Here's a tip to newer guys

When you start make Philadelphia your favourite team so you have a chance at landing a Thaddeus Young in your starter pack then build from that.

Keep an eye on these players as they will take you far till you rack up legendaries and epics.

Ricky Rubio
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Trevor Ariza


Pro these and you will win the majority of the games you play till you get to the guys with the Pro epics and legendaries.

Should add a Mario Chalmers to that one too. Larry Sanders and JJ Hickson too.

I am on the fence of uninstalling the game, I am about to be knocked out of the playoffs when I am up in every category and I am completely charged. I understand in sports sometimes the better team will lose the game, but to lose the entire series, if this is apparently all based on luck why are we scrambling for the legend cards?

I am on the fence of uninstalling the game, I am about to be knocked out of the playoffs when I am up in every category and I am completely charged. I understand in sports sometimes the better team will lose the game, but to lose the entire series, if this is apparently all based on luck why are we scrambling for the legend cards?

For what it's worth, I was beaten 4-1 in the third round of my last playoffs by a team that was 400 points lower than me in every stat category, and he didn't even bother to energize until like Game 4. Because of that, I lost one of the games despite having 700+ more points in each category. It sucks, but I'm just hoping that someday the tables turn and I can pull out such a win. Not holding my breath though.

Couldn't agree with you more bro made it to 2nd round only to be swept by a team with around 500 stats less than mine. It's cool to lose a few games here and there and I wouldn't even be mad if it went to game 7 but to be swept like your team is worth less is disheartening. I recommend you don't even worry about seasons just focus on improving your deck for your own pleasure.

Up in every category doesn't necessarily mean that you're set up as well as he is though. He could have better support cards, or you could have all of your points in one guy or something along those lines.

My understanding is that season mode basically works just like quick game mode, except it is running through more than just the 4-5 scenarios you see in a quick game.

So let's assume for a moment that you have 9 rare pros, 1 legend card, and 4 rare supports while your opponent has 10 rare pros and 4 epic supports. Let's assume further that your 9 rare pros are just random guys, not anyone specific, and so your 9 guys aren't optimal for your lineup. Then let us assume your opponent has an optimal lineup, like this, on both his starters and subs:

1 guy with very high BC and MG, high defense, and low offense
1 guy with very high BC and MG, high offense, and low defense
1 guy with very high offense, high defense and MG, and low BC
1 guy with very high defense, high offense and BC, and low MG
1 guy with very high defense, high offense and MG, and low BC
4 Epic support cards

A setup like this, despite you being ahead by say, 10% in every category, could still net you a loss every time, because while your legend card may smash any of his 1 cards, he follows it up with 3-4 wins on other cards.

Even if you do have an optimized lineup, if you have a mix of Epic Pro/Legendaries with Rare Pro/Epics, that too can be deceiving because you are still lumping a lot of your power in to one place instead of spread evenly amongst your cards.

Don't misunderstand me: It's not a bad thing to have the legendary card in your lineup, it's great... it just makes the overall stats look deceivingly better than they really are, particularly if your opponent is very balanced.

TL;DR -- your "overall composite stats" are deceiving and aren't the be all end all, particularly if you don't have an optimized lineup AND balanced cards.

I get what you are saying but I have a pretty all around team. My only player that is not around the same in every category and is more a situation player is Epic Pro Stockton. Other then that all my players are all around. Also my support cards are what I would consider pretty good and even if they weren't how can a support card cover almost a 1k deficit?

LOL I love how everyone has nothing good to say about RCs and are constantly whining about server issues reward tiers time invested etc...and then as soon as the new RC is announced people drop everything they pretend to stand for and grind away. If you don't condone CDS deceptive business practices why is everyone still supporting them by throwing even more money at them. CD deserve every scent you guys spend because you don't stand up for your consumer rights. Keep them dollar bills rolling baby....
