulty to 60, but they're still going in. In that Magic game I mentioned, my Knicks were 24/24, Magic were like 13/24? How can I make the free throws harder for just me? I'm using your sliders as posted on the 1st page, 1st post.

I suppose it should be noted that I used 2-3 against the Magic, because Howard started off killing me. After that, I quickly took the lead as J. Rich started 0-9 from the 3pt line. In the second half, he improved to 2-7. The rest of their team were realistic though, so just sum it up as a bad game?
As for Offensive Boards, hate to say it but you just have to learn to live with the fact that they are flawed and not fixable in a decent way. It can't be fixed bu slider adjustments . If you read back in this thread you will see I tested a lot and think this with OR/DR at 60/40 gives the most satisfying result.

The free throw part I just don't understand, because when you use the Real FT% (which I suppose that you do) the difficulty should not matter, it's al driven by the ratings than. Please check again if you have them at Real FT%.

    Thanks for the feedback man!

I am kind of anal about playing full 12 minute quarters. So, like previous years I left game speed at 50, set player speed at 45(push triangle (top button) on the ps3 to set on the "play game screen"), and 12 minute quarters. This gave me realistic score, fga, fta, rebs, etc. It is of course a small sample size of only one game. Was wondering if you had tested your sliders with lower player speed and 12 minute qtrs or if you had just gone with 11 minute quarters to get stats in line?
11 minutes give the best stats (read: amount of FGA's). 12 just gives me too often a tad too high amount of FGA's and score. Check back my thread for all the testing I did with both game speed and player speed. It starts somewhere from pag 17 I think).

Yup yup, game speed tests on 17, player speed tests on 21. BTW Punt, I'm back to using your sliders lol. I know you tested them to death, so I won't ask you to, but currently I'm trying out a 91/50 Offensive/Defensive rebound ratio. Also I did move quickness to 45 (personal preference becausse of the pacing), and I'm not noticing too much more bumping, so all is well, and I think I find you set best! KUDOS to you sir , I know its been a lol.

Hey punt whats up man I just finished a season won the finals with the Magic and it was probably the best season I ever played in a video game. Awesome sliders I won it all so of course their great lol! Seriously tho I would not say it was easy as I lost my fair share during the season and lost 5 or 6 during the playoffs but I want to give the CPU a little more advantage next season. I noticed their shooting percentages a little low from 3 and mid. If I bump mid to 53 and 3 point for them to 54 will they be nailing everything? Im already using your purple brackets I just want a little more challenge withought them lighting me up every game. Thanks in advance for your opinion.

I am using these sliders and they feel good but I am really bad at this game. I don't really know where to begin making some of these sliders easier for my level of play. I tried the shot stick for shooting but realized that I suck at that also so I went to player fg% and I got worse lol. Then every time I drive into the paint I get fouled. That isn't a bad thing but I can't hit a free throw either hahaha. Should I lower a contact slider? If so which one and by how much? I don't really understand the sliders at all. The reason for my questions is I don't want to start to adjust the sliders and throw everything out of wack because I don't mind losing I just don't want to be down by 20 or 30 in the 4th quarter. I know that practice helps but I was wondering If there are minor slider adjustments that I can make to help me learn now then I can adjust as I get better. Thanks.

Almost forgot, does the insider rosters include the tendency adjustments for the players?

Question, how can I get more blocks for the cpu? Would I raise contested shots, defensive awareness, what? I ask because I typically get 6 blocks per game, and the cpu gets like 1.

                  Raise the blocking attribute.

Next question: How can I reduce the number of shooting fouls that send me to the line? Do I lower the frequency under fouls for user settings shooting foul frequency, or cpu shooting foul frequency?

I think those adjustments for both midrange and 3pt you propose could be good. You could also try going with 58/68 on-ball defense as an extra challenge. Good luck!

Give yourself a slight advantage in shooting success. You could try the purple adjustments I have in the opening post the other way round. So that user has a +1 advantage in the shooting succes and a +5 advantage in the on ball defense.

Lower the cpu shooting foul frequency. Lower that by maybe 3 or 4 clicks. Good luck. And for blocking as was said in a previous post just higher the cpu blocking attribute slider!

                      Happy New Year all!

I know all slider sets are different and I don't want to start a 'whose is better' argument, but I did noticed Punt that you had posted on Greenie's thread and you had swapped ideas.

I have been using his post patch and enjoying them lots but I feel it's too easy to make a comeback or stay ahead.......I'm just wondering how challenging are yours and how do they compare (so to speak) to Greenies? You and Greenie seem to have the most popular sliders so much respect

We share the same goals and have some overlap. However mine are surrounded around a dedicated roster (which adjusts a lot) and his are based on the original 2K ones which gives more slider adjustments to be made. So in short. You just have to try them and see.

Default - 50.. From page 17 in this thread I did some speed tests!
