I have said this many times, position is not a huge factor when it comes to selecting event cards. There are just WAY too many other factors that are much more important (e.g. available pics, players that fit the rarity, numbers of cards of said players, licenses on players, etc.). For the Christmas cards the major limiting factor was pictures. These cards all have players in their Christmas Day jerseys which limited our selection of players. For the legendary cards it was further limited by having true Legendary players in that rarity. I'm trying to make sure we don't "Swaggy P" it this year.


I get that people want to min/max and position is a part of that, but sometimes that just doesn't line up. Sometimes people want positions that you don't need too, so don't take your experience as what everyone else's experience is. Step back and look at the fact that there are a lot of cool Legendary cards being offered in the same event.

NWGamedad! First and foremost, I wish you and the Cat Daddy family the merriest of holidays. I've been let down by some previous big-hyped announcements/special events/etc., and I wanted to reach out and give you my personal take on this week's event...

It delivers, brother. The three highest "regular" Legendary Cards... A sick RttC Curry... and with the properly assembled squad, an easy shot at 2 hours of potentially drafting Star Contracts. The new team event features are legit, and even without the addition of a new tier, the game is staying fresh. The fact that games play a little quicker than last year is also nice. Now for a few other things...

I saw you mention on Twitter the other day that it would be unusual for the new "Captcha" picture scheme to pop up for anything other than a human. However, there is simply no way this is correct. I personally have seen it at least 20 times, and I play on a freggin iPhone and I've never even thought of cheating. That... and the "And One" team perk is placed a little low event team perk ladder for my liking, ergo only yielding an hour's worth of plus one.

And while I definitely appreciate you reaching back out to me in regards to the "Hard Charging" super perk my squad was awarded after winning 15,000 games, I'm sure you could also understand our disappointment, as there is very little "super" about that particular "perk".

Minor gripes aside, keeping kicking (redacted) over there. Wasn't expecting this year to build so much on the previous two, but the MyNBA2K series has really come along way. Thanks for grinding-good time, and for building such a great community of players.

Just a note on this, there is a way to start a season with untrained cards that plays the numbers (I'm guilty of it myself) and has been part of the game since induction. Seems like CD has tweaked the algorithm a bit (and removed bench from seasons to get rid of a common bench), but it doesn't catch everything. People will always find a loophole that works in their advantage.

To stay sane by using a real-life scenario, just think of it as if someone just drafted a blue-chip rookie or signed a top-tier free agent and that said player needs to "level up" on new team.

I feel you but it takes no sport from this. It's obviously their goal to have people invest time/money into this game. I invested time and then eventually a little money but neither seems to be rewarded. Do you like starting a season after putting in the work to improve your squad only to find out that your always gonna get matched against someone who spent 2 less months playing the game/spent $500 on a mobile app deny you from even getting past the first round?

Lol tell me about the matchmaking I'm in a season with a guy who has 9 RS cards(7 of them pro) and you guessed it I have none so I literally just gave up on the season as soon as it started

Its obvious (and I hope they don't wait until the supposed star tier comes out) that they need to make a new bar for RS just like 2k15 had a bar for star and playoff tier. The disadvantage is too unreal. It's basically a 65/45 chance when you start a season that your gonna waist 3 1/2 days off your game

My new goal today? Place top 25000 in Rivals Clash lol. I'll either have to spend 500 on a reroll, or wait 11 days for the shot to earn 3000 RP. I appreciate some of these new goals, but this one in particular seems like its just an easy way to get me to spend 500 RP.

Hey danan nice stuff... Seems like some forget that duncan,kyrie and paul or bonus cards. And that 4 spec curry... If no star tier till next rttc there will again a reg leg and rttc leg.

One big question needs to answered:

Di we need new wild cards for new tier? Star wild cards to pro star cards? That would be really bad... Many ppl are saving their wc for next tier and they could be useless...

2996/14 = 214 games w/ HS.

Can someone good at maths see if it is possible to do this without buying GNs?

Should be 81hrs of game time. So, 81x4=324. Add 5 gns which you have at the start. So 329 gns.

So you can take away 3 nights x 8 hours x 4 GN = 96 GN for sleep... 329 - 96 = 233 free GN remaining...

So yes, you can finish without buying any GN on +7 with HS the whole time... don't lose too many GN for eating, hygiene, family, work, general life, etc.!

Thanks man. Assuming 24 hours of sleep in 81 hours of playtime (3 x 8 hour nights) that brings it down to 233 GNs.

So you can sleep a little, and still get Curry, assuming you HS all the way (I think?).

81 hours * 4 = 324 + 5 starting = 329 free game nights
