    2) I don't like floppers, period. I know Harden isn't the only player who flops in the NBA (Manu, Griffin, etc...) but Harden does it so consistently it gets old.

    3) Harden's not a 2 way player...can't play defense if his life depended on it.

Harden should win an Oscar award before winning MVP...
Can i hear why you think Curry should win MVP over Harden? I mean i think curry is going to win because it's an ongoing trend that best player on the number 1 seed MAJORITY of the time(before people start jumping down my throat) because i know KD won it last year as the second seed behind the spurs, but you couldn't really give League MVP to someone on the spurs last year. But the year Dirk won..his team was number 1 seed. The year Drose won his team was number 1 seed. Which is why i think Curry will win as he's a standout player on a number 1 seed team.

Edit: But my personal choice would be harden over Curry

If we talking numbers alone, Westbrook should win the MVP looool.

Curry and team are so good that Curry doesn't even play 4th QTRs. Curry deserves MVP. Curry is a pure shooter and doesn't pad his stats with FTs also.

Now you're just assuming I think Curry should win MVP. The only time I mentioned Curry was that he doesn't flop. =P

But in all seriousness, for the exact reasons you stated. The committee usually judges MVP based on the best player on the best team (which I don't completely agree with but that's besides the point).

It's true that Curry didn't "carry" his team in the manner in which Harden/AD/Westbrook did, but he didn't need to. If Curry wanted to dominate with 30+ points a game, he could have...I think everyone sees that. Hitting back to back 3's for Curry is like shooting a layup. The guy can hit 3's, he can handle the ball, he can pass, he can play DEFENSE. He's a two way player, something I can't say the same for Harden.

Westbrook had me sold! on MVP the way he was playing, he was on a whole other level. But, you need to take that 8th spot if you want to consider yourself an MVP. If he made sure he secured that 8th spot for his team he'd still have my vote. And i know they beat the wolves and the pels beat the spurs but OKC shouldn't have lost that game to the pacers.

If u think FTs pad stats then KD padded his stats last year with FTs, he averaged 10 free throws per game last year. The Harden cannot win MVP coz he lives of the free throw line is dumb. Durant has done it most of his career and Westbrook also averaged 10 free throw attempts this year but in ur opinion Russell should win MVP but its so wrong when its Harden doing it. I'm neutral to this MVP award race coz I think both Curry and Harden deserve it but some od the arguments given against Harden is ridiculous imo.

Yeah but Westbrook drives hard and gets knocked on his *** usually...doesn't really flop much, he legitimately takes a beating to get those free throws.

I agree with that and my mistake Kclutch it was lakerking who quoted Harden4mvp and said curry is going to win. But yeah i agree with you 100%. Like someone said earlier curry half of the games only plays 3 quarters because they blow out the other team and he isn't needed for the 4th. So that needs to be accounted for, but the fact that GS is such a balanced team with Klay draymond barnes and their bench Curry doesn't have to stand out the way harden/Ad/and westbrook do. And for me the definition for league mvp is the player who does the most for their team. Which is why my vote is harden. Given curry would most likely stand out just as much as harden if his team wasn't as good as it is, but you can't just assume that. I think it should go to whoever plays the best and does the most for their team regardless of their standing.

Nah, no worries man. I absolutely agree with you. Yes, Harden DOES do more for his team (flopping or not flopping) because he has to shoulder the load on offense. I think we're all in agreement there.

I also agree, Curry has not HAD to do much in the 4th quarter this year as much as Harden does. However, in the times that he has had to come up in the 4th quarter (see Game 3 against NO as an example), Curry has stepped up when called upon. Curry easily can dominate ball games like Harden does, but he hasn't because he wants to play within Kerr's system. Just because Curry hasn't had to doesn't mean he can't. That's all I'm trying to say. =)

We are always feisty that's why it's entertaining here. It's all in good fun though, everyone here loves the NBA and this stupid game...and we all have our opinions on both. But it's a damn good community overall and we keep each other going through the boring *** grinding. So yes welcome to the forum Mr. Harden

Yeah agree it's not always smart of him, as the dented face earlier in the year proves. He plays with heart though you gotta give him that.

I guess you haven't seen Westbrook do his patented flop 3 point attempts or 2 point jump shots that gets him to the line.

Curry doesn't play defense. Well he tries but he's not good at it, so I dont count that "playing defense". Idk what his steals numbers are but I've never seen Curry lock down someone or even slow them down on the defensive end.
