In the history of sports games, I can't think of a single one where progress transferred over from year to year. I highly, highly doubt that progress from this game will carry over to next year's app.

But that's because this isn't a real sports game. When you buy a sports game, you're buying it for the gameplay and features of playing an actual sport.
The gameplay of this game is all about collecting cards to use against others. The whole purpose of playing is to collect the best cards and not to emulate a sports simulation experience. So maybe there's a slight chance it'd transfer over? I dunno.. but I really hope soLast edited by fierzer; 01-13-2014, 02:09 PM.Comment

re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
U guys r crazy if u think they will transfer anything. The only goal of this game is to make money. Y do u think they made aquiring epics/legenderies a once in a blue moon chance yet at the same time they made it readily avalaible if you spend money on it. If they included the epic pacts at the release of this app i would uninstall the first day. But they r not stupid, they suckered in the players first by making it seem that this is a fair and legit game for all than boom money grab epic pacts.
Next year they will just do it all over again.Comment

I wish you could "earn" those points used to buy epic packs by playing the game normally, so you know you're going to get an epic every X games just by playing.
Maybe the new game mode will let you earn those points so you can spend them in the store? Maybe that's wishful thinking. Even if it's 2 points per win and 1 point per loss, that would be a nice way to know exactly how much more you need to play for that epic pack.Comment

The people that spend that much money must be really rich. I'm not exactly hurting for me and I'm not willing to spend on microtransactions (more out of principle than anything). For me it's a question of "where does it end?" so I don't spend at all to avoid that question.Go Colts, Go Irish!!

Or it might be just partially random, just that better stats give you a better chance.

Well depending on how close they might be, support cards and/or the players' special abilities stuff might have made somewhat of a difference.

re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
why this season my rating is at the 1300s avg and almost everyone is at 1600s avg or higher. im getting owned every game. last season the highest rated player was at the 1200s and i came second in that season. did i get pushed into another range cos my avg went up?Comment

re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
I can't say for sure but I think it's random. I see a lot of people with a lot lower ratings than me, but I also see folks with a lot higher too. I'm on game 5 of a season and just discovered I'm locked in there with someone with 3500 in each stat. OH BOY. Another four days wasted with no epic.

re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Like I said, I think it's highly doubtful. The mechanics of even a simple game like this are likely to change slightly from year-to-year, and developers are not likely to spend alot of time figuring out how to translate previous years' cards to the current version. Aside from that, I can't imagine they'd allow the people who've literally spent thousands of dollars on cards to transfer those cards to the new game, when they can just get people to spend thousands more on the new cards.
The people that spend that much money must be really rich. I'm not exactly hurting for me and I'm not willing to spend on microtransactions (more out of principle than anything). For me it's a question of "where does it end?" so I don't spend at all to avoid that question.
The "where does it end" is a great reasoning. People are spending money to avoid spending time. But at some point you're buying yourself out of the game. If you have all legendaries, what's the point in playing a season to get worse cards than you have? Then what do you have, quick games?
So if you were to spend, I would spend to a point where you start winning seasons once out of every few times, then start using season to get pro epics, and go from there. Any more and you're paying in order to not play the game.
