I'm almost for certain epic/legendary pack sales will go down drastically also, with rewards like these there's not a lot of value anymore in paying for a premium card (or the chance of a useless epic).

Have you put up a screenshot or your stats? I know the season I was in with you, you had mg of 7000+

And an idea of total epic packs bought, if you don't mind?

Wouldn't it be useful to have a stat that's Epics drafted/Boards cleared? Just throwing it out there.

In the end it's much more accurate to have the numbers of boards cleared per epics drafted than the number of picks.

Are we going to be able to see the total rewards by tier prior to picking a side?

I doubt I can break top 200 since I couldn't manage that last time, and I'm sure it will be even tougher this time.

Is the forum going to pick one side or the other? Last time it looks like most from here chose the lakers and they smashed the othe side. I think with the majority choosing the lakers because the Kobe looked to have better stats. That may be why they are not showing us the cards ahead of time.

My decision sort of depends on what the 126-250, 251-500 and 500-1250 rewards are and what will benefit me the greatest. Sad to say I'm kind of hoping for the legendary for Houston to be Yao, Haha because I have 1 and the pro stats he could compete with the non pro legendaries and epic pros. But I need another pf and a legendary or epic support would be nice too... The anticipation is killing haha.

I'm thinking Spurs because if the Legend card is David Robinson then I could end up with a pro if I just finish within the same spot I did last time.

Last time, you had to pick a team before you could see any rewards. I think NWGameDad said that for the next update, we'll be allowed to see the rewards ahead of time before we pick a team (I can't recall whether he actually said this or not. I think he did).

I have no idea what team to pick. It all depends on the Houston legendary. If it was Olajuwon, I'm going with the Rockets but if it's Howard/Yao, I'm going with the Spurs. But we have no idea of knowing until we pick a team. (Or maybe NWGameDad will come on later today and tell us.)
In my opinion, Yao has the least chance of being the Houston legendary with Olajuwon and Howard ahead of him. I think it's going to be Robinson vs Olajuwon. It just makes the most sense.

I can't remember if we can look at the rewards prior to picking sides.

I started a bit late and someone already posted the rewards here. So that's an option if you're not aiming for the top 20.

I finished in the teens last time. Around 300 pts in front of 20th place.
For this rivals I'll try for top 25. If not, top 50 is more than enough for me. It's good they included Saturday and Sunday, at least people who have work during weekdays can grind the last 2 days. :-)

My guess for Yao while partly for selfish reason, the Byron Scott they gave away last time is the second worst epic I have (drafted him, not from rivals) I don't think it's out of the question, but I guess to be fair the 2 current legendaries from the spurs blow Yao away, so the cards should be comparable.

I'm with you on the Spurs. The Harden Rivals doesn't interest me much. I don't think he deserves legendary status this early.

I remember you (Twista) climbing up those rankings so fast. I don't know why you were going for the top spot when the rewards from 1-20 are just the same. :-). I was actually rooting for eyegotsoul (Ryan) to keep the top spot being him from this forum. It will be interesting who among you will be number one this time around.

I agree. Kobe vs Bird made absolutely no sense and to be honest, Duncan vs Harden doesn't make much sense either. Maybe they're going for the player you think of first when you think of that team. But that still doesn't make any sense because Harden hasn't even completed 2 years with the Rockets yet. He doesn't deserve to be the player representing the Rockets, that's for sure.

I have no idea why they don't make up these match-ups to actually resemble real 'rivalries'. Everyone knows last time it should have been Magic vs Bird and this time it should have been Robinson vs Olajuwon or if they wanted to go for a more recent look, Duncan vs McGrady/Yao.

Yea, the two Spurs legendary are way better than Yao so I agree, it would make sense for the two legends to be relatively the same in terms of stats.
