CPU vs CPU only PG the 1 who do the shooting, getting harder to dribble inside the paint, always shoot at last min clock like trying to beat the clock. less lay up, dunk & alley oops.
Official Roster based still, the previous person was using BED roster and I was helping him out, that is all.

I did up the defense overall in v1.2, I did this as I was seeing way, way too many games in the 110-120s. While this does happen in real life, it is not the norm and so I want to give both the offense and the defense the abilities to make plays. If your lazy on defense, a CPU PG will eat you up. Clog the paint, don't let them get inside. You can also eat up the CPU as well, through plays, PnRs, etc. Don't settle for long jumpers, get into the paint.

In order to go back to v1.1.5, all you would need to do is lower HUM/CPU DAWR to 50 (-2) and OnBall D to 50 (-2).

    For the Tendencies, v1.1.5 was;

Re: JW55 Hall of Fame OA Slider Set V1

Just played Game 1 of an OFFLINE Association w/ Jwill's sliders (the latest set exactly as posted). Here's how it went down....

      Stat - SAC (cpu)…………MIN (human)
      FG - 42/86 - 48%………41/86 - 47%
      3PT - 6/19 - 31%………..9/25 - 36%
      FT - 19/23 - 82%………..24/28 - 85%
      PIP - 56 …………..……..52
      Fouls - 21……………..…19

      SAC - 109
      MIN - 115

Overall the game felt good. I was down all game but really had to up the tempo in the 4th to come back. The game was definitely on the high scoring side, but this wasn’t exactly a matchup of two top tier defenses here.

I played a little faster than I usually do to keep pace because my D was not locking down the paint at all in the first half (SAC shot 54% in the 1st half). This was due to the defensive pressure setting in the coach profile being too high and SENSELESS gambling by my guys leading to layups. I also gave up too much dribble penetration because i was not willing enough to provide help to the on ball defender. in the NBA, a 1-on-1 situation is just asking for a bucket. You have to bring help or at least SHOW help to deter the drive. Once I made some adjustments, my defensive game was much better.

I really enjoyed the experience on defense, it was a challenge trying to contain tyreke evans attacking the basket, if I left barea on an island with him - he got eaten up, but when I switched kirilenko on to him and looked to help off one of the shooters and manually attempt to rotate, I faired much better. I really liked the life-like coaching decision of “picking your poison” that this gave me.

Rebounding was a real concern coming in b/c it has been historically difficult to rebound with k-love in 2k games due to his lack of hops, but these sliders allowed him to get the rebound each time I boxed out (unless of course one of my teammates skied over me - part of realism i guess haha). I gave up a couple down there but it was because I was late to icon switch to him and box out due to def rotation, quick shot, etc.

All in all, I really enjoyed the flow of the game. I have no real places where I would need to adjust anything just yet.

Thank you for your work. A job very well done.

        @JW55 thanks bro!
eg: so is HUM/CPU or CPU/HUM?

50 is for HUMAN & 38 for CPU or the other way round?

        Take Inside Shots: 50/38
        Take Close Shots: 50/42
        Take Mid-Range Shots: 50/58

@Jatt, with avg defensive teams, its tough, but it should be, your gonna have to outscore most teams with the Twolves. I usually ball as the Suns so I feel you 10000% on this, you have to uptempo everyone in order to stay competitive.

This is where FA's/trades (being a GM) comes in, bringing in a key defensive player really helps. With this set, I feel that no longer can someone dominate with an avg player (either off/defensively) unless you have mad stick skills. Which is what I like.

Glad you make coaching changes, too many on this forum don't and just complain instead. This game is deep and with the right sliders/rosters its incredible.

Keep me updated bro. Oh and one question, was this with Attack at 50 or 60 for the CPU? And DAWR was at 52/42 or 54/44? With dawr at 54/44 I felt like I was seeing too many plays from players who shouldn't have been.

Nope, not a big fan of absolutes though (which I am sure 0 on 2k still isn't absolute, but just in case).

On All-Star, a setting of 0 for Injury Severity still yields some season-ending and long-term injuries. Although there is probably no noticeable difference between 1 and 0, so it doesn't really make a difference.

And yea, with 2k NONE of the sliders are absolutes

Good looking out, 1, 0 agreed probably won't make a difference.

As for the absolutes, probably this way as to not break any part of the engine. (built in safety net)

Thanks for the sliders, appreaciate the effort and sharing.

I took these as a base to my OA and adjusted a bit and now i get a pretty good feel.

The important thing with sliders to my liking is to balance the overall gameplay and never to erase the user controller factor, the one with the good bball knowledge should be able to execute on both offense/defense. What i mean is when you're adjusting you need to understand that you don't give any extra out of user control and mind...

Interested in what changes you made, I have checked your league out several times, Turkish bball! I almost went out to Turkey when the US National team was playing there (side topic). Also could you explain further on your POV.

                          Attack @ 50. DAWR @ 53/42.

So I also have an assoc with the Spurs (which I also just started - i was waiting for rosters/playbooks to get going). The Spurs games have been tougher to play than the Wolves.

I lost to NOH by 4 in a game I should've won, but Eric Gordon was unreal like 15 for 18 I think. On off ball screens, I mixed it up between manually foot-stepping screens trying to stay on his outside hip or shooting the gap over the screen - each with varying success. But he was just lights out on the catch or he would go the cup and finish over late arriving help.

I had a similar problem with the Thunder (where i got waxed by 30+). Their wings were REALLY tough to stop. I was able to control Durant because I really focused on him. But Kevin Martin and surprisingly Jeremy Lamb were super aggressive. Not only shooting quick and draining in transition but in the half-court just going to the cup and not stopping even when they were cut off multiple times...eventually the D gave a little room and they hit me w/ the pump fake and up and unders in the paint.

I do realize that I can be better helping on them or keeping them out of the middle in the first place. But some of these guards are just super aggressive, while others play exactly as they should (westbrook, tyreke evans, durant).

Seems like an individual player tendency issue, but just wanted to let you know what im seeing.

CPU defense is fine. Yes the aggressive teams like OKC are hard to score against, which is the way it should be. Its all about spacing and passing away from the defense on ball reversal while running you offense. But it would be easier to score against them if I wasn't taking the ball out of my basket all game.

Your sliders have made the game very enjoyable to play but after playing a few more games and some quality opponents - the CPU offense still gives me a little bit of a cheesy feel at moments.

I'll keep playing and let you know what I'm seeing. All is generally well in the world of 2k tho.

Thanks for the feedback, I'm seeing similar things, been trying to narrow down these CPU tendency sliders. A custom roster completely edited would be ideal but I ain't got the time for that. I'll dig into some of these rosters sometime and bury out a Assoc set.

Yeah sometimes the CPU forces inside, could always slightly lower inside tends.

I've found that having the shot tend sliders above 60 really get some shots out, meaning that if they are open they are looking. I like it, keeps you playing defense, just earlier I was playing Thunder (me) vs Kings, I won 113-98, but Aaron Brooks, my lord, 9-12 5-6(3pts), was clutch city. He hit some gangster *** shots, pull up transition 3, shot clock buzzer, half court shot. Just balling, Reke got locked, Cousins played okay. Overall it was tight in the 1st half, 2nd we pulled away. Their bigs killed the glass, expected that, I'll get some stats tomorrow.

With that side story, if you want less 'jacking' lower the tends down a few clicks.

On players that get hot, gotta double every time, timeouts, let someone else score. But yes, when the CPU gets going, they GET GOING. Its gonna happen, 2k programmed it this way, you can't get rid of these things happening, I don't mind it as players can go off in the NBA on any night, so I just roll with it.

I pretty much just took your offense/defense sliders. I did put cpu 3 @ 48.

I also lower cpu pass accuracy. I dont want all my turnovers from cpu to be steals. Need some bad passes in there too.

Good set tho, man. I just already had a good set up for tendencies or else ida used those as well. And attributes are all default sim except i used uour rebounds.

first time using your sliders and it didn't go to well i mean it played like a real game so i loved that part but i still had way too many points the score was

                                Bulls 131 76ers 96

i play with the Bulls 12min quarters on HOF with your sliders and 2k official roster

wondering if you can tell me what to do to get the scoring down and make the cpu defense more diffcult

Bulls had 131 pts way too much 54/96 (56%)FG percentage is good but too many points. 52rbs which is ok 8stls good 0blks need to change that and 17 team fouls guess thats ok , we also had 27 fta made 22 and 1/5 from 3pt

                                76ers had 96pts 40/93 (43%) realistic i think they were 2/15 from the 3pt line and shot 20fta made 14 they had 40rbs 8stls and 5blks and 21 fouls

so if there is anyway to adjust the sliders so we can have better defense and more of a realistic score please me know other than that the game played really well
