Do you guys find it odd that the majority of the time it's better to lose in the first round of the playoffs and in quick game/rivals it's better NOT to play your strongest 5?

Not really, I've won most of the seasons I've played and I need my best players for that.

In quick games also I'm needing at least 3 of my best players to get wins.

But I see your point here, you need a good amount of cash to get you started or a inhumane amount of time.

Ok so what do you guys do if you see early on 2 guys you know u cant beat in the playoffs? U just go for the tank or u go as far as u can. This is obviously for the guys who actually lose seasons lol. Because i just ran into yet another beasty guy in my season 25 games in. So i shouldnt even waste my time trynna win games or whatever right? Just let the season play out?

I won my last season even though 3 other teams had better overall stats. But we were close. I try to position my seeding so that I have to play as few of them as possible. This time it worked. But I've also lost 4 straight series in the finals before this one.

Improved matchmaking my ***, just played 13 games and just saw a guy with 1500+ advantage in each category, and looks like he might be a bot on top of it. Ive about had it with this game

Didn't someone say the devs reverted back to the old matchmaking system for seasons?

If Thats the case then I really am done other than rivals, I'm tired of not standing a chance in season

I do find the season matchmaking to be odd. Most seasons there's 3-4 teams that completely dominate and unless they don't rotate/energize their players you have no chance to win.

Not being able to play my favorite cards in QC/Rivals is also very odd. I play with a lineup of five Rare(pro) cards, because if I put in one of my epic(pro) or legendary cards the other team will have 2 or 3 high-end cards. If I play my best lineup (3 epic-pro, 2 legendary) I'll face off against an entire team of legendary(pro) cards.

Kind of ridiculous. But so is this game, truthfully. They do a good job baiting people in to spending money, but in the end this app will be deleted when the next version of 2k comes out so there's really no point.

I know the feeling. My season ended yesterday, finished 81-1. Swept round one and two then got beat in the finals 4-2 by a team with -500 average on all stats. Still not won a season and not looking likely so what's the point?

Yeah I hear you I usually finish first or second cuz the guts with better lineups coast thru season not really trying until playoffs and can win easy there

When twista was asking others to join a forum-made season after the last rivals, he said they reverted back. I'm assuming it's because players with high end decks were matching up against all cpu controlled teams.

It's alright though. When I start a new season I'll keep an eye on it for the first few games until I come across a 20 000pt deck, then I'll just pay the least amount attention to make the first round and tank it. That's the price of being a casual player. 14 000 games, three rivals, still only a single season won with OJ Mayo as the reward (yipeee!)

It's alright though. When I start a new season I'll keep an eye on it for the first few games until I come across a 20 000pt deck, then I'll just pay the least amount attention to make the first round and tank it. That pretty much makes two of us, I do the exact same now, I used to try but now Im just gonna tank. Lucky enough to win my first two season, got squat since. 13000 games in

Someone had asked If they were going to lower the price on epic packs, and he said something along the line of they're happy with the pricing if epic packs at this time, and there won't be a change. Of course they're happy when you got people paying 100 upon 1000 of dollars for epic cards because they want a legendary. And I won't even touch how much they probably make during rivals for hot streaks

Yea I agree. I only play enough rivals now to get in to the top 1250 for the epic(pro) + support card. That takes me about 12-15hrs. I know to push in to the top 500 or better would require far more time than it's worth.

I wasn't winning seasons when i was 13k games in. I'm pretty sure nobody, who hasn't spent 300-400$ is winning seasons with that record. Should they change the drop rate and the reward system? Yes. Should you expect to compete consistently at this stage? Probably not.

I dont Expect to win them All, but to be placed in a season with 4-5 guys that out stat me by 1000 plus who obviously have a better lineup (and probably dont need an epic as badly as me) isn't gonna help me get to the next stage now is it? What I expect is a fair season mode.

They tried doing that, and failed. So...it is what it is. Spend money or grind out thousands-tens of thousands of games to get a deck that still won't compete in a season unless you draw real lucky

I think I've played in about 18 seasons, I've won 11 or 12. My record is 18k/2k. I've never spent any money. I've only ever tanked 1 season, which was more than half bots. So it is possible but not easy.
