Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
30% really doesn't make sense. The fact is that you WANT free players to be involved and you WANT to promote buying, selling and reselling. You want them to buy and sell bulk. Remember, the credits that I sell something for don't come out of thin air. They have to be purchased by one person or another. In this case, pay-to-play people will be the ones footing the bill, while free-to-play players are the ones recycling them. The more people that have credits, the more buyers, bids and BINs there are, which drives up prices. This causes the pay-to-play people to purchase more credits, which get cycled through.I played MUT but EA has 2 separate currencies. AH uses tokens but you buy pack bundles with points. So I dont see how they make money from AH, unless you wanna say people buy the bundles so they can flip the cards for millions of tokens
e: actually now thinking about it 30% tax actually makes sense. I dont like it from a consumer aspect, but they only make money when you purchase credits, correct? So how are they supposed to make money from micros if you never have to buy credits? If you can just sell 2 cards you dont need & buy another why would you ever buy credits? How does that benefit them, yea you will need to buy some credits but you wouldn't need to buy the big packs..
Prices should be determined purely by supply and demand. As we saw, LBJ and AD Star cards had no problem selling for 10k+ credits. World B. Free cards, on the other hand, weren't selling at 5k. What would they have gone for if there were no floor? Well, with a tax of 30%, there is no resale value, so the only people that are looking to purchase it are the people that need/want a World B. Free card (probably mostly people that already have one). That leaves a ton of supply with very little demand. However, if the tax were 5% (same as Fifa), you have now created a sub-market of people who will look to get cards on the cheap and resell them to make a profit. So maybe those players determine the value to be 2000 and then turn around and sell them for 2500, making 375 credits as profit. Do that a few times and you can now buy some pretty good stuff yourself. Meanwhile, you've naturally set both the floor and an LBIN and created more buyers. To that end, the resale market will most likely drive the floor up higher than that.
Also, this game has a built in advantage that no other game that I'm aware of has: many of the transactions that occur result in 65% net profit for CD. Anytime you buy a card to train with, CD gets 30% of the seller's cut and 100% of the buyer's cut, since they can no longer use or resell that card. Purchasing a card to combine is similar, although it does add value to the card you're combining it with (so it's not 65%, but it's definitely more than 30%).Comment

now people understand the tax!
in my opinion the tax is so high is cause people will start selling credits on eBay for cheap if tax was low.
it's to counter farmers and to slowly take out the credit currency in the pool. kinda extracting to much credits flowing around the game thus creating more credit purchases.

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Oh, also to your point about 2 different currencies, that's the way it should be done. EA does that a) so you literally can't just buy good players, and b) to get as many people involved in buying and selling as possible (cause, as I've stated a million times, that's what you want! Viva commerce!). In Fifa, the pay-to-win players have to invest their money in packs and then sell those players to get the credit type to bid with. CD doesn't really even try to hide the fact that you can pay to win. Basically, you can drop $250 your first day playing the game and already be in Star tier.I played MUT but EA has 2 separate currencies. AH uses tokens but you buy pack bundles with points. Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
I wouldn't mind the tax if you could earn credits on a regular basis, and I love how NWGameDad says we give away credits through ladder rewards and daily VC as if its enough to buy a card from AH or a pack. It's the only game I've played with an AH that you don't earn coins/credits on a regular basis. Don't get me started on the prices of packs either! I thought Fifa prices were ridiculousnow people understand the tax!

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Except you aren't balancing anything out. You're left with a limited number of buyers, so there won't be as many sales AND then they'll come take 30% of that sale anyway. There's no such thing as "too many credits"... just about every one of those credits are purchased. Right now they are just mostly distributed to those who bought them instead of being distributed across the majority of users. Any economy is only as strong as its middle class and this model doesn't even have a middle class.now people understand the tax!
