I don't know if I should put this in the faq so I'm going to as here. it's there a difference between the old rare cards and the new ones? ( the cards do have different backgrounds)

Just wanted to add my experience to the weird rounding error issue. I got 2 Admirals from this Rivals event and was super nervous to train them, fearing I would get the lower stats on my first ever legendary. So, I went with Josh's method of throwing 2 max rare pros in to train up all 30 levels at once (I know you put in extra throw in cards beyond the 2, but that's all I had since I would use 6 max rare pros to do both Admirals then to max his PRO version up to level 35).



Lo and behold, using the exact same strategy of 2 max rare pros in one shot, I got 1 Admiral with the higher numbers: 366/415/370/404 and 1 Admiral with the lower numbers: 366/413/369/404!



Needless to say, I was super bummed. So, I combined them and got a starting value at 0/35 of: 423/477/431/466.



Then the amazing thing happened. I ended up with the higher "round up" error numbers when I leveled him up to 35: 618/697/629/688. Whatever, I'm a happy dude! Here's how I trained him to level 35. I first used commons and uncommons to level 6 (since it now appears that it is more luck than method - given that I got 2 different results on the same card using the same strategy), then I added 2 max rare pros to jump him up to level 35.



Hopefully this eases the anxiety of some of you. It appears to be more luck than method (the only thing I didn't control for in my test is that the 2 rares I used were different players than the other 2). I also hope NWGameDad and team can fix this rounding error problem so that some of us aren't robbed after buying or earning these coveted Legendary cards.

Thanks for the information. I guess it's all luck/random. I haven't drafted enough players yet for my DRobinson pro (yes have not QG much since the rivals.... Still burned out).... With the new cards I'll try to grind a bit tonight and see what happens. I'll use your method. Cheers! :-)

I think this update is a mess:

players that were "commons" duplicated as "uncommons"

players that were "uncommons" duplicated as "rares"

players that were "uncommons" duplicated as other "uncommons"

players that were "rares" duplicated as another "rares"

in my opinion they should have added just players who have been traded, or new "historic" players of the past...
with this update the catalogue is a complete mess

Pacers catalog:

7 epics
5 rares
3 uncommon
2 commons.

i like those odds if i decide to buy 25 team packs

So tanking method would have a higher chance to land two epics if your favorite team is the pacers?

ik this should be in faq but since it has been brought up here i am wondering if the new cards are better or worse than the old ones, how many new cards there are and if i have an old card thats not pro should i just use it to train because i cant get a dupe anymore or can i still get a dupe.

Woowww the devs listen! We got much needed upgrades in rarities and alot of new upgraded cards and pics! Now of course theres some I don't agree with but for the most part they fixed a lot of players I personally asked for, nice! This just made quick games fun again lol.

Man.. as the top team in my season points-wise I went to bed fully charged and woke up 5 hours later just in case, only to find myself down 3-2. No problem right? I charge my team for game 6, win, and charge my team for game 7 just so there are no nasty surprises. Check back in an hour and boom. Lost to a team that I was better than by hundreds of points in each category, in the first round. Brutal way to lose when I've been expecting an epic for the past 89 hours. And no, two Alan Andersons are not a good consolation prize. /end rant

I won conference semi finals after I was down by 500 points in every category. It took 7 games for me to win. I didn't win finals though (I was about 1000 points down in each category). I have a theory why can I beat some better teams than mine is. I always look to have rounded lineup. You have 5 double categories (offense-ball control, offense-mental, defense-ball control, defense-mental and ball control-mental) so every one of my players in my LU is good at one of those categories. They are not necessarily players with highest attributs

I proed Jason Collins just to get that because I will never take the time to actually properly max them out.

I really am tempted to buy more packs because I want that new Lebron legend.
