Gonna be like chumming the waters with those playoff cards. Sharks are going to be everywhere...

I know it will be like that, but it'll also be easier to rank up as the ranking will be more smoother (hopefully) ... unless CD does the worst move ever and makes PO cards replace RC/HOF/MVP cards and puts it to where the Top 1000 can only get him or something like that.

I'm not going to say that "screwing people" intentionally is okay, but at the end of the day, it's just a game. Is it kind of a douchebag move to intentionally do that to someone? Absolutely. Is it the end of the world? Far from it.

There's much more important things to be worried about. Things happen, brush it off and move on brother.

It is kind of funny, too. So long as it doesn't happen to you! I was really lazy with a season a few weeks ago, I got like the 9th seed. Well the 8th seed was way better and whooped me. Oh well.

Is there any news about whether you have to get to the finals in playoff seasons in order to get a playoff card or is it enough to win a star season or get to the QF in playoff seasons?

I'm not going to say that "screwing people" intentionally is okay, but at the end of the day, it's just a game. Is it kind of a douchebag move to intentionally do that to someone? Absolutely. Is it the end of the world? Far from it.

There's much more important things to be worried about. Things happen, brush it off and move on brother.

I never mentioned that it was the end of the world. Like I mentioned earlier. It's just to notify the OS community that someone like this is out there. Also end of the day, yes it's a game. But some people use it as an escape from the real world. So whether or not it's a game or not, it still shows that someone is trying to cheat somebody out of something.

I guess I see it as a prick move, but considered how easy seasons are it doesn't bother me. Im much more upset when I get a trash star card or even worst 3 copies of the same bad card in a row (which happen last week. 2 Conleys from back to back season rewards & 1 from my reset.)

And you've done it to me before, not as cutthroat as tanking on purpose to beat people in the 1st round. Im not accusing you of that but back in Leg seasons you beat me in the QF with a LU more than capable of competing in Star seasons, yet you were down in Legendary crushing my hopes with your Star pros & common bench.

I actually remember that season. There are major differences you aren't considering. First of all it was a legendary season, which puts the goal at obviously getting first place for a star. Secondly I was the number 1 seed in that season, I worked for it and I got a star as a result. Third, I was not able to make it to star seasons as I had mainly leg pros and stars but a weak bench. The difference this time is that CD changed the rewards for the star seasons. Vermouth could have been given his star card along with Javian. There is no higher reward yet at least. So please do not compare the season we had to the one vermouth just did. Thanks.

We’re pretty stoked about the upcoming Playoff Update to myNBA2K15. On top of adding a bunch of killer cards into the mix, it’ll usher in a new player experience that’ll make it easier to connect with your friends, collect more cards, and catch the latest game news. We’ll give you more details on the update as a whole later because today we want to really dive in and chat with you about the new Season rewards we’re introducing in the Playoff Update.



Let’s get to it, then.



Most notably, we’ve created a “Playoff tier.” The rewards break down like this: first and 2nd place contenders will each win a Playoff card + credits. Third and 2^nd round contenders will both earn HOF cards, with the former receiving credits. First round Playoff contenders get a MVP card. MVPs, by the way, will be available to auction.


Season rewards for Star tier are not changing. We’ve made this decision because we think it’s the most effective way to propel players out of Star seasons and into the new tier. This tier in particular currently has a LOT of incredible decks in it, so a new Playoff tier should thin it out and help both fringe-level players and Star+ players. Other tiers will not change, either.

You act like its a 4 day RC grind or something. All you have to do is energize a couple times a day. It requires 0 effort, so need to paint the guy in a negative light seems a bit extreme.



LOL Im sorry but i cant take this reply seriously. This guy trolls someone out of a imaginary card on a phone game & you call him a "sub-human prick". Jesus christ man, he made someone miss out on a better reward, he didn't kill them.

There's no excuse for going out of your way to intentionally cause someone else grief for your own pleasure. It doesn't matter if it's a little thing or a small thing. In fact, I would argue that if you cannot act like a proper human being when it comes to the little things, then you cannot be trusted to be a human being when it comes to anything that really matters.

This guy Javian has a lineup that can go 98-0 every single Star season. There's no reason for him to ever beat anything other than a Bot in the first round. He intentionally tanks his record so he can keep a real person from getting a reward. There's no reason for that sort of malicious behavior. It's not acceptable, no matter what the context.

Question no longer dodged. They just made the announcement on Playoff season rewards. Although only 1st/2nd place only get Playoff cards as we suspected, the subsequent rewards are HOF and MVP. I guess can't complain too much about that.
