Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
This event was really ill conceived on the part of CD. I'm actually having to play as if I were trying for top-25 in RC to have any hope of completing the event. The amount of points per card is the part that they obviously didn't think through ... at all.
Consider: I missed the first 8 hours of the event because of internet outage. Let's just say that I had slept those 8 hours in two 4 hour chunks for the event, and I will otherwise be awake for and use every possible free game night, and always purchase game nights when I run out.
I suspect my deck ranks in the top 0.5% or better in strength. A few others in the community have shown off similar decks, but the vast majority of the community has decks which are not as good. Even so, let us assume that everyone has a deck strong enough to beat the +2/4 on the final four cards.
Here's how the event breaks down. You have to complete all points before 66 hours ends. If you are in the final game and the timer expires, oh well you don't get Igoudala, so for all intents and purposes, you really have 65 hours and 55 minutes. Assume 8 hours total sleep over the course of that 65:55 and you are left with 57:55 in which to complete the event.
If you can do +7 up through the first 6 cards, and you hot streak:
Bogut: 224 points, 16 games
Ezeli: 294 points, 21 games
Barbosa - Barnes: 420 each = 1680 points, 120 games
Now, since we're assuming you can beat the final 4 cards on +2:
Lee - Igoudala: 420 each = 1680 points, 420 games
So assuming your deck is strong enough to actually beat the final four cards (and very few of us have decks that can do it on +5 level ... and perhaps a small hand full of us can beat +7 reliably), you have to play 577 games during the event.
47:55 works out to 3,475 minutes available time (assuming you sleep/miss only 8 hours for the entire event, which goes nearly 3 days).
With 577 games to complete you have to complete a game every six minutes and one second, and still need to account for when you hit the card limit and need to train, which pushes you to need to go even faster.
Throw in the need to handle making food and taking care of other biological functions, and it starts to become clear that the folks at Cat Daddy just literally didn't think this through at all.
How many of us have the stamina to be awake for 58 of 66 hours, and complete a game every 6 minutes during that time, along with handling just the basic necessities of life? Remember that these games take longer to load and are roughly equivalent to 5 RC games in length if you go as fast as you can possibly go tapping the screen.
Like ... I don't think Danan or Brad or anyone actually sat down and figured out how much time it would take someone to go through this many points. I think they just said "If they want it enough they'll buy game nights" and never even considered whether or not it was actually rational to set the bar where they did.
I think a lot of people are going to realize way too late that their life doesn't allow for them to do an RttC game every 6 minutes for every waking moment ... but only after they already invested a lot into the event.
This could easily have been headed off on CD's part by them extending the amount of time to do the event, but capping the number of game nights for free, or slowing down the rate of how quickly they come free so that it would equate to the normal amount of free nights.
The high point totals don't bother me. The difficulty to get the best cards that can be easily made pro doesn't bother me. The expectation that I can somehow have the stamina to meet this insane schedule ... that bothers me a lot.

Edit: I agree with everything you said, but, I am not upset about the points needed and the difficulties as you move up. I felt that those were necessary, the better cards should be harder to get. And frankly i dont mind the amount of points needed, it motivates me to grind more so i can train my cards and close out on my next reset. What really bothers me though is that they didnt extend the event duration, thats where they f**ked up. All in all though you are very much correct with everything you said.Last edited by SwollPuffin; 06-26-2015, 04:56 PM.Comment

So tempting... Good to know Steph and Klay will go for minimum. I hope Iggy goes for 14k or less.

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
I'm not going to reply to your thread SmartForce since that's going to be a long quote lol. But I always read your essays. Whether or not I respond in an essay with the same length...well...that's another story lol.
Danan pretty much conceived that if you want all 10 cards this RTTC, you're going to have to use credits. The insult from that response was he replied on Twitter to a user saying "win a season, you get 1000 credits" and from daily bonuses...I'm not even going to start to argue behind the dumb logic behind that.
I am curious how they constructed the point totals though...420..is CD a big supporter of National Marijuana day? I don't know, but some explanation from the 294 jump to 420 for the remaining cards is odd.Comment
