My Bogut and Ezeli were the third on the market and Barbosa was first. I haven't been able to sell any of the other cards because I took a break and couldn't get them close to the top.

When did you get hired by CD? In what way is this event a special treat for me when it means I have to forgo sleep and play a game every 6 minutes for the entire duration?

Sure... they're great cards ... except nobody is going to want to sell the actual top few. I've had exactly one person offer to sell me Igoudala, and it was part of a package deal where I needed to pay his costs to complete the event AND pay him 100,000 credits for all ten cards.

So erm... yeah. I don't think the whole thing where they argue this is a special event and it's a great thing for the players holds water when you look at the time it takes.

I just saw someone on twitter who completed it in 13 hours. People came close to accusing me of cheating when I completed a normal RttC up to the final card in 13 hours.

Assuming he has the deck to win on +7 all the way through, and hot streaked the entire time, he completed a game every 2.82 minutes, and that doesn't account for the time it takes to train away cards.

I don't think I'm stepping out on a limb when I say that very few people can +14 the whole way, and even fewer can somehow complete games so fast that their average is 2.82 minutes per including training time.

I just timed myself for two games in a row, and it took me 2 minutes and 57 seconds on the first one and 2 minutes and 54 seconds on the second.

As an anecdotal reference, during the last RC I stayed in the top 25 for the first 90 minutes or so before I gave up on the Cavs winning, so I clearly am not some kind of super slow poke.

You are so missing my point. not all event must be completed. relax. take a chill-pill. you like the rewards ? pay to play. you think it is stupid ? get what you can from free game nights can try to cash in from AH what you got for FREE.

You are missing SM's points the cards in this event don't do anything for him. He has RC Pros, PNP pros, HOF pros, etc. These cards minus the last 3 do NOTHING for him. And most players will sell whatever cards they can get.

Hey SmartForce, i know your LU kicks ***, it's certainly better than mine, and i am already 80 points on Klay level. There's more than 2 days left. I think the RttC is doable, especially for someone with your deck (where i am now playing +10s, you'd be playing +14s).

Why are you so left behind? Just curious.

And you're missing mine. This game is heading into its twilight. CD should be doing exactly the opposite of what they're doing. It's no secret that I've supported the app generously with funds. I am not even opposed to the GN/HS costs in this case.

It's simply the unrealistic time frame. And a ton of people in this community have decks which are considerably weaker than mine, so if they want to complete it, they're looking at having to figure out how to finish games in 90 seconds to make up for getting fewer points per game.

All of this would be much more reasonable if this app wasn't going to just stop being supported in a few months when the next one comes out.

And yes, I'm familiar with the "You don't have to do it if you don't want to" argument. I want to get the cards. It seems absurd to me that nobody at CD sat down and worked out the math to see how quickly decks of varying strengths would have to play to do this event.

It's not like I'm sitting on a terrible deck and complaining that I won't be able to complete the event. I could probably buy dupes for the first 5 cards on the AH and that would be enough to make my RttC deck capable of doing +7 against the final 4 cards.

If it's a time crunch for me ... what is it for the vast majority of the players who haven't spent on the game and have considerably weaker decks?

tbh If i make a couple more playoff pros i would have a similar lineup with some cards having better stats. Does your lineup win +5s as well or just +2s?

And now i am missing your point. sorry.
I'll also use SM as an example to my point - he got RC PRO by going hard-core on that one RC (kudos to him - really - I never was able to get a decent run) , and getting top 25 in RC is no small feet - it takes a lot of time and commitment, and since he liked the rewards - he went for it.
If he thinks the rewards are not worth it - play casually.

Mostly because my sleep time already got eaten up by an ISP outage. I live in the mountains and I kept losing game nights and points trying to play with my 1 bar or signal on my phone.

I wasn't willing to go outside and run an extension cord to keep my phone charged while I played outside. I haven't quite gotten that crazy yet.

And that's the other thing that I didn't really mention, since it only applies to people who have been like the top 1% of the top 1%. Any of us who spent buckets of time and have RC Pros and/or POTG pros and such ... the only worthwhile rewards for us are gated behind a ton of grind.

Now, I'm probably the exception among the folks who spend money on the game in that I'd like to pro all 10 of the cards. I have better cards in almost all cases, except for Igoudala, but just ... this is like the most limited set of cards for this year. I enjoy my hobbies and one of the things that's great about card hobbies is collecting the rarest cards.

I don't see the point in doing the "x games in y seconds" when you can just buy GN and just get all of them. you decide if spending credits on GN to get them all is worth it to you. like you decide if not sleeping good for a weekend, drinking coffee and energy drinks and eating pizzas to get more games on RC is worth it. you have the power to decide.

Personally the event would be great if it's length was extended so that someone could physically complete it without spending a dime, but they would have to have an uber LU and no sleep to accomplish. The fact it's designed to make completion without credits is impossible just rubs me the wrong way.

I don't see the point in doing the "x games in y seconds" when you can just buy GN and just get all of them. you decide if spending credits on GN to get them all is worth it to you. like you decide if not sleeping good for a weekend, drinking coffee and energy drinks and eating pizzas to get more games on RC is worth it. you have the power to decide.

The event ends at 6pm Pacific on Sunday. It doesn't matter how many game nights I'm willing to buy. If I don't win a game every 6 minutes from now until then, I won't complete the event.

I should also say ... I can probably +7 the last four cards reliably. I usually just +2 the PO and POTG card to milk the 8 draft picks as long as possible. If I had trouble doing it consistently, it wouldn't be all that hard to get some more PO pros into the lineup with all the people trying to sell the first few rewards, yeah?
