What is crew mode then if it's not the same as 2k14 for 360

Back in 2k11, there was full customization, inside of an arena, referees, leaderboards, etc. It was the best mode because you played with your MyPlayer (now MyCareer) against other teams, and you could pick what players you wanted to fill empty slots on your team. Then they took it out, tried to make up for it and failed and received tons of backlash.

So you mean like a 5 on 5 with your myplayer plus 4 nba players of your choice versus another 5 nba players? Or like 5 myplayers versus another 5 myplayers online? I've always been unclear on what crew mode was but always see people complaining that they took it away.
