I just played back to back Dennis in my season. Same records lol. One had a RC rodman though.

I assume this means one is real. Real players with "normal" names always throw me off.

Mind posting your season LU? I'm wondering how I'd fare up there. Even if I can just get to quarters, I might as well, right?

If you can move up then definitely do it, the rewards will be better.

This is my lineup, only thing different in my starting ten is I replaced a epic pro with Clyde drexler.

For those of you who 've been playing +5 games in Star tier, would this LU have any luck? What level of opponents would i get? 2 Pro Stars? 5 Pro Legs?



Or maybe this one is better?

It's un balanced u won't win unless u find that 1 opponent u know u can beat

You're spot on with defense isn't great, cuz his best DPM(defensive plus-minus) when playing atleast 35 games in a season (cuts out an outlier in GSW) is 0.1 and all the rest are negative. For reference, last year James Harden's DPM was -0.5 and Lin has had two seasons worse than that. Yeah.

Other than Lin's huge spike in limited games in NYK when his AST% jumped to 41.0(which was pretty good, better than Curry's ever been, but hes an overrated passer anyways) his highest AST% has been 29. Jose Calderon (in his spot in NYK now) has only ever had 2 seasons with a worse AST%.

Lin's True Shooting % while in NYK (it's dropped since) is only 3% higher than Rajon Rondo's best year. Not exactly a shooter. D.J. Augustin has had one season better and one season almost tied, to bring in some reference.

You say great P&R passer, and while there's no real advanced stat for that, there is Turnover%. Lin's absolute best TOV% of 17.8 (which came in 29 games for GSW, his one for the knicks season is atrocious at 21.4) would be the absolute worst TOV% in a season in the careers for CP3, Damian Lillard, Stephen Curry, James Harden, Derrick Rose, and would tie D.J. Augustin (to bring another about average PG into the mix).

You also state a lack of opportunities for his decline, but though he did fall off from a 28% usage rate to 20.6-20.8 since NYK, his USG% isn't bad at all. It's just a few percentage points off of 5 of Chris Paul's seasons.

You really can't defend Lin as being anything better than an average PG.
He really shouldn't even start for most teams in the league.

I was comparing to specifically his month of Feb during 11-12 season, while Melo was injured & he ran the offense.

Also your numbers are pretty far off:
1. Lin played 35min/g Calderon has only played 33+mins/g in 2 season & even then his usg% was half of Lin's. Calderon's AST/TOV ratio it far better than almost everybody except for Chris Paul.
2. Lin's TS% was 13pts higher than Rondo (56>43), but that accounts free throws as well so I rather use eFG% which was still 50%. Thats par with everyone else outiside of the likes of Korver, Curry, Klay Thompson etc.
3. Like i said his TOV ratio is horrible, bottom of the league, but still not much more than rondo, like .3 pts. Also this doesn't differentiate bad pass steals from pick pocket steals.
4. 8% is a pretty big drop. His 28% in NY avg to about 70 possessions per game (based on teams pace & his mins/g). This season his avg is down to 53. That's not even including his 8 usg% drop. His 28% translated to roughly 20 possessions. This year's 20%?....11 possessions

My point is simple, put him in an offense where he actually touches the ball & I think he can give you like 18-20pts/7-9ast a game (which was his actual stats during "Linsanity"). Nobody is expecting the 38pts & the 28pts he put up in the 2-3 huge games everyone remembers..

I just need some luck with leg dupes and my team would be pretty similar. Probably get wrecked with all my single stars right now. Anyway, thanks man.

OK now back on topic, I have a question. Does anyone know whether the draft board depends on your tier when it clears/forms or when you won the draft pick?

For example, I played in epic++ & stockpiled 100 draft picks. Then I played 1 last game in Leg+ & then used all my draft picks. Obviously the 1st draft board was already there when I played in Epic tier so Im not considering it, but after that board I pulled 2 epics within those same 100 picks. So would that be 2 epic tier resets? Or is it just 2 board clears in Leg tier?

Pulled three Epics today: Detlef Schrempf, Michael Carter-Williams, and Andre Drummond. Schrempf was a dupe that'll go in my season LU. Still waiting on that Legendary reset, at 152 boards and counting.

Do you all think the bar matters in Star season tier. I had mine as low as possible and in playing people with much better teams.

I don't think having a common bench really makes a difference. It's all timing at this stage, start when no one else is starting and get lucky.

It doesn't. Since it's the highest tier, you get matched up with anyone who is in it. All you can do is try to find a time when not a lot of people start and hope for the best.

Yeah it's all about luck, otherwise I wouldn't have been matched with teams that has 6-7 star pros, it might make a different further down when a lot more is in star season,

Quite the eventful weekend.

Friday night, I still hadn't gotten my first non-freebie Star tier yet, so I was hoping to play quite a bit this weekend in hopes of getting another Star card, and my Season was also set to end on Friday, so was hoping I'd get at least two Star cards this weekend.

Early on in the evening on Friday, I got two Legendaries and an Epic within about fifteen boards! I was super stoked, as they were Dominique Wilkins (dupe!) and Kevin Durant! Now, I don't really need too many SFs since I have Leg dupe LBJ and RC LBJ, but I was going to take it of course. I also got John Starks, who is a cool card as well.

Turns out, I end up losing in the Semi-finals to someone who didn't have a better team than I did, and I was super bummed. I was caught up with some real-life things, and didn't upgrade my team fully. So I lost in the Semis during my Legendary season, was at least hoping for a dupe so I could throw two dupes into a new season. Nope. Deron Williams and Isaiah Thomas, neither a dupe.

Currently in another Legendary season where I'm in first place, and should at least make the Finals as it seems like there are only three other real players, and I have better cards than two of the three.

So tonight I figured I'd play a bit, and I get another Legendary SF, this time Dr. J! It's a pretty cool card, so I was fine with it even though I have plenty.

Was about to turn in for the night, but about four boards later I actually got my Star reset! Kyle Lowry! I also got a dupe Epic tonight (Michael Cooper), so after this season, I'll get quite the boost on my team and shouldn't lose any more unless I run into a juggernaut that has commons on his bench.

Next Season I'll be looking at...

Backup PG: Star Kyle Lowry

Starting SG: Star Clyde Drexler
Backup SG: Star Allen Iverson

Starting SF: Leg Pro LeBron James
Backup SF: Leg Pro Dominique Wilkins

Starting PF: Epic Pro Greg Monroe

Starting C: Star Patrick Ewing
Backup C: Leg RC Dwight Howard

Bench: Epic Pro Mo Cheeks, Michael Cooper, Paul Pierce, Daryl Dawkins, and Al Horford.

Hopefully at the end of THIS season, I can get a dupe Leg PF to replace Greg Monroe too. Or at least a Star PF. Carmelo Anthony, DeMarcus Cousins, Serge Ibaka, Kevin Durant or EITHER Paul Millsap would be a dupe for me.

Started a little rough but hopefully this is a sign of things to come!
