Am I doing something wrong? First game I tried with these sliders I had 8 turnovers in the first 5 minutes, and most of them were just simple passes going out of bounds and things like that.

Put the sliders in last night. Tried to play a game today and thought they played strange. Come to realize the gameplay saved, but the other slider tweaks did not. Talk about auto-save fail. After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: ***TOMBA NBA2K12 SLIDER SETTINGS***
1st off, im a 2k gamer since the dreamcast era and i like to consider myself a as well experienced player.
now i never completly made my own sliders but i always keep looking for good, fun and most important realistic ones.
since last year i stumbled across this site. yours are the first ones im trying out for 2k12 and the 1st couple of minutes they felt alright but then after that they felt very arcadish.
i played the pippen greatest game for 1 half with 12 minutes length an without adjusting def assistance i had 29 steals by halftime. the problem is on ball steals are way too unrealistic. 75% of the time i press the steal button with the cpu pg dribbling waiting for a play to happen i successfully get a steal. kerr had 10 stl in 11 minutes and harper had 11. i had 48 pts off tos and led at half 86:43. and im no arcade type of players who presses steal 10 per defensive possession. i just went for it when the pg was carelessly dribbling, which now happens on pretty much every 2nd possession.
then also fg% is way too high i believe. both were shooting over 60% at half. and one more thing i didnt like was that the cpu attacks the hoop rarely. 4 ft attempts is not i good stat i believe.
still i see some potential if you improve those points.
which sliders can you guys still recommend for realistic 12 minute/quarter games?Comment

Re: ***TOMBA NBA2K12 SLIDER SETTINGS***
They were FIRST built off the official roster to play with.
Ive been trying to put together a final version of these for awhile now.
Trying address som eof the concerns regarding turnovers etc. But the problem with tweaking alot of the sim like issues also ruins alot of thr realistic freedom you get from ball movement. these sliders make you play careful yet carefree. theres a type of freedom with that. But if you exploit it you will get weird things that happen because your maybe unnaturally playing it.
I cant fault the user of the sliders but i can guide them.
These sliders have a desired effect for me and once i get that desired effect its hard to get it still by changing any of the specific aspect everyone might hav because it will ruin major pieces of the slider edit.
But i get it...turnovers. They have to be fixed just how i do that without ruinung the flow of this set is till being worked onBrand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

Re: ***TOMBA NBA2K12 SLIDER SETTINGS***
I'm still digging these sliders for the sole reason they're the only ones where my guys don't slip/slide all over the place after subtle movements. Drives me bonkers. I confess to staying with Live until recently for better game feel.
Some areas of potential improvement:
1. Turnovers - addressed, obviously. I literally just stole the ball 15 times from Terry Porter in a Legends Game w/ 4 min quarters. Also, an uncanny knack to throw the ball away.
2. Seems that field goal % is too high. Although, I like the feel of being able to spot an open driving lane...and seize it. Again, no other slider set allows me to do this.
That's about all the critiques from this end. Again, really dig thse, Tomba. Thanks again for your hard work!Comment

Re: ***TOMBA NBA2K12 SLIDER SETTINGS***
I'm using one of the edited rosters (bedwards/isalsa) off the forum here (versus default). Should I be working off defaults w/ Tomba (to compensate for my noted concerns)? Apologies - hard to connect which sliders are tethered to respected rosters.
Thanks.Comment

Re: ***TOMBA NBA2K12 SLIDER SETTINGS***
The final set I am working on now will finally address all concerns everyone's been having with turnovers in regards to passing etc.
As for your questions regarding default or user made roster ets.
I made these sliders for 2k default mode.
I tweaked the seond set for default AND The Sim Roster Project.
The third and final is to be played with The 3rd Update to The sim Roster Project that me and VTCRB have had our editing done towards. sadly though it is only for 360.
there MIGHT BE a PS3 version IF 2k can add in all the rookies we have riht now flawlessly implemented wih no black arms in our 360 3rd Update rosterBrand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

Ill put it like this.If don't have fun with the final set you'll never have fun with the game at all.
Will it be extremey different than the previous sets? yes and no will turnovers be tuned finally? Yes.

Re: ***TOMBA NBA2K12 SLIDER SETTINGS***
Can someone answer this for me? why do you use Real Player % shooting? And also do you just press the shoot button for it to work or do you have to hold it for their release at all?Comment

Re: ***TOMBA NBA2K12 SLIDER SETTINGS***
just played one quarter with these sliders on all star....im pacers vs grizz. im up 31-10. collison has 8 steals. you read that right. 8. and i have 12 as a team in one quarter. i make almost every shot....what is wrong with this? everyone else has had close competitive games, why is mine so different? its literally the easiest sliders ever. What is wrong?Comment
