That said, there's probably some truth to him only playing as hard as he needed to. Would be interesting to see how cracked out these guys would get if they're both putting out their best

If they do go at it, I think the community deserves pic updates every 8 hours

I'm sure CD's bank account feels the same way

Dude they have great line ups, they tap real fast and spend a lot of money.

I finished 18th in one of these scoring a little over 30k pts and I only spent $75 on hs.

So think about it if 7500 of my points were purchased that means I earned 23k points on my own, out of those 23k pts probably a 1000 was from drafted hs. So if would've hs the rest of my points I would've scored 52k pts that RC event which was the mavs vs Suns which 41k won the event.

Would've I won that event.... no because Twista stopped at 41k to honor dirk plus there is no way in hell Twista was going to loose Dirk to anyone lol!

He was playing hard in the beginning, mostly when he was fighting for #1 and that went on for over a day (till thursday or friday, you should ask MistaNkredible 'cause those 2 were fighting for first and Wayne was going all out till MistaNkredible stopped). He probably could have pass 40k if i pushed him at the end but i had no intention on buying HS or even trying to catch him (too much work). Add server issues started on Sat night, i just slept like a baby for 8+ hours (16+ hour sleep during RC weekend is probably unheard of for anyone in the top 5 LOL... gives you an idea the competition level he had).

Honestly, if all the vets played even at the rate of KD's event, Wayne would likely have finished 6th and 10k or so below first. I have a pretty idea since i was watching the leaderboard last event too and finished 10th (note i was on a higher pace this event than KD too... heck i only finished with 2k less points and there was 1 less day lol).

I have a pretty idea since i was watching the leaderboard last event too and finished 10th (note i was on a higher pace this event than KD too... heck i only finished with 2k less points and there was 1 less day lol).

You can and if this and if that...speculate all you want...but talk is cheap and your speculation is cheaper. The FACT is WayneMaker put the smack down this last RC and will do so the next RC. Bring it on Donkey Kong!

Think WayneMaker was only pushing you. I was sitting in 3rd the entire time without ever dropping so there wasn't much of a push and considering i didn't buy any HS, safe to assume most in the top 10 didn't buy or at the very least didn't play exclusively with HS (since i was gaining in them when i was playing instead of them gaining on me). I was cheering for you during the fight since i had a season with you right after the KD RC. Also the play pattern was actually very normal in the sense that he did play a lot but when he played, he was going @ ~800pt/hr (HS spamming rate for someone who's good but not great... some vets here probably push closer/over 1000... heck if you take my non-HS pace, i would be doing 900+ pt/hr spamming HS). He also had sleep hours where he didn't move at all.

Egbert (person who ended #2) fit your theory of someone just sitting there playing all day. I think he was only getting 300-400 pt/hr but the last few days, he didn't appear to ever stop. On Sat afternoon, i had like a 300 point buffer on him and while i was playing, my buffer was growing by 100-200 points a hour... went to sleep with ~1500-2000 point buffer on him, Sunday, i woke up with him ahead of me but only by 600 points (could have caught him but didn't feel like it, no difference between #2 and #10 to be honest and i had top 10 locked like you did). This was similar on Thursday and Friday (just bigger buffer becoming smaller while i sleep and increasing slowly while i was playing). I don't think anyone could stay up that long (unless he only sleeps like 2-3 hours while i was asleep for 8 hours but with the rate he was gaining points, its likely he played the entire night).

Of course part of the reason there was less interest was the fact most knew the best card was in the 151-650 tier. Of course Playoff Pro CD (when Pro) would be the best card but odds of anyone getting a second one is pretty low (unless you spend $100s/$1000s on packs).

I hear you I came in aiming for top 25 based on where i placed in durants event. I was shocked to be at 1 after a day and a half so when i got bumped to two i was like hey as long as i dont fall out of top ten cool. Im not going to lie though when i was one i had the biggest grin on my face while playing didnt want to go to sleep. But i got others things to do then grind like that and after like 3 days im burnt out, dont even feel like playing the game no more. Im kind of glad that it was reduced a day honestly.

I wouldn't call it smack down, there are screen shot results for past RC vs this one. Fact is, higher tiers in this one had less competition than ever before. Like i said, i got 3rd while really slacking off and not buying a single HS. The normal "top 10" generally speaking aren't there and replace by those (generally) in the top 25 last time and even their paces were a lot lower than last time.

Even if you look at the rewards, this time the rewards for top 150 isn't all that different than last RC (small upgrades from 26 - 150) but for top 25+, the rewards are pretty much the SAME except you get 2x 2k players vs 1x 2.5k + 1x 1.6k player (last time). While lower tiers all got decent upgrades... thus again more incentive to finish 151-650 than top 25. Add to the fact 151 only required 9k points (i think a few of us got there by Wednesday night/Thursday morning so its doable in 1 day) vs 25k.

With the past rivals cards not being adjusted i have my doubts that I will ever have the desire to win another event. WayneMaker can win 6 in a row if he desires because soon V3 Rivals will be out and all his pros will be useless. I see the light at the end of the tunnel but I am closing my wallet.

Im a vet. 22k wins. Can some of the other vets please stop talking to these new commers who think their the ****. I play alot during rivals, ppg is only maybe 400, so you dont see me on the top 50, ever. Can we all stop talking **** until next rivals where twista, monarch, etc. will step it up and kick all of your new commers asses. And new commers. Just stop lol
