Here is my suggestion for these RC events...


I would love to see a hard core weekend RC event or even use the current RC time frame however the twist on this event would be the following.


1. You can not buy hot streaks.
2. You go into this event with the deck you have meaning no buying cards the only thing you can add to your deck is from the pulls during the event.


I would love to see this to see who is a real grinder and not just someone with the most money.


Now I know CD is a business looking to make money but this would be an event only a few times a year just something to give back to the fans.

This is an awesome event idea. Like you said, it wouldn't happen because money is what matters, but we'd all start with commons and pulls would actually matter.

But you don't get it.

Rivals is FOR the grinders already.

My deck just broke 4000 average. I assume that means my deck is better than yours.

I'm gonna hopefully end up with Pro Rodman (at best) from this. And I buy hot streaks.

The one thing I can't buy is time. If you don't put together 5 hrs of play a day, you don't get a Legendary. Period. No matter how good your deck is or how many Hot Streaks you buy.

And, for the record... I have 2 Legendary Pros and nothing worse than Epic Pro in my season lineup (Rodman Pro barely makes my season bench). And THIS is the lineup I'm using for Rivals because I'm winning way more this way. Seriously... Epic Packs really don't do squat to improve your team in Rivals.

Well how many points are needed for a legendary? I guess its like 10k points? Thats 1k points a day with hotstreaks, so about 2 hours a day.

This is exactly right. Unless you grind at least 6 hours a day you're not even getting the rivals card (125+), let alone the top 25. Even with hot streaks, that's 3 hours a day playing over 6 days. Anyone with a family and kids isn't going to have this much time. Rivals is definitely FOR grinders.

And that's why they have hot streaks, so people with jobs, families and other obligations can be competitive. But the problem comes from when you HAVE to use hot streaks in order to win, which is kind of where it's getting with the top 10 and to a lesser extent top 25, unless you have 12 hours a day to spend grinding, which is honestly ridiculous if you have a job or any other kind of obligations.

So what's the solution? I still maintain point caps are the solution. Cap the top tier at a reasonable amount, maybe 4-6 hours a day of playing (without hot streaks), and people who do want buy hot streaks can pay and get it done within 2-3 hours.

Hey peeps.

I am new to this site and i already have a question.

I want to invest in 2500 credits. What should i Do with them?

At the Moment i have pro Jo Noah, some pro Blue cards and a complete blue season lineup.

What Do you think?

I am also in rank 7100 in rivals but i dont know how to get to rank 4500 effectively (is that a Word?)

I would not invest in epic packs. There is only a 1:4 (or worse) chance to get a legendary card. Team packs are also not worth the money, there is no chance for legendary cards and only a 1:12 chance for an epic card. I bought 24 teampacks and it gave me a 2 Stockton epic cards, that was lucky and remember there are not that many Jazz cards and only 2 epic Jazz cards ingame. So when you have another team with more players and epic cards then the Jazz, the chances to get an epic pro card out of buyed team packs are lower. Losing Playoff round 1 is a better way to get an epic pro out of the team cards, so dont pay, just tank for that cards.

When you have good maxed out rare pro cards, normal epic cards are pretty useless. So just play the game and collect the good rare pro cards, when you want epic pro cards or legendary cards you have to pay a lot of money or play your heart out at the rival events.

I dont know what is up with Top4500, I have just parked at place 200 with 10k points, only one epic support card drafted in this event.

After 22k picks, I drafted no epic pro or legendary card, so if you dont want to spend the big buck you better concentrate on collecting the good rare cards. That is also fun.

If you want to get the epic pro, you have to get 3,300 points. Im ranked at 2,271 with 3,034 points
