I think what matter more is how many "increments" did you train him in, since at least according to NWGameDad there should be no difference based on the card quality, just there is a rounding error I guess during leveling. So if you trained with 2 pro rares in one shot (basically going from 0 to 30 in one training). I guess, even though this sounds like an awful programming practice/mistake, but let's say this as a possibility. The Kobe card is supposed to get 5.1 offense per level. You stop at level 4 and so you've gained 20.4 offense, which rounds down to 20. When you start leveling him up again you get 5.1 offense again but you lost that .4 progress you had. Again, more speculation. I dunno if we'll see a straight answer. There is the possibility of this working the opposite way, where it rounds up too. Like using the previous example, 5.1 offense/level, and you manage to level up to level 5 or 6. I'll use 6 to be safe. You would have 30.6 offense, round it up to 31. Then when you start leveling again it starts leveling from that flat value instead of the original 30.6.Comment

Do you happen to remember what Pro Rares they were by any chance?
I know that about 200 pages or so ago, someone had mentioned using Ray Allen and somebody else, and then they received a boost. Maybe the Pro Rares used makes some sort of difference? It might explain why my Max Pro Rares didn't increase the stats on my '72 Wilt. There could be some point threshold that pushes the cards over the top in some way in terms of how the numbers are rounded - though I'm really not sure.
Also, I don't know if this matters at all, but I figured I should mention it. When training with my Max Pro Rares, I did the leveling all at one time (so, I fed both cards in at once and the card essentially went from 0-30 instantly). Are you guys doing it once (like 0-25ish), and then doing it again (25ish-30), or is it the same way that I did it?
I've got a John Starks Epic (Pro) I'm getting ready to level. I also have a Ron Harper Max Pro and a Wesley Matthews Max Pro that I can feed to my next Epic (Pro) or Legendary of choice (I still have to level up the Wesley Matthews). I can try putting them into the John Starks and seeing if the results change at all for me compared to my experiences with '72 Wilt and Isiah, though I may get a pack soon and see if I get someone better to dump them into (still praying for a dupe of my Penny Hardaway). Either way, I will post my results once I do. If anyone else does any experimenting, feel free to post your results too
EDIT - Anchen read my mind a bit and managed to post before I didI'm not sure if you saw my first post, but I can say for sure that leveling all at once did not help my '72 Wilt nor did it hurt the gains made to my other cards. Weirdness like this is what makes the whole thing even more confusing to me. Because, if it was a simple rounding error like they had previously mentioned, then doing it all at once OR one level at a time should have been able to replicate the results when, so far, they can't.

There are a lot of great suggestions here, I really hope NWGameDad sees them. He should have hired us as devs lol

In general, people wanted more prizes for grinding. As a result, they came out with rivals where you grind for an ultimate prize while hoping to draft an epic. It is somewhat of an improvement.

Well your welcome...I'm still not convinced I would have won. I also didn't want to be getting up in the middle of the night. Don't know what time zone your in but I'm in EST and the last two rounds would have been crap.
I started this season on impulse I normally time it so that the first round of playoffs start an hour or two before I get up.

To the other guy I dont recall which ones I used. I could try to throw a random guess but it would be pure speculation, however I know for sure Ray wasnt one of them. Arron Afflalo was one I think.IGN: Chyeaaah
