So I started out my association earlier using your sliders. 82 - game season with the Clippers. I only play 1 game per week. I used the 2k sports official roster updated as of Nov. 1, 2012.

Anyway, I dominated my first 2 games.

    * First against the Grizzlies (113 - 89). I shot 59% from the field, got 18 steals (mostly on-ball steals, 7 from Chris Paul and my biggest lead is 35).

    * Second game against the Blazers (103 - 87). I shot 55% from the field, 15 steals, biggest lead is 23.

I get too many on-ball steals so I decided to edit some values:

Lowered the User Steal attribute from 55 to 50. And adjusted the CPU's ball handling from 30 to 45.

On my third game against the Heat, I tried out your sliders for the non-association one (with the game speed back to 50, etc. and with my adjusted sliders). This time it was a close game. I won by 1 point with a buzzer beating 3 by Jamaal Crawford (111-110). I shot 51% from the field, 10 steals and my biggest lead is 13.

I also noticed too many injuries, I'm on my third week now and the entire league has 19 players injured but not severe, mostly 2-4 weeks out. Does the durability attribute also affects sim injuries?

All in all, great sliders. I guess I'll just tweak some to satisfy my preference.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the set!

As for injuries: No, durability does not effect simulated injuries. The Injury Frequency slider is strange this year, it yields far too many sim-injuries, but never produces any in-game injuries.

I think I might just give up on this aspect of the game, as it seems only a patch can fix it.

I read your blog and it looks like you were working on each and every concerns I had for this game!

Too bad I can't play any games today but will find sometime tomorrow to check out your sliders + coaching slider adjustments. I will play against couple of teams and will post my impressions tomorrow. Thanks.

        Glad I could help!

I'm still looking for ways to improve these sliders, so the more impressions I get the easier my job is

Hey Eccentric, I really like how your set is playing for offline association. I have a couple questions about CPU vs. CPU in an offline association... Would speed and quickness still be changed to 45, and what game speed/player speed would you run with? Thanks again for the sliders, the coaching sliders really do help how the game plays!

So far I like what i see Eccentric. Your CPU v CPU set is nice! I thank u for sharing. Did u also have a set for 2k11? I still play that version as well.

I would keep the speed, quickness, game speed, and player speed at the same values as User vs. CPU for Offline Association.

At 45 Speed/Quickness, the CPU goes at the same speed as the User does with a setting of 50. So in a CPU vs. CPU game, the values stay the same so that the animations and flow of the game remains the same as a User vs. CPU game.

              Glad you're enjoying the set!

              No problem!

And sorry, but this is my first year of doing my own official slider set, so I did not have a set for 2k11.

One change I made for CPU v CPU is driving contact frequency is lowered to 91 and inside contact 98. It helps to smooth out some of the collision detection

Ok, so how do I set the CPU teams Fast break ratings and Run play to 0 on Association Mode? I can only change my user teams Coach profile options but it won't allow me to adjust the CPU Coach Profile settings...anyway around this?

Had a game using all star sim with cpu not missing a shot and im missing almost all that made me realized i need to find a slider set to fix the cpu cheats i lost by 30 for the first time with gs but managed to win games with lakers and okc. So i guess it is not entirely due to my playing skills hehe

Ill try this out then. I have two questions: first i would like to only play 8min qtrs for me to have more games to play, can i still use your sliders with 8min? What do i need to tweak for me still to have a nice scoring game with a lower time?

As i already started an assoc, would it be still enjoyable using sliders if i wont update the run plays=0?

                      Thanks in advance!

You will have to Resign from your current team, sign with another, edit their Coach Profile, and repeat until you edit every team.

I would not recommend using my sliders if you don't have Run Plays set to 0. The game will still play alright, but you won't get the same results others are getting.

As for your 8 Min Quarters question, I say you should be just fine. Perhaps increase Player Speed to 45 instead of 35 (in the Association Pre-Game Options menu; press Y/Triangle at the team/jersey select screen).

Let me know how it goes!

20 games in still getting great results, but seeing alot of injuries on other teams, but not my team(weird)not complaining lol. Dwight howard is put for 6 weeks with broken arm, suns have so many injured players that they had to pick up a PF from free agency. I lowered frequency but still seeing alot of injuries. I'm on PC and used 2K offical roster dated Nov 1. Completed one game with your slider + coaching slider today. I was playing 2nd game against 76ers but only up to first quarter... Once I complete the full game, I will post the result against 76ers.

                            Ratoprs (Me) vs Bulls (CPU)
                            90 FINAL SCORE 92

                            31/69 (44%) FG 39/86 (45%)
                            8/20 (40%) 3-Pointers 2/5 (40%)
                            20/24 (83%) FT 12/13 (92%)
                            8 Fast Break 12
34 Points in the Paint 46
                            20 Assists 23
                            6 Offensive Reb 10
                            38 Defensive Reb 28
                            1 Steals 14
                            2 Blocks 5
                            17 Turnovers 6
                            8 Team Fouls 14

This was my first game using this slider set so there are few things I have to learn. This slider makes CPU much smarter on defensive end than what I'm used to. I got ball stolen 14 times and this is mostly due to my bad pass attempt. I'm used to posting up and backing down slowly then wait for my team mate to move underneath the basket for easy score. It was very refreshing to see that my cheese moves won't work against CPU any longer. Also I gotta learn to be way more aggressive when stealing and blocking. As you can see, I have very low number in steal, block and team foul. Definitely more room to be aggressive.

CPU's 3-point attempt number was very low in this game. I'm not too worried about this because I saw at least 6 3-point attempt by CPU during 1st quarter in my unfinished game against 76ers.

Here is what I like the most. The CPU's box score for starting line up...

                            D.Rose :29 points (13/22), 3 rebound, 6 assist
                            L.Deng: 15 points (7/13), 4 rebound, 1 assist
                            R.Hamilton: 12 points (4/14), 5 rebound, 2 assist
                            C.Boozer: 10 points (4/8), 6 rebound, 1 assist
                            J.Noah: 8 points (4/11), 9 rebound, 2 assist

I can agree with all shot selection by CPU in this game. Especially, D Rose was really great to watch.

Oh and I almost forgot, for the first time ever, I saw a player getting injured during game in 2K13. Too bad it was DeRozan, not a bulls player. :P

Hi Eccentric. So I've been continuing watching CPU v CPU with your slider set. I made a couple of personal preference changes

                              vertical 47
                              On ball d 40
                              Ball handle 43
                              Mid range shot attempts 75

In total I find that these tweaks help out the spacing even more in this game ( which IMO was somewhat of a problem before). The lowering of vertical was done for better rebounding visuals.

In addition as stated in my previous post driving contact is now at 90 and inside contact is still 98.

Your slider set is definitely holistic and you've done a good job. I've been doing sliders for years and this is one of the better ones I've seen.

Nice results! I'm glad you're enjoying the set.

That's some pretty high praise! Thanks

I'll give your edits a look when I get some time to play the game again. Glad to hear you're enjoying the set!
