The RTTC vs. RC structure is incredibly unbalanced as well.
Lets take a look at it...

RTTC:
-For 48k RP of hotstreaks, you can comfortably complete the final card with 8 hours of sleep a night and a decent amount of inactivity. No need to buy game nights unless you are extremely caught up in work/family for an extended period, or you have a weak lineup

-You get at least one guaranteed legend card, and the RTTC reward card is much stronger than the RC foil. Even better the past two have had multiple foil cards and even triple/quadruple spec'd but that certainly won't stay for the next tier

-No need to worry about what other people are doing as the rewards are not based on everyones scores.

RC

-The card has MUCH lower stats compared to the RTTC cards

-You must either spend 8 hours a day grinding or spend ungodly RP amounts to have a shot at the Foil card, which is still much lower stats than a RTTC card. Top 25 is only worthwhile for the first couple weeks of a tier when people don't have stacked lineups. Once people have time to win more events/season the foil card in the top 25 becomes useless

The only advantage of RC is that lower tier players can compete in the event. But at this stage most of us have stacked Leg Pro lineups anyway. At least maybe give 1 spec for 500-1000, 2 spec for 500-100, 3 spec for 100-25, and 4 spec for top 25. People would spend even more on HS and people would stop complaining. Cash daddy and users both benefit.

If the reward structure stays the same, and there is a Rival Clash this week (couldn't imagine a top reward being great after LeBron and Jordan last two weeks), I really don't want to play. However, I have a good team, and would not want to let them down... Even though "Good Agent" has let me down 4 times with no Star Contracts pulled. Ugh. I really hope there is a new tier and a new reason to grind before this week's event, or I don't know what I will do.

For the higher ranked players, I definitely agree. Once you have a lineup good enough to get through RttC it becomes utterly useless to play any RC.

However, when I first started playing this year, the RC's definitely helped me get levels of cards I wasn't even sniffing before when I was in SR/UR tiers.

I agree with RC becoming useless with how easy RTTC is. I mean why grind a silly amount of time in RC when you can cruise to a superior card in RTTC. Unless this weeks RC is a new tier I'm mostly likely sitting out.

Well, I posted last week about not maxing out the levels on 3 recently pro'd legend cards (done just before joining a season) and speculating that I got easier matchups because of it due to complete domination after maxing the cards.

Joined another season and tried to do the same thing again, but I'm definitely not the strongest roster in this by a long shot.... So it appears completely random after all. Damn.

Are you sure those higher level decks didn't employ your strategy too?

Season 1: 11 humans, all 9 were tanks, couple had epics etc in LU.
Season 2: 1 human.
Season 3: 8 humans, all event cards/rs, etc.

Random list goes on. I've charged, not charged, etc..The one thing I haven't done yet is put in weaker cards. I'm convinced that season matchups are near completely random.

You gotta realize though that it can only match you against those who happen to search during your search window. I would guess there's some threshhold. I.E. after 1h if you have 1 or less humans it increases the tier range. Nearing 2hours it increases it again.

Yeah, I kinda don't grind RC anymore, no point. You have sit there grinding for hours, while RTTC requires you to grind for maybe 15 mins every 1 hr and 15 mins.

Main thing I've noticed with season match ups and either putting commons or have level 0 cards that you train straight away, is that the opposition bots can be significantly different. I feel like there is two tier levels within leg tier for opposition bots. But matchmaking with humans I think is still down to luck.

Started a season at 7 am thinking I'd get few humans. Wrong. 25 humans. All leg pro lineups. I have 2 of the rookie legs and Lebron RTTC plus 2 epic pros. I literally have no chance to even make the playoffs. Waste of 3 more days

Yeah, I kinda don't grind RC anymore, no point. You have sit there grinding for hours, while RTTC requires you to grind for maybe 15 mins every 1 hr and 15 mins.

I felt this way all year. Even when RTTC started and everyone was complaining bout how they screwed it up, I thought it was other way around.

RTTC only cost you 72k RP even before HS were draft able, whereas I spent 144K RP to get the Blake and I had to grind literally non stop for 10 hours on Sunday. I broke the 1000 with 11 mins left.

After that I was done with RC. The RP spent and time consumed are not even remotely rewarded
