PM... You can manually plug in the sliders on page 1. Unfortunately you cannot share sliders cross platform, so you'll just have to take a couple minutes and input the numbers.

Sadly, you cannot get the rosters. The PS3 guys didn't do many 2K11 classic rosters at all, so unfortunately you cannot get the Classic Rosters for the PS3.

As an aside, I picked up Madden 12. I've input your sliders and had a fun game first game. Unfortunately I'm banned from the Madden forums, so I'll need to see if they'll let me back in (and I promise to behave).

I hate that type of gameplay gimmick....it shouldn't matter what level i play on Dirk should still knock down open Mid Range jumpers at a high level

I don't have a problem with some of my other players bricking shots on the highest level but when it's Dirk and the shooting sliders haven't changed at all then I know something under the hood ain't right
I think someone may have uploaded these sliders to 2K Share for the PS3, but that was several months ago. Still, worth a look. If you can't find them, send me a PM and I'll give you the AS version of this set.

          disregard my last post Mike....

someone actually uploaded your sliders on PS3 but i didn't see the rosters for Old school duplicated so i've been playing with the regular rosters so far

I'm beating the Bobcats in my opening game 62-53 late in the 3rd qtr....everything has been pretty good stat wise

Dirk feels like Dirk he's 7/12 from the FG

Looks like no NBA season so i just went back to NBA 2K11 to try and get my money worth's out last years game....was hoping to use the old school Mavs team you created so that's a bummer.

I'm too lazy to do any other rosters myself right now but it appears with the NBA season on the verge of being cancelled those old school rosters would have been the best way to go for me.

Check out the Hardwood Classics thread in the roster sub-forum. I know there are several rosters for the PS3 out there. It's nowhere near the depth of the 360 rosters, but at least there are some available.

                mk,
Do you have an updated "real life" roster with this years rookies in it for 2k11?
I know you have a bunch of classic rosters i just didnt know if you had "this years" rosters for 2k11 or knew of one out there available.

I'm using one that was posted on 2K Share around August 1st. It was done by someone here who did a GREAT job on it.

What I find funny is that, since there's no season this year (and there won't be), how these guys know how to rate everyone... it's a crapshoot... I can upload here with a .ROS or if you have 2K Share I can tell you which one it is. There are many of them, and you might want to look them over yourself. honestly, i have it and have reviewed it, but i hate today's NBA so I never play it (but my son does).

It's the roster file by NBA Bound (and some numbers I can't remember).

Look it up under highest rated or most downloaded. It's around 11,800 downloads. He has a TON of free agents and a lot of hex edited players, and his rookies are the best looking out there.

The other problem began when I tweaked the quickness and vertical sliders a couple weeks ago, but those just didn't look realistic.

So the sensitive slider is the steal slider - you might wonder how in the world this affects shooting percentages... Well, sometimes blocks are actually statistically labeled as steals in this game. also, the "on ball defense" slider has a LOT to do with spacing. if you can create more spacing you can then get cleaner shots off, and hence a better percentage.

so everything on page 1 - post 1 is updated (monday, nov. 14th at 7:00 pm). I played a 1989-1990 game tonight (knicks at celtics) and I won with boston 96-89. the percentages were spot on for a game like this. the game was tied with 2:15 left. mchale and parish hit back-to-back low post shots. bird hit a 3 and another jumper and I held them to a lone 3-pointer at the buzzer during that stretch with some outstanding defense.
Awesome story MK. I'm still sticking with your sliders for 2K12 with a little tweak here and there. I haven't played lately (been watching 1990-91 season games after work at night ) but maybe tonight I'll get some 2K time.
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

I played two games with the setup on page 1 last night...

                          Using my 87-88 rosters...

                          - game 1: warriors (cpu) at celtics. I lost 110-103. I trailed by 19 in the 3rd as Chris Mullin went crazy on me. I cut it down to 6 with 2 minutes to play, but Mullin hit back-to-back 3 ptrs to seal it. Bird had 34 pts, 11 rebs, and 6 assts but couldn't get it done.

                          - game 2: celtics (me) at kings. I won 114-87. Bird had 26 points, but in a unique turn of events, Danny Ainge got in early foul trouble so Jim Paxson came in off the bench and I got 26 points out of him as well (in the previous game I noted he was 2-10 shooting). I trailed by 13 in the first quarter, but then was able to take a 10 point halftime lead. They cut it to 6 but then we ran them out of the building to win by 27. Reggie Theus, Kenny Smith (rough shooting night) and Otis Thorpe were all the Kings had.

The variances of these sliders are amazing. I'm fairly sure these are a "final" set as I don't see any more necessary tweaking. I wanted to know I could lose with these sliders, and I most definitely can. The percentages and other stats are incredibly simulation-like. I hope those still playing 2K11 will give these a shot because you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Reggie Theus one of the forgotten great scorer's from years ago

Kevin Martin reminds me alot of Theus if i had to compaire him to someone in today's game

I think Theus had the juice in his hair at one time right?

                              That's a good comparison, PM.

Yes, I do believe Theus had "the juice" in his hair in the 80's.

Yeah, he kinda looked like Lionel Richie with a basketball...

but a good scorer, well rounded player. remember when he got traded to the hawks and played next to an aging moses malone who had little left in the tanks.
