Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Idk. I keep around 70 cards in my deck at all times, and I still get put in winnable seasons almost every time. I'm not sure it has that great of an effect.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Congrats!
Next time we play in season, let's max out and see who wins.
I felt like I had the best team in our season, but with your new additions, you may have passed me.
Let's see who wins at full power, so I can know if I should tank or not.
EDIT- People need to stop hating on The Greatest Power Forward of All Time, and my best card, Dennis Rodman. 5 rings. Led the league in rebounding 7 times. 2 time Defensive Player of the Year.
Leave him be!
Who knows, lol maybe next time. But I highly doubt we meet in a season three times in a row.
We may meet in the playoffs this season. Your first and I'm tied for last but I'm way too wrapped up in Rivals to pay any attention towards the season, only checking in occasionally to rotate some players.Last edited by United; 02-26-2014, 03:01 PM.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
1) I don't think the game takes the chosen team into account. In the last event, somebody posted a pic of them beating me, and I represented the Celtics in that match. I definitely picked the Lakers for the last Rivals Clash though.
2) That doesn't work. When matching up for seasons, the game matches you based on the strength of your overall deck, not the lineup you chose to put in. I threw away a season long ago thinking I could outsmart the system.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Got up to 2nd and didn't buy any either. I think most of us saw this coming though as soon as it was announced that hot streaks were going to be limited to holding 3 at a time. NWGD's argument was that it kept the ranking "honest", but imo it took an element away from the Rivals event. It was probably the only advantage non-payers had and well, "non-payers" is exactly their qualm. Maybe I'm seeing this from a very narrow point of view, but right now, it's looking like an Ebay auction where you bid with hot streaks until the day the listing ends lol. I'm not delusional enough to complain and question why a company would keep implementing new channels for profit. I'm really just surprised they don't see a limit to how far they can tailor the game towards heavy spenders. I know it's been that way from the start, but where do they draw the line between paying for success and success through time/effort? Maybe we can look forward to only being capable of holding up to 3 Energy Cards in order to keep the season/playoffs "honest" next week?
Anyhow, as I mentioned, I may be looking at this all wrong. So everybody please feel free to offer me any insight. I don't consider myself to be a true gamer by any stretch and this is the only mobile app game I play regularly. Actually, it's the first app game I've ever played too lol. I'm sure many of you have a much more refined perception about this than I do.
Ok, I'm done typing so much lol glad about the bump in the rivals rewards though. Hope this didn't come off as a "I hate this game" rant.
EDIT: Forgot to mention. This is absolutely NO DISS to anyone that has paid or is still buying anything in this game. Sh!t, I've spent money on it too. I simply wish there was a better balance between paying and playing.Last edited by EyeGotSoul; 02-26-2014, 03:06 PM.MyNBA2k14:

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Very ironic that I just drafted Howard considering I chose the Spurs! Not trying to rub it in but this draft did make me laugh out loud and enough for our secretary to ask what was so funny. Anyway carry on Grinders!Twista

I agree with you bro and this is also my first app addiction. However if I did not love basketball like I do then I would not be playing this game, lol. If it was not for getting the hot streaks I would not even be in contention for top 1000 due to my lack of spare time, (in most cases).Twista

Lol I dropped to like T58 from 30 something. When I get home, I'm pulling out those hotstreaks to catch up quickly and then hit the books

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
I'm fully aware that is how seasons work. We also know right now seasons are far more matched by who is around than your deck strength due to the timer. It is not about trying to win the season which is why I said you will probably be throwing it away. It's the beating people with 600 more stats than you in each category because they have a team of rare pros decked out and you have epic pros or legends mixed with commons. It's mostly a trollin kinda thing I guess,Comment

I don't thinks it's a problem though , cause nobody here can say they win every game using 2 commons, u still lose 2-3 out of 10 , on the other hand , once I add a 4th legendary or rare pro I can barely win 2 out of 10 (5 point matchups)

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
All of you drafting legendaries and epics and i get nothing. I am so ****ing unlucky in this game, really starting to piss me off. I played at least 1200 games since yesterday and the best i got was a lousy thadeus young...Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
And if you want any actual reasonable reason why to do this I think it could give a little insight to how season scoring really works. Ie is having 3 strong players and 2 commons enough to win in a season too? Is it all about individual card strength and winning "best of fives" of cards in lineups.
That would be interesting to test. Whatever "data" we'd get would still be useless, but it'd be fun to test. Maybe I'll give it a try next season.Comment

Well my main problem with this game is we play to get cards rather than get cards to play the game. It just seems counter intuitive for what a game should be.
Sure I'm one of the suckers too but I really want to get more out of this app but I'm not sure we will.
